Madigan Mountain #3

A Little Too Wild

Rate this book
From Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Devney Perry comes a small town, sports romance.

Raven Darcy
Crew Madigan is a snowboarding legend. He’s gorgeous, rich, famous and every woman’s dream. Well, except mine. I’ll take a nerdy guy with a clumsy streak who wouldn’t know what to do with a pair of skis to save his life. Superstar athletes? No, thanks. World champions? Hard pass. Crew? Definitely not.

It’s been over a decade since Crew set foot on Madigan Mountain. Instead of sitting with his family during his brother’s wedding, he takes the chair beside mine. ESPN really doesn’t do that chiseled jaw justice. The cameras miss the flecks of gold in his eyes. When he invites me to his hotel room after the wedding, I break all of my own rules for just one night.

But here’s the problem with just one night. Crew is impossible to forget. And he’s not the only one who loves a thrill. The crash, the broken bones, are inevitable. Because together, we’re a little too wild.

I love Devney Perry and I was so excited when I heard she was writing a snowboarding romance. This book definitely had the winter atmosphere because the hero comes home to his family's resort for his brother's wedding. A lot of time is spent snowboarding on the mountain and trying out the new features his brother has added to their resort. Crew is avoiding his dad and any family talk because he hasn't been home since he was 18. While he's home, Crew runs into Raven, his best friend's sister, and is reminded of how much he liked her in high school. Raven is still mending a broken heart from an athlete and has sworn off dating athletes ever again. She has no interest in Crew, but things heat up between them at the wedding. What threw me off when this happened, though, was that this moment was pretty much fade to black and then the books skips ahead a week and we're told they've been hooking up. I hate when a ton of chemistry is built between our characters and then we aren't actually seeing that chemistry come to fruition as readers. Sure we get some actual steamy scenes later on in the book, but we missed that pivotal scene to establish their relationship. From then on, the pacing was a little off to me and I just missed the passion and connection these characters had. Because of this, I wasn't super invested in the romance. I did love how Raven was also a snowboarding and was contemplating chasing her dreams to be a professional snowboarder. But because this romance was so short, it just felt like the actual romance wasn't fleshed out and it was something I've seen done over and over again. The brother storyline felt predictable and not unique. While the setting and sports romance aspect was super fun to me, the rest of the romance ended up falling flat.

A Little Too Wild is another Madigan brother book, but this one is about the youngest brother who happens to be a professional athlete, Crew.

Crew hasn’t been home in over a decade. A loss kept him away but one of his brother’s getting married brings him back. He’s not feeling sitting with his family, so he decides to sit with an old friend and his sister, Raven. Raven who he had a crush on when he was younger.

Crew and Raven get together even knowing that his time there is temporary, but Crew just can’t seem to stay away from her. There is a lot of sneaking around because they don’t want anyone to know, but it wasn’t for any nefarious reasons. I loved this couple together. They had a lot of chemistry and the ending was the sweetest. I always love Devney Perry’s writing and this was no exception.

If it’s a book by Devney Perry I will be reading and obsessing over it of course. Crew is a professional snowboarder that left his hometown behind escaping his alcoholic father leaving all the pain this town brought him. Until he had to come back for his brother weeding. While at the wedding he sees the girl he had the biggest crush on during his teenage years but she happens to be his best friend little sister… Now Raven is all grown up but has sworn off any athletes.

These two had SO MUCH chemistry and the way Raven kept giving Crew attitude is iconic honestly. The banter between these two was everything I had such an amazing time reading this sports romance and the fact that they both athletes made it even more fun. Raven and Crew were truly meant to be and I love seeing them build a friendship even though it was only suppose to be a hook up. Seeing Crew constantly supporting Raven dreams is so heartwarming another iconic book boyfriend. Devney always give us the best epilogues that make our hearts feel so full! Definitely recommend reading this as always I could not put it down and finished in one sitting.

4 'All or nothing' Stars!
ARC provided via Valentine PR in exchange for an honest review.

This series has gone by too fast! I have to say, just like the previous time these three authors teamed up, Sarina Bowen, Rebecca Yarros and Devney Perry have given us a beautiful mountain-themed collaboration. And the last installment is no exception. I was so curious to know more about the famous sportsman in the Madigan family and his long-time connection with his best friend’s sister. Of course, Devney did not disappoint us and she wrote a wondrous end to this series.

