Little Black Break

Rate this book
My name’s Sebastian Black, and my life as I know it is over. My little black book days were numbered the minute I met Rosslyn. She became my one and only and lightened my dark soul.

But now my past is threatening my future—threatening the woman I love. I’ll do whatever it takes to protect her. Even if I have to lie—pretend to cheat—I need her to leave my world and remain safe.

Breaking her heart is killing me, but I refuse to let my old sins destroy the only good in my life.

If you love her, let her go. If you’re dangerous like me, pray she stays away. I won’t let her get caught in the crossfire. No matter who I have to break.

This is just brilliant i was so glad when heard we were getting more of Sebastian an Rosslyn I luvd them in Little Black Book it was a great book an this was just as good there was so much drama it's started out with them bein so happy to them bein torn apart I think I was heartbroken through must of this book well at least half

Like I said everything was goin great life was great Rosslyn had graduated an Clive's was doin better than ever there relationship was stronger than ever thinks were goin so good Ye Sebastian was still bein his alpha protective self an stepped over the line quite a few time but Rosslyn kept her cool she just knew what he was like but he it did start to wear on her nerves she didn't want to b a kept woman she wanted her own money an job but Sebastian bein Sebastian just would let her b he had to control the situation an this is where things,got a lil messy but there was reasons for him wantin to protect her more than normal just just could let her know he wouldn't put her in danger so the lies started to pour in an this is where is got bad

I luv these to they r so sexy together an there sexy time is just so hot an steamy there sexual chemistry is just great an I still luv the way he calls her Jessica it's just brilliant an so cute but when these to r at each other's throats it's so hard they can both b so horrible to each other but Sebastian can take it a lil step further but even then the chemistry is still there they just want to rip each other's clothes of I even got caught up in parts when they got hot so did I angry I wanted to punch Sebastian when Rosslyn cried I nearly did as well ok I did in parts but she was so devastated I just wanted to hold her as usual can tell my emotions were al over the place an it what made me luv this book so much

I couldn't get enough of this book it was great everything about it was great the way is was written was great the characters were brilliant I fell in luv with Sebastian Black al over again the story was amazing I could put it down the drama was just so good an the ending I was smiling like the Cheshire Cat haha after everything I did thing it would go that way I would highly recommend this but I would read Little Black Book first but u will luv that an this they r so good xxx

I loved Little Black Book, so I was excited to see that Sebastian and Rosslyn were finally getting another book.

Sebastian and Rosslyn have come a long way in their relationship, but now someone is threating their happiness. Sebastian is determined to protect Rosslyn no matter the cost or heartbreak…

I enjoyed seeing Sebastian and Rosslyn’s lives again. Sebastian is as protective as ever. It was a bit hard reading them going through so much hurt and heartbreak because of some person who doesn’t want them to be together.

