About this ebook

*Book #2 in the Slater Brothers series.*

Keela Daley is the black sheep of her family. She has always come second to her younger cousin Micah. Even in the eyes of her mother, Micah shone bright, and Keela faded to black. Now, in adulthood, Micah is a bride-to-be and the spotlight is solely on her. Keela is a low priority...or so she thinks.

Alec Slater is a bachelor, never one to bed the same woman, or man, twice. He is a free agent who does what he pleases and answers to no one; that is until a fiery Irish redhead with a temper to match her hair colour knocks him on his arse. Literally.

She hates to admit it, but Keela needs a favour from the cocky Slater brother, a huge favour. She needs him to not only escort her to Micah's wedding, but to also pose as her boyfriend. Alec agrees to help Keela, but has certain conditions for her to abide by. He wants her body and plans to have it before anyone can say I do.

What he doesn't plan on is losing his heart as well as the possibility of losing his family when someone from his past threatens his future.

Alec owns Keela, and what Alec owns, Alec keeps.

ARC provided in exchange for honest review. For the love of Pete, why?!?! Even though this is a fictional story, quite a few characters from this book need to be on an episode of Jerry Springer. I loved the chemistry between Keela and Alec; actually, all of the Slater Brothers have great chemistry, regardless of who they are interacting with. Keela's family is the stuff that nightmares come from; although Alec's parents weren't any better; but at least he had his brothers with him growing up, poor Keela is an only child, and still not good enough in her own mother's eyes. I did enjoy watching the relationship develop between Alec and Keela.I really loved Dominic's story, and even the Bronagh novella (to an extent, but that's a review for another day). And trust me, I was all into Alec's story...all the way up to close to the end....when the pivotal scene happened. I'm sorry, it just pissed me off. But once the real truth came out, it was surprising the lengths people go through to achieve a particular goal. Even after all of that, Keela's mother still takes the prize for being the biggest douchetwat. So that's my review, without giving away too much. I really am looking forward to reading about the rest of the brothers, especially when we finally get to Damien's story.

The book is good but there are so many grammatical mistakes that it takes away from the fun of reading it.

Some witty dialogue, but overall a bit boring.
I couldn't believe in the characters, likable as they are.

I'm hooked! I love the characters and the conversations. Some of the sentences are just pure genius. I found myself smiling and laughing like an EEJIT with my tablet all by myself. A small 1/4 minus star for letting the main girl have such small confidence in her body, it literally turned me off and I'm a girl. But it was kind of weird that she seems to forget about it sometimes in the bedroom. Other than that nothing bothered me. I loved the whole playboy-falls-for-the-ordinary-girl concept.

Love it. It had me laughing and glued to it. Made me more of a fan to the Slater brothers and the girls. Can't wait to read about Kane and Aideen, Alanna and Damien and Ryder and Branna. Love them all. :) Even though there was a few wording mistakes. :) <3<3

The overall plot is good. Dialogue is a bit stilted.
