I enjoyed how quick it was to get started with the Luna App! There is some internet connection issues during use. Controller is excellent quality and feels great when playing.
It is really easy to use, the game streaming is really good as long as you have a 5 ghz WiFi connection. I didn’t notice any lag while playing. The controller was really nice, pretty well made and comfortable to hold.
This controller is great. I use it for Luna streaming and PC games. I thought it would be hard to adjust to after using a PS5 Dualsense controller. Its been no issue at all. I still go back and forth between these two controllers. This one is definitely the best controller for Luna streaming because I don't have to leave my phone screen on the whole time, like I do with my PS5 controller. I wish this was a rechargeable controller. It burns through AA batteries fast. If you have or get rechargeable batteries for it, it really becomes a non issue. It is definitely worth the price and I do recommend it. It is comfortable even after a 10 hr game play session.
Because I've had so many mainstream controllers develop stick drift (Dual Shocks especially) I thought I'd pick this one on sale since despite its bizarre branding and even-more-bizarre lack of rechargeable battery, I didn't care about tilt and was planning on using it as a wired USB C controller anyway. And somehow it has become my go-to steam controller and hasn't let me down in a year of heavy use. And it has delivered surprisingly well. It's built up to the quality standard of flagship controllers and so far (1 year, moderate-to-heavy use) shows no sign of wear. That said, I can't possibly rate it higher (4/5 is, honestly, generous) since it's such a bizarre product that was probably engineered at quite an expense only to end up being useful only for an unintended purpose (I mean who wants a controller with no batteries to play cloud games on Luna?).
+ Surprisingly great build quality + Feels great in the hand + On sale at $40 if you use it as a wired controller on Steam it's quite good value.
- No tilt, no built in battery - Wifi stuff seems like a gimmick and a confusing one at that. If it isn't straight snake-oil, then it's probably just overengineered waste of PCB. The weight it contributes feels nice in the hand, though. - I haven't searched for guides, but looking at it, I see zero indication of how to open it up for repair
Also, side note: works great with Luna? How about you make it work great with your Amazon Games launcher. Amazon gives away tons of interesting games for free to prime members, but it's completely useless because they have abysmal controller support and half the time I jump in and find Up mapped to Left. You don't have the money to invest into supporting every controller that exists, Steam Input style, fine. But you can't even get your own controller to work?
The controller is well made and solid. It includes haptic feedback so it has that vibration if you're into that. It is very responsive over Bluetooth and has been working well for the two hours it has been in service. I spent an entire day fighting with Bluetooth on a ubuntu based HTPC connected to our main television because my wife wanted to sit in a comfy chair and play Hogwarts Academy. I spent ten hours pairing Bluetooth controllers including two generic Bluetooth controllers, a Hyper X Clutch, and a Microsoft Xbox controller I ordered just for this purpose as the others were failing to function. The generic controllers and the Hyper X would connect and enable all the controls when tested in Ubuntu, but when Steam got involved the controller functionality would decline with non-functional buttons or joysticks, dropped connectivity, or missing button presses. The Xbox controller never even got into the game because it would not connect to Ubuntu 22 sufficiently to complete jstest functionality. Frustrated, I read a few reviews then ordered the Luna Controller. I live in the Houston area and the Amazon prime service asked me if I needed it by 6 AM. I decided no, 6 AM to 8 AM was fine. It was delivered overnight, opened, Bluetooth paired to Ubuntu with about three button clicks after I read the manual to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. jstest was passed and Steam was launched on the Windows gaming PC and the Ubuntu HTPC. The Luna Controller connected perfectly to this Frankenstein gaming set up and remained responsive and fun with a minimal set up. 5/5, I am probably going to purchase more of these.