I liked this book. It was a good sequel that added some suspense. Rosslyn and Sebastian go through a lot in this book—but they make it through to the other side. The epilogue was a good little look into the future, and this sequel was just what these two needed! ~ Leah, 4 stars

~~~
Little Black Break is the second book that follows Sebastian and Rosslyn, as they take the next steps of their relationship…
I’m a huge fan of Little Black Book and was clawing at the fence for this book. I jumped into it as soon as it landed on my Kindle. It didn’t take two pages for me to be engrossed into the world that is Mr. Black. He is the ultimate alpha male. The type we all enjoy reading about. He’s hot, hungry for his woman, loves control and it’s his way or the highway. Rosslyn has a sassy mouth and doesn’t take his demands laying down. Sebastian will do anything for his Jessica—ANYTHING! To what extremes will he go? Read it and you’ll find out!
This is a typical Tabatha Vargo and Melissa Andrea book—and by typical, I mean it’s anything but. You never know what you will get when you jump into something they’ve written. There is angst, mystery, dominant men, sassy women, and so much more. I stayed up until 2:30AM to finish this book and I wasn’t disappointed. I was ready for more. More Mr. Black. More Jessica Rabbit. More Rosslyn. Just MORE… ~ Heather, 4 stars
Sebastian says…
“Nothing in the universe could make me leave her side.”
Rosslyn says…
“Nothing could take me away from you.”
“I’d never give up the chance to spend the rest of my lie with you.”
BUT the past says…
“Happily ever after didn’t exist…at least not for her.”
Just one more “play thing”
“Another name in his little black book”
This reviewer says…
With a “black heart” and a “black past,” Sebastian and his “Jessica Rabbit” need the strength and the gumption to not bend or break to anyone but each other. But, that’s easier said than done when threats and deception rule the world Sebastian resides in and with some hellbent on payback for any number of things, he’ll do whatever it takes to keep the woman who changed him…who brought light into his dark world, safe, even if it means destroying them and turning his heart black once again.
Sebastian Black is an alpha to the extreme, and Tabatha Vargo and Melissa Andrea showcase his dominant personality through this book, but what the authors also do is illustrate his insecurities, his fears, his torture, and his heartbreak. Sebastian is not an easy man to love because of his need for control and his belief that he always knows best. But, Rosslyn fits him perfectly because she has the courage to go toe to toe with him and make him work for everything that he “takes” from her.
Vargo and Andrea effortlessly capture Rosslyn’s pain and heartache when everything in her life turns sideways. Her feelings resonate off of the pages, and readers can’t help but be broken right along with her because it’s easy to understand her emotions. But, we also see Rosslyn’s backbone in Little Black Break, and even though she may not go about some things the right way, which ends up causing her more issues, at least she holds her ground with Sebastian and doesn’t allow him to walk all over her, which is what attracted Sebastian to Rosslyn in the first place.
Little Black Break proves that the sins of the past never truly go away and that without trust and honesty, the push/pull and give/take aspects of their relationship that have worked so well between Sebastian and Rosslyn won’t hold up to what is thrust at them because the foundation will already be cracked.
Sebastian Black put his little black book away in order to be with the woman he loves, but what happens when he can’t prevent them from breaking?
This story is the continuation of Sebastian Black and his love Rosslyn.  Finally with the drama in book one, you have them happy and in love enjoying life....
Oh... but don't get too settled... Ms. Vargo is not so sweet as to let the ride off in the sunset happily ever after....noooooooo.... She brings back a huge threat from Sebastian's life.. and the target is Rosslyn.
Princess-Elizabeth-300x252 Being Sebastian... instead of being honest with his love, he decides the safest route is to protect her a whole different way... hurting them both.  You go round and round with the pain and drama, and Rosslyn has other things to deal with as well...
I loved this story... It was exciting, and emotional!  It definitely made me think it would not get fixed and fear the outcome...Oh but Tabatha the evil genius that she is... heals your soul with the ending... just a great read!
What a total disappointment!
Absolutely loved Little Black Book but the other books from these two authors since then have really left a lot to be desired . Unfortunately I felt the same way about this book. The plotline is absolutely ridiculous. I'm totally sure that someone would get held at knifepoint and fail to mention it to their fiance. Give me a break. This and several other plot problems and just general cheesiness of the entire book just left me wishing I would have stopped reading the series after the first book.
