I just had puppies that we took in and helped to bottle feed. Needless to say they needed vaccines. I was a medical asst for yrs and have no problem with needles. So Getting the pups to not squirm was my only issue. Just stick some peanut butter on this and bam!! They are occupied and so happy to be smacking that peanut butter in their mouth that they were oblivious to me poking them quickly! Perfect distraction!!!
It holds up great and you can really slap anything on there that won’t just run right off of course. Stayed up until I took it down.

Easy to clean smaller lick mat set with bonus grooming brush
I bathe my little guy in our kitchen sink and I always have a lick mat with some peanut butter on the inside to start the grooming session on a positive note. He enters the sink voluntarily to enjoy his treat. With rainy, muddy weather came more frequent baths so I needed one more set of lick mats to have them in rotation. This Petmeow set has a blue and a yellow round lick mat plus a free grooming brush. The lick mats are a bit smaller than the four-section rectangular ones that we already have. A perfect size for our purpose, they may be too small if you want to engage a larger dog with lots of food for a long time. The yellow one in the photo appears tiny because of the angle; consider the size of a standard sink with a 14# dog. Suction power is perfect. I've found that because the little bones that make up the pattern are set a bit further apart, it is easier to wash up this lick mat even without a brush. It also went in the dishwasher ok. The bonus grooming mat adds value to the set. I've used it to gently massage my dog. I'm happy with this purchase.

I am fostering two crazy German Shepherd puppies who are getting over mange, which means two medicated baths per week. That is hard to do with two 6 month old GSDs. I got these to try to distract them and it really helps. It doesn't get their attention when I'm spraying water on them, but while the shampoo soaks (needs 10 minutes) they just chill in the tub and lick. In my 15 years of owning dogs of my own and 4 years of fostering, I can't believe I didn't try these sooner. The suction is super strong and can be tough to pull off, which isn't a bad thing, however, one of the puppies tried to pull it off and ripped a chunk out of it. My only complaint is that they leave a little peanut butter in there and it's hard for me to clean it out. I will be using these for all of our future fosters!