So, A Little Too Wild is the third and final installment in the Madigan Mountain series and it focuses on the younger Madigan brother (Crew), his famous career as a snowboarder and his return to the place he never wanted to go back to. Just like Reed and Weston, Crew has so many memories in Madigan Mountain and he is not into the idea of staying there for a while. All that changes after a passionate night with Raven Darcy, the woman he had a crush on when he was younger, his BFF’s sister and also the woman who is decided to keep it in the “just sex” zone with him. But is it really just that? Or is love growing strong between these two?

Crew was a thrill, and I was a woman who loved an adrenaline rush. But there was no way this wouldn’t end in a crash.

As with the other two novels in the series, I have to say I really enjoyed reading this love story and get to enter more into the world these three authors have created. I loved everything about Madigan Mountain and Crew and Raven’s book is an amazing addition to the other two. Their chemistry is burning hawt from the very first moment and it’s so clear it’s impossible for either of them to ignore the feelings that start to show up. I do have to say, Weston’s story is my favorite of the three, but all the installments are such treats! I loved this crew, their interactions, the love stories and the familiarity. In the end, everyone got their happy ending and that always makes me a happy girl!

“Yes, you’re an escape. You’re also an addiction. A refuge. An adventure. This —us— is not me escaping a reality I don’t want to face. This is me coming to you because it’s the only place I want to be.”

Therefore, I am rating A Little Too Wild with 4 STARS because it definitely was a beautiful ending to the Madigan Mountain series. Crew and Raven gave us a lot of heat and heart and all that mixed with a whole other array of emotions between families, yes, I’ll say I really enjoyed the ride! Also, Devney always gives us the best endings (be aware, there is a bonus epilogue!) and that made me even more happy for this wonderful crew of characters. Guys, don’t miss this series!

In this collaborative three-author series, the third book is written by Devney Perry. Along the way in her writing career, I seem to have developed a hot/cold relationship with Perry’s books – but this was an instant straight-out-of-the-gate hit for me. Winter sports and romance go together high on Madigan Mountain making for a fun read with such an entertaining and interesting group of characters. And oh how I’ve always had my own love affair with the beauty of those Colorado mountains -- which made my happy dance even happier!

Crew Madigan, an Olympic winning snowboarder, and Raven Darcy, who works for Crew’s family ski resort, share a friends-to-lovers/BFF’s younger sister romance. Her brother, River is a very unlikable and jealous pothead who creates some challenges for Raven and Crew. There’s also family drama in Crew’s own family that has kept him away from Madigan Mountain for twelve years -- only to return for his older brother’s wedding with plans to make a speedy get-away immediately after -- until he sees the dark-haired beauty dressed in red that he secretly crushed on in high school.

Perry kept this fast-paced and well-developed, filled with excitement and the perfect amount of steamy and sizzling romance. Characters you'll love easily and cheer on with great enthusiasm.

A good wrap-up with a lengthy Epilogue at five years forward and then a Bonus Scene at ten years forward that was a nice nod to the snowboarding legend and his Madigan Mountain family in a wonderful and complete happily-ever-after.

This book started off really good but then it just sort of died and I just wanted it to end. The romance wasn't anything special and there wasn’t any sparks there. Disappointed ☹️

“I like this. You at my mercy.”
“Raven, if you think I haven’t been at your mercy from the beginning, then you haven’t been paying attention.”

A Little Too Wild is the third book in the Madigan Mountain series and this is the finale in the trilogy of the Madigan family. And we finally got the superstar of the brother, and young and the most elusive of the brothers. This is the brother that I have been the most excited for, mostly due to the fact that he has the most mystery surrounding him. I will be honest while I enjoyed the first two books this trilogy didn't impress me too much, and I had some lower expectations when I went into this one, but I am telling you I don't know why the narration for this one felt different, but this book completely won my heart! I was instantly drawn into this story, and honestly, as much as I love audiobooks, this was the type of audiobook that I wanted to put everything aside to just listen to it. I breezed so quickly through this one because I just couldn't put this one down.

A Little Too Wild begins with Crew Madigan who is a snowboarding legend and Olympian, he comes back to his hometown, when his brother gets married. Its a trip he is dreading and only planning on one day of it and then returning back to his life in Park City Utah. But what he doesn't count on is meeting his old high school crush, Raven, who also happens to be his best friend's sister. They both decide to take action on their instant attraction and have a one night stand together, and the passion between them ignites. But through a course of events, Crew ends up coming back to Madigan Mountain, and the biggest draw is Raven and a connection to her he can't seem to push aside. As Raven and Crew learn to swim the tide of their relationship together, they will need to decide if their relationship is worth fighting for...