Confieso que me hubiese conformado solo con unos capis qie refirieran a Ariel.
Se me hizo tedioso el libro debido a muchas situaciones fueron innecesarias, todo lo avanzado en el primero, retrocede.
Por momento odié profundamente a Sebastián.
Little Black Break was a book I could not put down to save my life. Seriously. I started this book with the intention of just reading a bit of it, and fast forward a few hours later and I soon found myself finishing this book at 2 o'clock in the morning. And you know what? I effing loved that because that showed me how captivating, how alluring, and just how downright enjoyable this book was. Like I said, I couldn't put this book down to save my life, and I was beyond wowed with everything I got to experience with Rosslyn and Sebastian in this book. Little Black Break was heated, action packed, and had my jaw dropping and my heart bursting more times than I could count, and I truly enjoyed every second of reading this book.
This book's events pick up after the events of the last book, and I have to say that I loved how easy it was to start right back in with these characters and with this story. I read Little Black Book, the first book in this series, over a year and a half ago, yet it was so easy to get back with these characters, to remember all that had happened, and to feel everything that Rosslyn and Sebastian shared. I would definitely recommend reading that book before this one so that you really get a sense of the love story that Rosslyn and Sebastian share, as well as how they got to the present of this book. Melissa Andrea and Tabatha Vargo really made this book so easy to jump right into, and the events, the feelings, and everything these two share just enveloped me in right from the start.
Little Black Break follows Sebastian Black and Rosslyn Harris as they begin the next stage of their relationship. They've gone through a lot, but they're finally on the other side, and better yet they're together and happy. They're content and looking forward to the next steps, and that's when things start to get bumpy. Things from Sebastian's past start coming back to haunt him, and soon Rosslyn is put in more danger than she realizes. Determined to protect her, Sebastian does all that he can, yet when the mysterious person from his past gets too close, he decides the only way he can protect Rosslyn is to keep her at a distance. What ensues in Little Black Break is full of jaw dropping revelations, heartbreaking and seriously emotional moments, and more feeling than you can shake a stick at as Sebastian tries to do all he can to protect the woman he loves and to find a way back to what they once were.
Sebastian Black is definitely a character you don't soon forget, and I realized that over and over again while reading this book. That man is fierce and protective and headstrong to say the least. He also loves Rosslyn with everything he's got, and he needs her like he needs his next breath. To say that he loves her is almost putting it too mildly to really capture what he feels towards her, and in this book he is faced with the grim realization that his past threatens that very love he has towards her. What I loved about Sebastian was that he is such a layered character. There's the charming, powerful, and enigmatic side the world sees. There's the playboy and cavalier side that the club sees, and that goes along with the front he puts on to keep Rosslyn at a distance, yet there's also an extremely raw and vulnerable side to him too. There's a side to him that fears, that worries, and that is tormented by what his dark past might mean for Rosslyn, and getting to fully experience that side along with his others was nothing short of everything.
You get to see the many sides of Sebastian Black in Little Black Break. You get to see him struggle and fight and give it his all as he tries to protect Rosslyn, what they share, and as he tries to find a solution to the problems they face. I loved how distinctive Sebastian's character was, and that man is a true force to be reckoned with, and really he's a man who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to do anything for that. I absolutely loved the emotional connection I had to his character, and I loved getting to be there with him through it all as he gave it all to save the love he so deeply cherished. Sebastian is fierce, powerful, and you don't mess with him one little bit, and this book will show you that with him again and again.
Rosslyn's character was the perfect, and I mean perfect, counterpart to Sebastian. That girl is no wilting flower, and she gave it to that man just as good as he gave it to her. What I loved about Rosslyn was that she was real and honest and just a good person. She wanted to make the world better, she didn't want to just take Sebastian's money, and she wasn't looking for the easy road. She wanted to work, she wanted to be a force of good, and she wanted to spend the rest of her life loving the one and only Sebastian Black. Her shear determination and fire was so admirable and easy to love.
