    Buyers beware, AMD Ryzen on most boards doesn't support memory speeds over 3200MHz on 4 DIMM slots. I was able to get this kit to run at 3600MHz on 4 DIMMS or 4000MHz on 2 DIMMs. Memory works great, good compatibility with Asus Crosshair VIII Hero motherboard. Performance boost over 3200MHz DIMMs. Price wasn't bad at $249 for the kit.

    This was the only memory on the QVL for my motherboard with 4 DIMM support, although the QVL specifically say ver 4.31. not sure the version number recieved.

    I have to bump the voltage up to 1.4v to get 4000MHz at *20* CL.

    Corsair and Asus need to work on that...

    the memory is great...it's on a A0 (8 layers) PCB, Samsung 8 Gb B-die (Boltzmann / 20 nm) / 1 die and 1024M x64 (1 rank)....but my Asus Crosshair VIII Dark Hero doesn't recognize it without voltage bumping.

    And by "doesn't recognize it" I mean memory not seen beeps by the motherboard.

    Edit: only 4 because it's not qualified. Would be a five if it were.

    This is Listed On my MB compatibility list but will not run over 3766. I tried both xmp profiles. Tried Voltage up to 1.45. Tried timing over 20c. Tried Ryzen Calculator. All failed will not fuction stable over 3766 on a MSI Gaming Edge Wifi, or at least mine anyway. Good luck to the rest of you in the shadowy world wide "cross your fingers and hope it works silicon lottery" while we pay out the arse for computer parts. It is truly sad prices are over double, on most stuff, than it was 2 years ago and the manufacturers cant even take the time to test them all ON EVERY MOTHERBOARD THEY ARE COMPATIBLE WITH. Before shipping. I mean damn all the money you folks are making...I would think you could hire more folks to test your stuff. Oh well, that is what returns are for. Thanks for my money back Amazon.

    Initially, after installing the ram, I experienced severe instability under little to no load and had multiple blue screens (reset bios to default and no overclock).

    After a couple weeks and few bios updates, my PC started to remain stable under light load but starts to freak out after a couple hours of heavy gaming load.

    Currently, I've only changed to the xmp I setting for better frame rate in games like battlefield 2042, and I've only experienced minor instability while gaming and streaming (so basically what is expected).

    Not sure where the instability issues were steming from but I swapped back and forth between my previous ram and this ram, and I only had instability on this set until recently.

    So 3 stars, works now but had some issues.
