---------------Update Nov. 12, 2019---------------
As I called two weeks ago on a Saturday I was promised that I would have someone pick it up on Sunday and that by Monday I would have a replacement.
Relieved I ended the call and did not think much of it. I received no confirmation email. Called again, another agent said that I would get the confirmation 3 hrs later...still no confirmation, called again...explained to another representative and then I asked for a supervisor, explained part of the problem again.
Supervisor was extremely nice. Explained I would not have the monitor picked up on a Sunday but on Monday, and that there are no replacements, and nothing on the warehouse to sell me. Fully refunded...still in process...a week after that I noticed the monitor back...ordered it.
Box came perfect, I even saw the handlers who gave me the new monitor with a big smile. Unpacked and I am using it as I type...still I have a new problem...the screen constantly goes off and on for like a second or two...why is this happening? My other Asus and an LG monitors in my office do not go off...why is this one going off? It seems to me something to do with the static...If I am wearing a robe with much static it will go on and off some 20 times until I lose it, turn it off, and remove all my clothes to be able to use it...this monitor is either sadistic or I am the biggest unluckiest shopper right now...what will I do?
I will call technical support, if it does not work, I return it and maybe...maybe...order a third one just in case...there...it just went off twice...anyways... In the end...I want to keep it, it is beautiful, the settings are hard to follow and the pixels are not as perfect and crisp as they should be, but it is not that bad either, the 43" is something I am used with now...if I end up giving up on this beautiful monitor, I will have to find another brand that is about this size and can actually ... work...
Stay tuned, next update coming up...one start added, let us hope Amazon can help me keep it.
--------------Updated Feb. 23, 2020---------------
I got a third one. No cracks...no scratches...trust me...I tried to find a new reason to get upset but Amazon was so good this time! No flickering, no screen leaking...I have gotten this one since December and I love it...gaming and programming is awesome. Amazon prime redeemed itself!
--------------Update Sep. 25, 2020---------------
My monitor started flickering, or going on and off just like the second 10 months later. Sad..
--------------Update Nov. 3rd, 2020---------------
The flickering problem has stopped. On the 26th of Sept. I turned it off and on manually. It goes off and on somehow due to the power button on the back screen. It may be sensitive. Anyways. Ever since the 26th...no more flickering issues!

Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2023
1 - The text readability at full 4K (No scaling) was really bad and blurry. Not terrible for games, but for everyday use - not good.
2 - The image quality is not good at all. First - even on custom settings you cannot get the picture to look natural - it always looks like the Gamma setting is too high - the whole screen has a gray "cloudy" look - either because the View angle is bad, or you just can't get natural looking colors/blacks. The image ghosting looks like a laptop from 1996. It was actually hard to play anything on this screen - even browsing the internet was miserable. I was replacing a 43" Sony XBR 4K (about 3 years old) and this Asus monitor can't even hold a candle to it. Not to mention there is barely any flexibility for inputs and outputs. My TV can only go to 60Hz at 4K, but it looks WAY better. I also get a full android platform as a smart TV on top of being a stellar gaming screen. I'm keeping what I have - no reason to down-grade to a more expensive monitor. I would pass on this one - It's not easy to buy and try this thing - learn from my mistake - and don't even bother.
The Remote as has been mentioned in other reviews tends to suffer from some "Lag" so if you press a button on the remote, it's best to wait 1-2 seconds before the button press shows up on the screen. I find pressing the remote buttons a little bit harder tends to make it a little bit more responsive but maybe that's just a placebo effect.
As far as performance goes, it's "JUST OK" for HDR. It's not the brightest panel but it looks decent. ASUS sells another ROG 43" monitor which supposedly is 1000 nits brightness but it's more expensive. There's always a trade off but i'm okay with that as HDR and Ray Tracing is not high on my list of must have graphical features. Sure it looks nice but its not going to make the game any better or worse for me. You might feel differently about HDR.
The display panel in 4K @60 FPS shows some blurring in games when panning from left to right but I compared it to my 1ms 240Hz Alienware panel and I also notice the same blurring effect with that panel @ 240Hz so I can't say this 43" is the problem. Maybe it's normal and it's dependent rather on the game.
The colors do pop, and the screen throughout looks extremely sharp with its 50 sharpness level which you can increase from 0-100. Overall, I am quite pleased with this monitor. Also of note, is the stand. It's about 24" wide and if you want to place it on a narrow TV stand it should be fine as long as the width comes close. My TV stand is about 23" wide and I just about made it so I didn't have to buy another stand.
At $799 it's an excellent buy and this sucker is freaking heavy so two people is recommended to move the large box around to unpack the contents.

Self info. Went through 7 TV's in my lifetime seeking that perfect one. this is it your search ends here guys. From all my testing only issue I've found is doesn't allow you to light up your room at night. Keep in mind you need a Display port cable version 1.4. to get the 120hrz default cable comes with it doesn't support it due to being HDMI.
For those PC hardcore guys? Keyboards are the best. this monitor sucks compared to X? This is the first step to us hybrid guys. There are only 2 43inch monitors that are 16:9 on the market. Please don't wreck it for us. By giving it bad reviews.