I also loved that even when things got a bit wonky, when Sebastian started to pull away, she was always there fighting and pushing and giving it her all in order to be with the man that she loved. Sure she had her highly emotional moments, and rightfully so with what that girl has to endure, but through it all she never let up. She never gave up hope and even though her heart was breaking into a million little pieces, she kept firing through and being the amazing firecracker that she was, and that is just part of why I loved her so much.
Sebastian and Rosslyn's relationship definitely goes through the ringer a bit in this book. They are both put to the emotional test, and there were so many moments when reading this book when my heart just shattered for the two of them, yet at the same time I completely understood why things needed to be the way that they were. At the same time you felt the undeniable and visceral connection that Rosslyn and Sebastian shared, and you could tell how soul deep their love was. There was no denying it or avoiding it or ignoring it, and you felt every lick of that love and desire and feeling through every word of this book.
I was rooting for the two of them something fierce while reading, and I have to say that I was blown away by what I got with them. They just made this book the fantastic thing that it was, and getting to be there, living through every minute of this book with them as they tried to fight through everything that came their way, made me love the two of them even more. Their love is real, its honest, and its almost tangible when you experience this book, and that just invests you in it all even more than you already were.
Melissa Andrea and Tabatha Vargo truly created the perfect follow up to Little Black Book. This story held the best amount of action, jaw dropping revelations, and enough mystery to keep you hooked from the very first word until the end. Little Black Break also weaved together the most heart squeezing emotion and feeling that will break your heart, melt it again and again, while trying to put it all back together again. This book gives you one helluva love story that shows the true lengths one will go to to be with the one that they love. And sure it isn't easy and it hurts like hell, but Little Black Break and Sebastian and Rosslyn emphasize how worth it that fight and that love and all of that feeling and heartbreak can be if you're with the right person.
Exciting and enthralling from beginning to end, Little Black Break was a book I couldn't stop reading and loving all the way through. It blended the action, romance, and feels in the best way, and the writing of these author's paced it all out fantastically and in a way that just worked. I thoroughly enjoyed the all-feeling and action packed ride I took with Sebastian and Rosslyn in Little Black Break, and I truly can't say that enough. If you loved the first book, I guarantee you'll love this one even more, and in the end you'll just be downright smitten with the one and only Sebastian Black, and the woman who brings him to his knees.
Wonderfully intense, completely alluring, and filled with the best level of heat, story, and emotion, Little Black Break gives you the right amount of everything to create a read you won't stop thinking or feeling or experiencing anytime soon. So do yourself a favor, and just read this book, and get to loving it, because let me tell you, it is so damn easy to love. Trust me.
Carino, una lettura piacevole.
Carino, ma superfluo. Diciamo che, se si vuole proprio seguire le regole per dare l'epilogo con fiocco rosa o blu, è meglio fare solo una semplice novella di chiusura. Purtroppo la parte drammatica non mi ha colpita, perché comunque è palese che lui lo sta facendo per salvarla e che poi si risolverà tutto... Comunque, lo stile delle due autrici è sempre molto elegante e coinvolgente!
Oh Sebastian Black how I love thee. Let me count the ways...
I loved this instalment of the Little Black Book Series. I'm not usually one who enjoys reading books about alpha males but there is something about Sebastian Black that makes a reader *swoon and sigh.* Tabatha Vargo and Melissa Andrea do a fab job of balancing all of Sebastian's alpha hotness with his insecurities and vulnerabilities. Which is an absolute perfect combination for a hot, sexy story.
I love the suspense part of the story too. It keeps the reader on their toes and page turning. And while I figured out the who, I didn't quite expect the twist at the end. I loved the epilogue... you'll have to read the book to find that out. No spoilers here.
The dynamic that the duo writing team have created between Rosslyn and Sebastian makes for all the feels. There's great humour, there are those awww how sweet moments and there are moments you want to throw your Kindle at both the characters.
Little Black Break is one of those books that are perfect for getting you out of a funk. It's not based on rocket science but rather a whole lotta fun and sexiness.
Oh Sabastian Black…….. There are soooo many things I would love to do to you ;)
Tabatha and Melissa do it again with Little Black Break, I didn’t realize how much I needed more Sabastian in my life until I read this book. You get to see the sexy alpha male you fell in love with in the first book. (You may fall in love with him even more)