Yes, you’re an escape. You’re also an addiction. A refuge. An adventure. This – us – is not me escaping a reality I don’t want to face. This is me coming to you because it’s the only place I want to be.

There was so many aspects to this story that I truly enjoyed. I had so much fun with these two connecting and seeing them decide to take each other on. There is a mix of tropes in this book and I had so much fun with the winter themes. There is such an atmospheric vibe to the story that is stronger than the first two books combined for me. Even though I am a straigh skiier, I really loved the "Snowboarding" culture that we see and seeing how well these two are matched. The way that Crew encourages Raven in her talent even if she is in her thirties, he wants her to embrace her abilities. I absolutely adored the way in which he ends up fighting for their relationship. I also liked seeing Crew reconnect with his brothers and have some reconciliation with his father, which is much needed. I did enjoy that aspect much more than book two and just felt more satisfying.

Overall I found A Little Too Wild to be a delightful story that was so endearing, heartwarming in every chapter, plenty of spice and will deliver on the feels! A SATISFYING FRESH POWDER PACKED ROMANCE!

A Little Too Wild by Devney Perry was an emotional and heartfelt best friend’s little sister romance that snowboarded away with my heart! I have loved each and every Madigan brother, but Crew might just be my absolute favorite! Crew and Raven’s romance was the perfect ending to an amazing series that gave me several blushes (grab a fan), left the biggest grin on my face, and had me happy sighing that everyone finally found their very own HEA.

Vanessa Edwin and Jason Clarke narrate this audiobook, and I love it when these two are paired together. Vanessa’s voice is always a sweet, decadent treat! She portrayed Raven’s passions, hesitancies, and determination as she put aside her fears and finally went after what she truly desired in life: snowboarding and Crew! Jason Clarke narrating a pro snowboarder was a first for me, and he was spot-on portraying Crew’s broody yet charismatic persona in a husky tone that is earbud-melting worthy! Both narrators brought the heat capturing the forbidden, magnetic chemistry between Crew and Raven!

Overall, I LOVED this book! If you are a fan of best friend’s little sister romance with a hunky professional snowboarder, an ambitious fierce heroine who also snowboards, reconnecting with family, overcoming the past, Madigan Mountain Ski Resort, snowboarding competitions, ski lift mishaps, secret steamy times, halfpipe dreams, a jealous older brother, and a HEA delivers big air in your heart, then you will love Crew and Raven’s story! I always look forward to more from Devney Perry!

A Little Too Wild by Devney is the final book in the Madigan Mountain series. In all honesty, there was nothing particularly wowing about this story. No over the top plot devices or secrets revealed, but that didn’t matter. I just plain old loved it. Picking up a Devney Perry book and curling up in my comfy chair is a great day for me, so that’s essentially why this is a 5 star book — it took my mind off my day and made me feel good. That’s exactly what I needed at the time.

What you get (my version of the tropes 😝):
Family healing
Let’s keep this a secret
Brothers best friends
Sportsesque romance
Great epilogue
Fantastic MMC. Crew just really hit my sweet spot.

Said plainly, I adored it. If you’re in the mood for a low angst, feel good romance grabby hands! It was a fun ride! This entire series has been a treat!

Audiobook notes - great narration and performance. 💙

What a quick amazing read! This one had me hooked from the get go!

Raven was amazing, Crew is some book boyfriend material and their chemistry was *chef’s kiss*

I loved that Raven was also an athlete! I loved the few things in there that had you sitting on the edge of your seat! It was just all so fantastic! I loved every second of this one. And that extra epilogue 😭 so beautiful! Perfect ending.

This whole series has just been so great!! Highly recommend!!!

I have simply adored this series! The Madigan Mountain world has been full of heart, heat, and beautifully soulful stories that just captured my entire heart. Sarina Bowen, Rebecca Yarros, and Devney Perry are such a dream team, and it’s bittersweet to already be at the end of the stories about the Madigan family, but I was so excited to the baby Madigan brother’s story- snowboarder, best friend’s sister, and the heartfelt tenderness that only Devney Perry can bring?! I knew this one would be a treat.

A Little Too Wild gives us Crew’s love story as he returns home to Madigan Mountain with no intention of lingering there for long. But thanks to a sexy moment with Raven, his best friend’s sister and the woman he had a crush on when they were younger, he’s second guessing his plans. Only in a delightful trope-flip Raven is not looking for anything more than bedroom fun- she’s got him firmly in the friends with benefits zone. But their connection is palpable- so how long can they deny their bigger than sex pull to one another?

