Minute Mage: A LitRPG Adventure Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 581 ratings

When you steal Time Magic, prepare to run for eternity...

Arlan can go back in time by one minute, once per day.

Want to turn an ambush around on an opponent? Need to go back and trigger a lethal trap? He can get a redo as long as he acts fast. And every time he levels up, he can go back a little further.

But, even with his growing power, Arlan has never been in more danger. He was left stranded in the middle of a monster-infested forest, nobody to rely on but himself as he fights to build strength.

And his time magic wasn't given to him freely.

He stole it.

And its original owners would go to any lengths to take it back.

Don't miss the start of a new LitRPG Adventure filled with time magic, three-dimensional characters, a crunchy LitRPG System, tactical combat, and power progression where level-ups are hard-earned and bring with them meaningful change in characters’ abilities.

I’ve been into fantasy for a long time now and I’ve read quite a bit in a wide range of sub genres, Reg Rome has made something truly unique here. With compelling characters and a wide ranging plot, he will keep you reading to the end. I’m already waiting for the next book to come out. The magic of this world is incredibly unique and detailed but he makes sure that any reader can follow it. Every character can be related to on some level making sure that any reader has something to follow. This was my first experience with the LitRPG genre and I have to say it was a positive one, if you’re looking to start I would have to say that this is a great place.

Great story and premise, just have to ignore a number of glaring plot holes. I’m undecided on whether I’ll read the 2nd book after just finishing the first. I’ll probably pick it up if it’s on KU though because I’m curious enough about where the characters will go.

If I had to pay for it I’d probably give it 3 stars, but it’s better than some of the other KU titles I’ve read so I’m giving it a 4. If you have KU and read a lot, give it a try.

This is a fine litrpg fantasy adventure novel. It is well written and edited. I especially like the Dryad. I anxiously await the sequel.

So it's an interesting premise and I really like the variety but the world building is very weak and about a third of the way through the story just gets really stupid and basically from there on out it's just plot armor. Extremely disappointing how this turned out.

It’s exciting to read a story about a time mage and there is a ton of room for growth. I’m actually excited to see the MC get overpowered in book 2.

Pros: fun power, solid storyline, easy read, sweet sweet op MC
Cons: character development surrounding the MC and his partner was lacking. I felt the bad guy had way more character development that I loved to see.

I enjoyed this. I like how the class isn’t solely about time and that he is a mage as well. It gave the story more flavor.

The constantly running plot did get a little old though.

This is a fun and interesting start of a great series. Looking forward to the next one. I give the author props for his world building and characters. I wasn't exactly sure what I was expecting when I picked this one up. But I am glad I did. Well done sir. Well done.

Lit rpg genre is full of melee types such as tanks, rogues. Swordsmen etc. Stories of mages are few. I am a great fan of stories depicting mages so I very much enjoyed this book.

Was it worth it? Not really. At times I considered giving up as a vast amount if time was spent admiring his status.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent first novel in the series

Overall, an enjoyable read. Tldr is that I enjoyed it enough to read the next, it was a bit predictable, spent too much time and book space on stat's, spell descriptions and FULLY fleshed out damage and death notifications. With the worst offenders being a couple chapters that ended with a couple pages of spell descriptions and then instantly repeated those exact same ones (all of them) at the start of the next chapter. Easy enough to skip over when reading, but got annoying at times I was listening to the audio book. The caveat to this is that while there's a lot of unnecessary stuff put in that feels like it's bloating the book, even without that it would be a large book , so lots of adventure and story still in the book, not just stat filler. As for thr positives, I liked the characters, even if they started super shallow they did eventually start to get fleshed out for the most part. All the good parts of this book are mostly 4/5 , eg how well written, edited, characters etc, with the couple really well done bits being how everything to do with hell was handled (had me laughing constantly), or the way the world's system worked being another highlight. Overall though a solid 4* book, and I'm looking forward to the next