This book is filled with everything you would expect from Tabatha and Melissa! It has the steamy sex scenes we all know we look forward too, then there are those OMG moments where you’re sitting there biting your nails hoping and praying everything is going to turn out the way you want it to. The chemistry between Sabastian and Rosslyn is undeniable and how they interact makes love their personalities.
From page one I was in a hurry to devour this book so I could see how it ends. I’m SO happy that this is a trilogy so that I get to see more of Sabastian and Rosslyn, I don’t think I could ever get enough of these two! Tabatha and Melissa, you did an AMAZING job with this book and I can’t wait to read more from you!
What Sebastian did to me in book 1 well it is happening again in book 2. You do need to read book 1 in the series to get the full story of Sebastian and Rosslyn, this is a story packed full of romance, and some seriously sexy moments as well as plenty of developments in the story of Sebastian and Rosslyn. There was plenty of times i was reading the story and was delighted by the way the story twisted and turned giving us further developments into their lives. I was just as invested in the characters as i was reading book 2, and as this book is part of a trilogy i cannot wait to read more in the story. Sebastian will make your kindle steam and I love Rosslyn as they have a great battle of its and desire for the upper hand, and when Sebastian says... you will do it as he is that brilliant sort of alpha male book boyfriend who you will want to comply with :)
SINOPSIS
Mi nombre es Sebastian Black, y mi vida tal como la conozco ha terminado. Mis pequeños días del libro negro estaban contados desde el momento en que conocí a Rosslyn. Ella se convirtió en mi única y aligeró mi alma oscura.
Pero ahora mi pasado está amenazando mi futuro, amenazando a la mujer que amo. Haré lo que sea necesario para protegerla. Incluso si tengo que mentir - pretendiendo engañar - necesito que ella se vaya de mi mundo y se mantenga a salvo.
Romper su corazón me está matando, pero me niego a dejar que mis viejos pecados destruyan lo único bueno en mi vida.
Si la quieres, déjala ir. Si eres peligroso como yo, reza para que se mantenga alejada. No dejaré que quede atrapada en el fuego cruzado. No importa a quién tenga que romper.
What a Scheme???
The steps that Sebastian took to 'keep Rosslyn safe' was stupid IMO. Why not let her be in the know like Gideon did in the 'Crrossfire' series by Sylvia Day? Why put her through the humiliation of letting her come to the club so she can witness you surrounded by women and making out with them? Your staff and friends witnessing the put down? Why?
Rosslyn herself did little to be a grown woman. She took a job in an unsafe area of the city and lied to her fiancé about it. You are connected to a millionaire and you wilfully put yourself in harm's way. I don't know, it all just read like a quagmire hodgepodge of bad decision making to me. The kidnap and shooting scene did not make sense either. I don't want to do spoilers, so I'll leave it at that.
I loved this books and what happened with this one, I have no idea. What a disappointment he was.
She maintained, or tried. The storyline was bumpy, the flow wasn't that great and the plot could have been so much more.
He once again shoved his assholery up Rosslyn's backside with the scene at the bar. Whatever he did was ok, but not her. Yeah I know he's alpha. This book just turned him into every other butt weed character in the same kind of book. He lies, not just to her to himself and in the long run fails her.
This book had a great plot and could have been so much better. It felt rushed and have done. There was so much missing. Even Max was useless.
Very disappointed . Good thing I held out and didn't purchased. I read this on ku.
Great 2nd Book!!
Once again, another great story of Sebastian and Rosslyn. Would you let the love of your life go in order to keep her safe? Would you forgive your "the one" if he bummed you and treated you like crap?
I couldn't put this book down. Absolutely great romance, drama and mystery! A must read!!
This one had me feeling a lot of emotions, liked the first better, this one gave it a run for it's money.
Still wanted to kick the Hero's butt more times then others, in both books I've read.
Loved the heroin though.
I was very scared to read this because I always hate when authors have to put the HEA characters through something traumatic or heart breaking to write another book. But this one wasn’t that bad. I guess because I had a look into each of their minds that I got a good grasp on why things were happening….now don’t get me wrong, there were things I really didn’t like….BEWARE OF SPOILERS AHEAD WHILE I RANT…