Like the others in the series, this is a great combination of feels and fun. I loved the fire between these two- an arrogant athlete and a sassy heroine make for a lot of delightful tension and steamy chemistry. I love when a hero really has to earn the heroine’s heart, and Crew has to work for Raven. Of course, their story is bigger than both of them. Both have a lot of family history that weighs heavy on them. Crew’s baggage in particular really tugs on the heartstrings, but I loved how Devney weaves in the other characters- we get a lot of family interactions and meaningful moments that not only add to Crew and Raven’s story but bring some really well-done closure to the entire series. The family, the setting, the romances have all been so beautiful interwoven, and I’m sad to see the end to the Madigan Mountain world, but what a lovable collaboration it has been. Looking forward to what this trio cooks up for future collaborations- it’s always a treat!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

A Little Too Wild is the third and final installment in the Madigan Mountain series. I enjoyed A Little too Late and A Little too Close and looked forward to diving into A Little too Wild. In her contribution to the series, Perry delivered an entertaining small town sports romance, which held the reader captive from start to finish.

A Little too Wild gives us Crew, the youngest of the Madigan brothers, story. Like his brothers, before him, he left home to escape the emotional upheaval caused by the death of his mom. During his time away from home, he made a name for himself in the sport of snowboarding. Twelve years later, he is a legend in the sport. He had no plans to return home, however with Reed’s upcoming nuptials he has no choice but to return to the place which held the painful memories he tried to escape. He plans to attend the wedding and leave the following day, but fate in had other plans. Now he has no choice but to face the demons of his past. While facing those demons, love unexpectedly came knocking.

Raven is a ski instructor and the youngest sister of Crew’s high school best friend. Crew had a crush on her, but she saw him only as her brother’s friend. Laying eyes on her at his brother’s wedding brought old feelings to the surface. Raven has no interest in getting involved with an athlete after having her heart broken by one in the past. Then she laid eyes on Crew and sparks flew and after a night of passion, letting go will prove harder than they expected.

Crew and Raven together were a force to be reckoned with. The chemistry they shared went beyond the bedroom. So when they are not setting the sheets on fire, they are burning up the slopes. They inspired each other and their connection was tangible. I loved them as a couple and wanted them to work out their issues as they tried navigating the rocky roads of their journey.

Raven was a wonderful heroine. Independent, driven, sassy and talented. Now, while she displayed a level of confidence, there were moments when her insecurities reared its head. When this happens, she doubts her abilities and loses confidence in the sustainability of her relationship with Crew. During these moments, her actions were annoying and bordered on immature. Crew oozes charm and confidence. It’s no wonder women were throwing themselves at him. He may have had lots of women in the past, but now he only has eyes for one woman. Beneath the charm and confidence lay a lost and hurting soul.

Like the previous books, A Little too Wild highlighted healing and forgiveness. It was a delight seeing Crew accepting the olive branch offered by his dad. The first step towards the repairing of a relationship which broke down after the death of his mother.

Although I enjoyed the development of Crew and Raven’s romance, the manner it which it culminated left me feeling disappointed. Fortunately, the epilogue delivered some redeeming moments. It was also fun catching up with his siblings and their family.

Madigan Mountain is a wonderful series and A Little Too Wild was the perfect conclusion. It’s sad saying goodbye to these characters, but it was a wonderful journey! If you love contemporary romance which features second chance, close proximity and brother’s best friend trope, then this series is a must-read!

Ok I cried about having to wait ten days for this book, and yes it was worth the wait but seriously by the time I could read this book all my kids became needy little jerks. It took me so long to read this book and all I wanted to do was hide away and not adult while I read it.

Crew was a bit of a wild card because all we really knew about him was that he had me desire to return to Madigan Mountain but he was doing so for his brother's wedding. And Raven we kind of knew as a background character and little else.

But once I got to know a little more about them both I really liked them. They were both nursing some old wounds and not wanting to get hurt. And they both couldn't deny the chemistry between them. Together they were so awesome and I couldn't get enough of them. Crew's support and gentle pushing of Raven was so sincere and it just made him that much better.

I absolutely adored the bonus epilogue and I'm so sad to leave the mountain. This has been another perfect collaboration between three truly amazing authors. And whether you read one of these books or all of them you are getting nothing but gold.

