The convenience factor is a major plus. It's like having a reliable assistant for those DIY projects. Need to inflate some tires, drive in some nails, or power up pneumatic tools? This compressor has got you covered, and it's as easy as pie to use.
The lightweight design is a real back-saver. No more lugging around heavy equipment. It's like having the power you need without the extra weight. I can carry it from room to room, and it's ready to go whenever I am.
But don't be fooled by its size; this little guy is powerful. It's like the David that can take on Goliath. Whether I'm using it for airbrushing or running my nail gun, it delivers consistent and reliable performance. It's a workhorse in a compact package.
In conclusion, the Bostitch BTFP02012 6 Gallon Pancake Compressor has made small tasks around the house a breeze. It's convenient, lightweight, and packs a punch. If you're looking for a compressor that's dependable and versatile, this one is a winner. It's like having a trusty sidekick for your DIY adventures, and it's become an essential tool for me. 🛠️💨🏡
I would recommend to anyone.
I use the compressor frequently, to supply air sprayers for stain or paint for projects, occassionally with a brad/finish nailer, but most freqently to fill vehicle tires; as the wife and I commute a lot, I do oil changes every few weeks with tire pressure checked and filled. This machine has had zero issues with any tasks I've thrown at it, and I've now had it for almost 2 years with regular useage, not a single failure.
The only other minor complaint beyond the noise is it can "dance" a little if placed on certain smooth floors or inclines, but I'd imagine many pancakes could do the same. But I've done no maintenance and regular usage and it's never failed me, if it breaks I'd gladly purchase again.
Second, and also welcome, the tank holds a charge. If the compressor kicks on and fills the tank while I'm topping off a tire, and then I turn it off and close the exit valve (counterclockwise, of course), I can come back a week later and the pressure in the tank is still where I left it, and unless a tire is fair empty, the 6-gallons is enough to top off a car tire with 10-15 pounds without even plugging in the Bostitch. Nice!
Third, if you've used an oil-cooled compressor in cold weather (Great Lakes winter here), to have this machine just start up and run instantly in any weather is such a wonder. Damn oil-cooled compressors hate to start up properly in the winter, just when you need it for some plowing with the tractor that's been sitting for a few months since the autumn. This just works.
Finally, I haven't used it with a nail gun or spray painting or anything like that, so I can't review that, but it's been a welcome new tool in the garage for everything else.