…Rosslyn…oh Rosslyn…when Sebastian pushed her away and hurt her to try and keep her safe, she turned into this Bella Swan type Heroine, curled up in a tight ball, pathetic woman who can’t function without her man. He would summon her for other reasons and she would perk up and run to him EVERYTIME…even after she would purposefully hurt her, she would continue to jump at his every command. I mean…what a pathetic Heroine. And the thing that pissed me off the most…so she got knocked up prior to all of this and just found out. Sebastian makes it seem like he is cheating on her because someone is watching him to make sure he stays away from Rosslyn. Now when shit hits the fan and he can’t take it anymore, he goes to her and fucks the shit out of her..I don’t have a problem with that…I have a problem that Rosslyn let him screw her without a condom all the while thinking he has been sleeping around…BITCH UR MOTHERFUKING PREGNANT and not taking any precautions to keep your baby safe!!!! I would have felt better if before he rammed it home, she said hold up and asked about it and then found out he had lied about moving on…maybe the author did have her ask that but if she did, maybe I was so pissed off that I blocked out that little section…who knows…..AND THEN to make it worse…knowing someone is threatening them, she sneaks off to follow and go protect Sebastian…again BITCH YOU ARE MOTHERFUCKING PREGNANT. This same person threatened you with a knife and you are going to go and put you and your baby in danger…I mean come on….I know you love your man but at this point the baby should be the priority over your man. Jesus help me, I have to stop ranting over Rosslyn or I will never stop because I haven’t even started on the fact that she ran back to him after the appalling way he treated her…and yea yea, he was keeping her safe but HOLY SHIT was he a fucking piece of shit….Anyway, I gotta stop….good read but hated the Heroine. I also apologize if i dont make sense...sometimes when I rant, that happens...lol.
Loving, Bold, and Beautiful
Great words to describe both Sebastian and Rosslyn, but there are so many more - Lunatic, Bad, Bullying, Logical, Brilliant, Brash... you get the idea! I loved Little Black Book, but this one was even better <3. There was passion and plot twists.  There were secrets and lies.  Between the love and deception there was a great story!  And now a bit about the story...
It has been two years since Rosslyn rescued Sebastian from his little black book.  They are in a great place until the letters start showing up.  Then there is the small lie about work.  When work and the letters start to threaten each they become antsy.  Can their passion burn away the threatening paper, or can a little scrap of white destroy their happiness?
Favorite passages:
- SEBASTIAN NEVER CEASED TO AMAZE ME. It didn’t matter what everyone else thought about him. It didn’t matter if everyone else thought he was about as snuggly as a cactus.
- By the time I got my hands on whoever was responsible, I’d be too angry to enjoy beating the life out of them.
- But I knew one thing … Sebastian could never know. Never.
- No, tell him I’m going to spend the day with a new boyfriend.” He didn’t need to know I was referring to a new book boyfriend.
- “Why did you leave the condo anyway? Didn’t Black tell you to stay put?” “Stay put? I’m not a dog.”
Review for Little Black Break by Tabatha Vargo & Someone Else
Little Black Break is the follow up to Little Black Book, you need to read the first book in order to fully enjoy the second. The storyline has several twists and turns keeping you hooked until the end.
I’m going to be completely honest, in book one I really couldn’t stand Sebastian — not even a little. While a lot of readers felt he redeemed himself, I was left with mixed feelings. Little Black Break gave me the redemption I was hoping for. Definitely gained respect for him in this book, even when I wanted to smack him. A cheetah can’t change its spots. I felt that he felt his actions were necessary and for what he perceived a good reason.
I loved Rosslyn in book one, but in this one she drove me insane. I felt like for every step forward Sebastian was taking to be better and do better she took a step backward. There were moments I was shaking my Kindle wanting to scream at her to stop what she was doing. Fictional characters can be so frustrating.
All in all, I enjoyed this book. Definitely glad to know what happened with Sebastian and Rosslyn beyond Little Black Book. If you’ve read book one, definitely want to read book two!
Three Stars.
“They call me the boogeyman, sweetheart, and I’m your worst nightmare.”
After book 1 I was, alright, this was a good read, but nothing prepared me for the story of book 2. This one blew me away.
She was my light. My love. My world. Without her , I’d cease to exist. Because of that, I had to cut all ties with her.
We go from a pretty full on alpha story with a happy touch to an intensely intriguing one that’ll make your heart go crazy and your mouth in full on shout modus.
Everything okay, Black?” I nodded, not being able to collect enough oxygen to speak. Once I found my voice, I said the only thing that came to my mind. “Find him. Bring him to me. End this.”
Ah ah ah... Nothing is what it seems and it goes to show that looks can be deceiving and nothing is what it looks like
Mysterious much? I know, trust me! Don’t think about it, just one click the book and enjoy the ride... Sebastian says! ;-)