Crew is a wild, fun, intelligent snowboarding legend and the youngest of the Madigan brothers.
The Madigan family owns a beautiful, quaint ski resort in Colorado that Crew has avoided for 12 years.
The loss of his mother at a young age and his father’s emotional abandonment and neglect have left their emotional scars on him.
He returns for his oldest brothers wedding and it’s begins quite the emotional journey for him.
And also a super explosive, secret hot fling with his high school best friend’s younger sister, Raven.
Raven works at the ski resort and she’s a talented snowboarder as well. She’s avoided the spotlight and putting herself “out there” for competitions though. She has similar issues with her father that Crew does. I think this is a part of their connection and bond they share.
I do love forbidden romance so much. The sneaking around, the tension of being “caught” is my catnip. I love it!
It’s a very sexy, smoking hot and slightly angsty romance.
Their chemistry is scorching hot and unavoidable.
Their feelings are both conflicted, though. Both have ideas of where they should be at in their personal and professional lives and a relationship between them doesn’t seem to fit for them.
The way the two characters understand each other and give each other what they need emotionally is really beautiful and made for a heartfelt, satisfying romance.
Both begin to change and grow as a result of their relationship and emotional connection. I love the character growth and the change of perspective that results for them.
The snowboarding aspect was very fun for me. It described enough that I could picture it without it being overwhelming or “too much”. It’s a really entertaining, fun part of the story.
The secondary characters are mostly from the previous books in the series, I loved seeing where they were at in their lives. It was like visiting old friends.
I loved this story and the characters so much.
Sarina Bowen and Rebecca Yarros wrote the first 2 books in this interconnected trilogy.
I highly recommend all 3 books.
All the characters have great stories, I love this series. #MadiganMountainSeries

A Little Too Wild is the third book of the Madigan Mountain series. There are three brothers Reed, Weston, and Crew. This one is about the youngest Madigan, snowboarder extraordinaire and Raven, his best friend’s sister. Raven is happily running the ski school at Crew’s family ski resort. She has been burned in the past too many times to count so Raven has sworn off athlete for good. Crew has traveled all over competing. He has no interest in small town America anymore. The only reason he came back to his home town is to attend big brother’s wedding. Crew has big dream for x games and Olympics and cannot wait to get the hell out. The night of big brother wedding he saw Raven who is his best friend’s little sis. To Crew’s surprise, Raven is all grown up into a gorgeous woman. Sparks fly, sexual chemistry brewing … the two decided it was a good idea to have a one-night stand with no strings attached. I mean what is the harm, right? Crew is leaving the next day and problem disappear for the next decade. Well, their plan backfired … one night turned to weeks and before they know it someone caught the love bug :)
I love these two. They are both athletes, wild, fun, hardworking and driven. I like that they are easygoing, honest, no drama. Awesome banters and sizzling chemistry between them. I love the scenery of snow capped mountain and all the snowboarding time they spent together. I live near a ski resort and this remind me so much of my home town. It was good to see the relationship between the three brothers blossomed after so many years apart. I appreciate that dad was trying hard to redeem himself and right past wrongs. All the secondary characters added something special to the story. This was an adorable friends with benefits, sport, forbidden romance. I love anything Devney Perry and this was no different. Beautifully written. An awesome addition to Medigan Mountain trilogy.

"I like this. You at my mercy."

"Raven, if you think I haven't been at your mercy from the beginning, then you haven't been paying attention."

What You'll Find:
✔️Sports Romance
✔️Brother's Bestfriend
✔️No Strings Secret Fling
✔️Smalltown
✔️Dual POV

Crew is a snowboarding legend who hasn't been back to his hometown of Madigan Mountain in years, since his mother's death. But his brother is getting married. So he's determined to get in and out of there quickly. That is, until he runs into his bestfriends sister Raven. Who's all grown up, and irresistible. What is supposed to be one night, turns into a secret fling. But their time is limited because he has no plans to stay, and she has no plans to leave.

I really enjoyed this story. So well rounded with its emotion, heart, swoon and sizzling steam. Crew and Raven have this undeniable connection that is impossible to ignore. And naturally, it gets all muddled once it heats up. But I loved the journey they took to get there. I rooted for them. Though, I especially loved the way they rooted for each other.

I love the setting created in this series. SO picturesque. And fun. It felt like a movie playing out in my mind. This is the final book in the series but can be read as a standalone. And I loved the way the author piqued my interest in reading the other brother's stories too! So well done! Definitely check it out!

