The Thread Binding Them Together As Sisters Is All Too Fragile...

The bittersweet reunion of the Robichaud family and the Harrows in the land of the Acadians has brought two mothers and two daughters full circle. They rekindle those early bonds and experience restoration of those lost years, but time and tragedy have left their indelible imprints on all who have endured the decades of separation and uncertainty. Moving forward with their lives now means further farewells--not as devastating as the one long ago, but no less heart wrenching.

Their connection, which goes beyond that of "sisters" to best friends, will be tested by the coming Revolution and the lure of England--parted again, the reunited, but for how long...? Can their friendship sustain the startling revelation concerning...The Birthright?

The characters were beautifully crafted with humor, honesty, growing faith, and a willingness to change. The plot was amazing in its twists and turns. The ending prompted a "wow"!

I love the continued story of Nicole and Anne. The historical settings and maritime adventures are captivating. I love the transformation that God worked in Uncle Charles/Sir. Charles. The Song of Acadia series is contagious. I share it with all who care to listen. I've read the series so many times that I have lost count. It is my favorite. I so wish a movie would be made to do it honor.

God many times wants our willingness to give up our plans but as I learned in my life, he does not always require that we do, just that we get to a spirital place in our walk with him that we will say whatever you require.

The Song of Acadia series, written by Janette Ole, T Davis Bunn is OUTSTANDING.
The story wraps it as around your heart and you become part of the adventure of the Familes involved. There circumstances in life brings many trials and much joy as they lean on GODS love and guidance. Many lessons can be learned and shared through their life in the beginning of the colonies and the hardship of war. The adventures of characters, it is so real. A Must read.

This is my 2nd reading of the "Song of Acadia) series and the story and characters are as compelling and rich as they were on my first read. There is nothing lightweight or common in this series and this 3rd book. I'd highly recommend starting from the beginning and reading the whole series. It brings alive historical times and events that many readers won't be familiar with but does it through the eyes and hearts of those living through those events. I highly recommend this book and series if you love good characters and a constantly evolving plot within great historical contexts. I'm thoroughly enjoying my 2nd time in this series!

What a great follow up to the last book. Judd not think I would enjoy reading about the sisters journey to England but it had such twist and turns and in the end it was well written. Loved the story. I can't wait to read the next book.

Ooh, I loved all the twists!!! What an exciting book! While I'm not partial to England's nobility, this story focuses enough on the characters to not blind me with all the balls and formality!

I have read other Janette Oke books and that was why I purchased this one. I was not disappointed I have not been able to put the book down. The way that the ordinary struggles of the Christian life are interwoven into the story is remarkable. This is done in such a way that it is easy to offer this book to a non Christian to read. Well done I will certainly recommend it.
