How to Make Sure the Drives is not Short-Circuit
A shorted driver is installed on the motherboard and may cause the burning of the motherboard. Please make sure that drives you received are not short-circuited.
- Turn the multimeter to the buzzer position, connect the positive test lead to VM, and the negative test lead to GND to check if there is a short circuit, and next use the same way to test if there is a short circuit between VCC and GND. Then make sure there is no short circuit before plugging into the motherboard.
- Second, When inserting drivers on the main board, please figure out the direction is right, pay attention that the EN pin of the driver corresponds to the EN pin of the main board.
- Before turning on powering, first check if there is a short circuit between 24V and GND, +5V and GND, and 3.3V and GND.
- If everything is going well then connect power with your printer and enjoy your printing.

Pros:
Runs my stepper motors quieter than any other driver I've owned, and I've owned a lot. DRVs As and older TMCs. These put them to shame.
Ability to control vref voltage from menus on my printer is really nice.
Sensor less homing is the bomb once you get it tuned.
Cons:
Had to remove a pin to get sensor less homing working. This was a pain.
Price.
Other thoughts:
These were spendy but if you were like me and keep having motors over heat, these will fix your problem. Worth every penny.
When testing StallGuard the example code missing a line setCoolStepDurationThreshold(0xFFFFFF). Without this line the DIAG pin will not assert when a stall is detected. Also, this chip will not automatically disable the driver when StallGuard is triggered. You have to sense the DIAG status and handle it in MCU code.
I had initially a problem with one of the drivers that was faulty but Bigtreetech send a new one and I got that one and the other ones straight away.
They come with nice heatsinks and are very easy to setup. I adjusted the voltage to around 1V for the X/Y/Z axis and 1.2V for the extruder.
Now the printer is very very quiet and unless I'm looking at the printer I'm not sure if it's printing or not as the only sound I can hear is the different fans spinning.
They've been running for a few months already and still going strong. Definitely is a product I would recommend