4.5 stars!

The third and final book in the Madigan Mountain series, Devney Perry has brought it home strong with this fantastically entertaining, passionate and romantic story that combines brother’s-best-friend, it-started-with-a-hookup, small-town and sports romance. I adored these characters, I loved their story, and this book had me hooked from start to finish. I loved it!

Crew is the youngest of the Madigan brothers, and like Reed and Weston before him, he left town as soon as he could to escape his alcoholic father and the ruins of his family left by his mother’s death. Crew is now an elite athlete and famous snowboarder, and it’s been 12 years since he’s been left the family’s small ski resort in Colorado, but his brothers have returned and are building it into something big. Now, he’s returning for a family wedding, and plans to get out of there as quickly as he can.

Raven runs the ski school at Madigan Mountain, and is a part of the girl-group of the resort (and the series). She’s also the younger sister of Crew’s best friend and grew up with him as a part of her life, but she didn’t think of him much then, and she hasn’t really thought of him in the years he’s been gone. She doesn’t have much time for him at all really. But she doesn’t know that Crew had a crush on her when they were teenagers, but he had promised her brother that he would never make a move. Now that they’re adults, all it takes is one glance and Crew is smitten once again. And his irresistible charm soon seduces Raven into a one-night only hook-up that rocks both of their worlds.

Crew’s plans to leave town are temporarily thwarted by his tenacious brothers who want him home and working in the family business with them. And suddenly a temporary stay in town doesn’t seem so bad, because while he’s there, he and Raven can’t stay away from each other. They both know it’s short-term and doesn’t mean anything, but it’s still more than either of them anticipated.

“I like this. You at my mercy.”
“Raven, if you think I haven’t been at your mercy from the beginning, then you haven’t been paying attention.”

OMG, the chemistry between these two is insane! I could feel the attraction, the sex is seriously steamy, and their fun and easy way with each other is so entertaining. They’re both so mature about it all, accepting the connection between them but acknowledging that their lives are in completely different places and that they want different things. It’s honest and functional, and I love watching things change.

This wasn’t a casual hookup. Not anymore. This went way beyond sex.
There’d be no goodbye, not this time.
What were we doing?

There’s a bit of back and forth, but it’s sensible to their situation, and with Crew doing the pushing, I loved watching the once-womaniser fall so hard.

Yep. I loved her.
My whole life was about to change, wasn’t it?

In the background, we’ve got all of the action of extreme winter sports, Crew is gearing up for the upcoming snowboarding season, Raven is wrestling with decisions about her future dreams, they both have family issues to deal with, and the resort is opening up for the winter season. All of the different elements come together for a fun yet heartfelt story with a lot of depth, and I loved being in this world with them both.

And all the while, Crew and Raven are easily and unexpectedly falling in love, and it’s so beautiful watching it happen. Of course they are hot together, but the emotional part of their story is just as gorgeous, and I was in a world of swoon as it all unfolded beautifully.

“Yes, you’re an escape. You’re also an addiction. A refuge. An adventure. This – us – is not me escaping a reality I don’t want to face. This is me coming to you because it’s the only place I want to be.”

I love these characters so much! Raven is a strong and determined badass who is happy with her life, and who won’t let anybody walk all over her. And Crew is such a cocky charmer, but he has a lot of pain from his past, and a sweet vulnerability that makes you just want to hug him. There are big changes coming for these two, and I love watching them react and deal with it, and support each other through it all. They’re a bit of a powerhouse couple, and I love that about them.

This has been such a great series. The trio of Sarina Bowen, Rebecca Yarros and Devney Perry have created two fantastic series for us now, and I hope they continue writing together.

Loved this story – 4.5 stars

LOVED. LOVED. Loved this book.

What I enjoyed:
1. Female and Male snowboarding couple.
2. The hero was so great. I loved how supportive and caring he was with the FMC, and how he worked through his issues with his dad.
3. Loved Raven. She was relatable and lovable heroine. I love that she took her shot.
4. It had a bit everything - comedy, slight suspense, steam, romance, family reconciliation.
5. The epilogue was chef’s kiss.

This has been my favorite in the series, so far. Yes, I read out of order. Don’t yell at me.

