I'm extremely impressed by this controller at this price.
    5 Stars
I'm extremely impressed by this controller at this price.
I am by no means an expert on controllers, but I want to give my take on this product, partly because there are so few reviews on it as of right now, but also because I just really like the feel of this controller and want to support it.Let me monologue for a moment: My previous controller has served me very well and is actually still in working order. (A nice Afterglow for the 360. A highly recommended workhorse in its own right) I say this just to emphasize how not desperate I was for a new controller. I just felt it was time to upgrade after building a new rig and happened to notice that there was a new gamepad available "for the series x".MOST IMPORTANT THINGS I'll try to list in order below:I was immediately able to plug it in to my Windows 10 PC via USB and it worked flawlessly, as I would expect.THIS IS NOT A WIRELESS CONTROLLER. The connection is micro USB that locks into the back of the controller. Come with a LONG braided cord with a breakaway point. Seems robust.Sticks feel great. Easy to move but they spring back to center. The joystick buttons feel good. The triggers are indeed adjustable and are noticeably different between settings. (As far as this goes for professional play, I don't know, but I suspect it would suffice as some sort of backup controller at the very least)R/L 1 buttons also feel good. Smooth satisfying press. Even the directional pad feels good. The A/B/X/Y buttons are standard. The AGR and AGL back buttons are, in my opinion, very well-placed and I'm looking forward to playing games in which they will have some use. When I looked at the reviews for the other controller I saw that some people didn't know how to turn these off. Just in case, here's what it says in the instructions for that:HOLD PROGRAM BUTTON FOR 3 SECONDS, THE LED's WILL FLASH INDICATING PROGRAM MODE. PRESS AGR/AGL BUTTONS FOR 5 SECONDS TO RESET TO NO FUNCTION.The black matte finish is nice, and I want to emphasize that these LED's are EXTREMELY VIBRANT. My phone's camera doesn't do it justice. I'll try to explain the color choices a little bit:There are four colors; red, blue, green, and yellow. You can choose several shades of each, and whether it is solid or "breathes". There are also three sections of the controller that can change between those colors and settings. I would describe these sections as the outside, middle, and inner sections. Outside being the highlights around the edge of the controller, middle being the left stick and the A/B/X/Y buttons, and inner being most of the right stick and directional pad. It does indeed allow for a lot of customization. For instance, I set mine to an icy blue with warmer pink pulsing in the middle. A really great look that my phone camera doesn't do justice. The mic button is left/right volume toggle, and as another review has stated, it is also a button that mutes and unmutes. I haven't tested this function myself. The other buttons like start, select, share, and xbox are buttons and they work.Overall I'm extremely satisfied with this gamepad and I'm really happy I upgraded. I see myself buying more products from PowerA in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great controller for a good price
Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2022
The package was pretty much ok, some bends but nothing to worry. It contained controller, cable and user manual. Cable seems of good quality and has a decent length for most uses. Something I didn't expected was the amount of costumability, from the back buttons, to trigger depth, to RGB lighting, much appreciated. At first I wasn't looking to buy a controller with RGB, but it was at same price as the normal controller so why not. Great variation of colors, obviously not all kinds of colors but has a ton to choose from. Something to remark is the outer lighting, or what they call the zone 1, is pretty dim even after maxing brightness, maybe it's my controller but I thought important to point it out. But as I told RGB it's not a concern for me but someone may find this info useful. I tested the aux control and seems to work fine, not used to play with headphones so haven't used it that much, just to check if it worked and it did. About the buttons seems to work fine, good press feeling, maybe not extreme quality but for the price it's pretty good. Haven't played a lot with it so time will tell how good it behaves. In that case, this is a partial review and I fill satisfied with my investment. If the ratting of this review doesn't change its because no major problems have appeared.
Side note: I use this controller for PC, so it may be different when used with a Xbox One/ Xbox Series S/X

4.0 out of 5 stars Great controller, but the bumpers need fixing.
Reviewed in the United States on May 4, 2023
TL;DR - It's a nice controller, but a thin piece of plastic that the L/R bumpers depend on isn't as strong as it should be and is prone to breakage and bending.

To start off, it's a wonderful controller. The power over the LED lights is nice, it feels good to hold, controls feel smooth, and it just feels generally good to USE.

HOWEVER, there is a fundamental issue with the controller, specifically in regard to the left and right bumpers. This appears to be consistent with some other buyers, and I personally encountered this issue after around 8 months of use.
While playing, I noticed that the right bumper only seemed to work around half of the time, but I could change that by pressing it in a different location. Then, it started to make a particularly loud clicking sound. Moments later, it stopped working entirely.
I looked through PowerA's limited warranty, and they unfortunately do not cover basic wear and tear. I eventually gave up trying to have them repair it (after more research), and decided to try and fix it myself. Upon disassembling the controller, I discovered that the left and right bumpers are ultimately a simple mechanism designed to press a small button. The part that actually interacts with the button is a thin piece of plastic, covered with a small pad. In my case, the pad had fallen off, and the plastic piece's end could not properly reach the button.
While trying to create an avant-garde replacement, I discovered another thing: the thin piece of plastic of which the pad was on had bent backwards, and was on the verge of snapping completely. I hadn't noticed this until I had accidentally broken it by just touching it wrong, unfortunately. I fixed it up with some glue and using some duct tape as the "pad", and it works fine again now.
Ultimately, the piece of plastic of which interacts with the L/R bumper buttons is far too flimsy, and will probably bend for most users after enough time if used enough. Besides this one issue, I have almost zero problems with the rest of the controller.

    Vale apena recomendo o produto..

For the price, compared to Scuf and other elite controllers with buttons/paddles on the back. This controller has lots of value, especially for games like COD that helps to have 2 buttons on the back. The controller is decent quality, began to get a bit of stick drift but that's expected for controllers overtime, including +100 quid controller like Scuf, so I can't fault it. Overall, it has very good value, and likely will buy again.