Im addicted to Devney's words!! Her books hook the reader from the first page till the last and her stories are always so engaging.
A little too wild was no different. I loved the premise, the story, the characters and most importantly Crew. I could just feel Crews emotions and pain and when they changed as soon as he met Raven. All the words and feels were so palpable that I just couldn't help but get invested in the story. I loved Raven too and how she threw attitude towards Crew. It was damn hilarious.
It a must read it you love friends with benefits trope, sports romance, some family drama and lots of sizzling chemistry.
Its a three book series about three Madigan brothers written by three authors. Must check it out.

I really love this author (she is a prolific writer, and her books are usually always fun and entertaining reads) and I also really do love a free book offering, so thank you Devney Perry for this one.

This was another quick read, I liked both Raven and Crew but for some reason this book wasn't much of a standout for me. I think it was probably the romance itself, the book had some low angst drama, a little dysfunctional family dynamic and a snowy country setting.
That's why the 3 star rating whereas Devney Perry usually tends to rate a 4 or higher from me.

A Little Too Wild is the third book in the Madigan Mountain collab series! I loved the Hush Note series that Sarina Bowen, Devney Perry, and Rebecca Yarros collaborated on and was excited for this new series. There are 3 standalone books in the Madigan Mountain series, each following 3 brothers as they return to their family’s ski resort in Colorado. I have read all 3 in the series and while they can be read on their own, I think they’re better and stronger if you’ve read them all in order.

Crew Madigan hasn’t been home for 12 years when the story starts. Like his 2 older brothers he also let home as soon as he could. For Crew that happened to be when he was 18-years old and he’s gone on to become a snowboarding legend, world champion, and even an Olympian. But now he’s back home after getting a call from his brothers in the previous book to return for one of their weddings. While at his brother’s wedding, Crew is having all the feelings about being back at their family’s ski resort, and decides he doesn’t want to spend the night alone. His best friend’s sister, Raven is also at the wedding and Crew invites her up to his room. They end up hooking up and definitely share a lot of history since they’ve known one another since childhood. Raven works at the ski school at the resort and they turn it into a friends with benefits/casual fling situation while Crew is in town.

I love Devney Perry books, I’ve read all but a couple of her holiday novellas now, and this book just felt like it was missing some of the charm and “oomph” that her books usually deliver on. I read all 3 books in the Madigan Mountain series and this sadly wasn’t my favorite (my fav goes to the Rebecca Yarros one, delivers more on the romance and has the most skiing action in the series). I did like that Crew was the one with the crush on Raven first. He actually liked Raven in highschool and assumed she always knew he crushed on her, but she was oblivious about it. It’s always refreshing when the hero pines instead of the heroine! This one was okay, the romance wasn’t anything special, we see the hero’s brothers wanting him to stay and work at the resort with them, it wraps up pretty easily, epilogue was sweet. Like it was just fine.

A surprisingly disappointing read. I was so excited for the final instalment to the Madigan Mountain series, with the successes I had with A Little Too Late and A Little Too Close (with the latter being my favourite from the series). There was little development in the relationship between Crew and Raven, notwithstanding the fact that they were childhood friends. So much more could have been done with their history, but unfortunately, most of their "relationship" was built on their sexual chemistry, which wasn't even that convincing or hot.

This might be a little harsh but the epilogues were a cop-out to having to convince us that the couple have reached their HEA. The choice of the third-act conflict and how things wrapped up felt rather lazy. Not one of Devney Perry's better works, unfortunately (I much preferred her story in the Hush Note series, Rifts & Refrains)

Overall, I'd recommend A Little Too Close followed by A Little Too Late. This story lacked the substance to be a successful standalone. However, if you're a completionist, this book might be worth your time.

'Adrenaline junkie. Crew junkie. Same thing.’

A Little too Wild by Devney Perry is the third and final book about the Madigan brothers and what a wonderful journey this has been with, Reed from A Little too Late, Weston from A Little too Close and now Crew from A Little too Wild. We’ve loved every single book, enjoyed a variety of heroes and heroines and had three exciting love stories which completely stole our hearts. Such a fabulous treat for any book lover and we highly recommend adding the Madigan Mountain series to your reading list. The setting has been so idyllic and vividly written about, we could hear the snow crunch under our boots, we could smell the scent of pine and clean frost in the air. We saw the sun rays bounce off the snow and light up the snow-capped mountains. We felt the love in the air and we’ve now both decided to look for winter holidays to Colorado! This series can be read as standalones, however we highly recommend reading the entire series, not only because of the interconnected storylines, characters, and background but because every book is just that good!

“What do you taste like?” The words escaped before I could stop them.
“Careful, Raven,” he murmured. “I just might let you find out.”

It’s been twelve years since Crew Madigan, the youngest brother, stepped foot in the smalltown of Penny Ridge where he grew up, and he’s not relishing the thought of going back home for Reed’s wedding, returning with much trepidation and the intention of making a quick getaway. That is until he bumps into the little sister of his best mate, Raven. Crew had a close bond with her family in his teens after the sudden death of his beloved mum, with whom he was lovingly close to, which sadly caused a fractious and somewhat desperate home life with their dad and resulted in the three brothers staying away for a little over a decade. Raven is a beautiful, independent, and brilliant snowboarder who works as a ski instructor at his family resort, she too carries a lot of emotional baggage. The two of them suddenly find themselves as friends with hot explosive benefits repeating the ‘one night only.’ Reed and West have accomplished amazing improvements to the family ski resort, alongside their better halves, but they now need Crew’s famous and legendary snowboarding expertise to complete the new ‘face’ of the Madigan Mountain Resort. ‘One night only’ now suddenly turns into more nights for Crew, in more ways than one!

“I like this. You at my mercy.”
“Raven, if you think I haven’t been at your mercy from the beginning, then you haven’t been paying attention.”

The chemistry between Crew and Raven was scorching. But not only that, both are thrill seekers who inspired each other tremendously and had a tangible emotional affinity to one another. We loved their love story. We loved being back with Reed & Ava and Weston and Callie from the previous two books, having become so fond of each and every one of them as well as all the other characters. It was a beautiful journey, one which we relished, alongside each brother as they worked through their problematic relationships, especially with their dad, resolving their issues and finding peace. Finding their happy place, finding love.

“What do you want?”
“All or nothing.”

A rather typical read from this author, family drama, a lack of communication and lack lustre sex 🤷🏽‍♀️. The relationship went from sex only, a short separation then together🤷🏽‍♀️ eh it wasn't terrible.... That's all I've got 😂

No cheating
Very very slight ow drama

Honestly, Devney can tackle any genre and I’d eat it up like the biggest slice of chocolate cake and enjoy every morsel. If Devney Perry writes it I will read it, period.

It’s no surprise that for Devney’s first time writing a sports romance that I absolutely loved it. I was hooked right from the start and it just got better and better as I read. I loved the setting, the characters, and I just devoured this story.

I absolutely adored Raven and Crew. Their chemistry was off-the-charts. They were so good together and they had this easygoing nature that was effortless. I loved how supportive Crew was of Raven and how he encouraged her and was there for her every step of the way.

A Little Too Wild is the final book in Madigan Series that follows the three Madigan brothers. Crew and Raven’s story was one filled with swoony and heartwarming moments. And those epilogues were the icing on the cake, absolute *chef’s kiss*

*I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book*

5 SMOOCHES!

Off-the-charts chemistry, a thrilling rush of adrenaline and an engaging plot herald Devney Perry’s offering the small mountain town, three-author collaboration Madigan Mountain Series. A Little Too Wild is Crew and Raven’s story, and this is an exciting, emotional brother’s best friend sports romance. Crew is a professional snowboarder with his sights set on the X Games and the Olympics. Raven is a snowboarder, too, and she’s running the ski school at his brother’s resort, Penny Ridge. It’s been a long time since Crew was last home, and when he runs into his best friend’s sister, Raven, the heat blazing between them is enough to melt the snow surrounding them. Their no-strings-attached, one night stand quickly turns into a secret fling, and it isn’t long before real feelings are involved.

A Little Too Wild was set against a picturesque backdrop that Perry described vividly. Crew and Raven are both laidback, hardworking thrill-seekers making them an ideal match. Brilliant banter and tons of chemistry made for a page-turning love story as exhilarating as the first run down a mountain packed with fresh snow. Five smooches from me for A Little Too Wild by Devney Perry!

this is a super cute fall/winter read that's part of a 3 book series of standalones following the madigan brothers.

this is crew's book and crew is a pro-snowboarder who's been avoiding his small town and family's mountain after his mom passed away. he's back in town for his brother's wedding and when his best friend's little sister who he always crushed on is there and looking better than ever, well, he's incentivized to stay a little longer.

except, said little sister has sworn off athletes and there are many obstacles standing in there way. still, they can't deny their chemistry.

i loved this one and highly recommend, especially for a snowy day. brother's best friend, boy obsessed, pining, dirty talk, small town goodness. devney never does me wrong.
