This is an up and coming wine & food destination. The wines are impressive and the chefs are doing creative cuisine using local ingredients from farms and the sea. The architecture, history, design sensibility and natural landscape are what make a visit to the Valle so compelling. We had wonderful food from food trucks to fine dining. We used a van to transport us to wine tastings and dinners, which I highly recommend given the poor quality of the roads in many areas (country style dirt roads) and lack of signage. There is a lot to see in a 30 mile radius. Favorite dining was at: Fauna, Animalon, Olivea & Adobe Food Truck. Favorite tastings were at: Bruma, Monte Xanic, Lechuza & Anatolia. We stayed at MYA, a beautiful boutique hotel, which exceeded our expectations in every way. We stayed three nights but could have easily stayed for a week. Next time we will make time for a day trip to Ensenada, the ocean side town nearby. In our group of 8, everyone was delighted by the experience and we've vowed to make it an annual trip going forward. Reservations at restaurants and wineries are recommended.

What a gem of a place!
What a gem of a place! The locals are friendly and very knowledgeable. The scenery is abundant. There is good street food, but also fabulous cuisine at the wineries. There is places to be one with nature, but also others great for socializing. The main wine route is all rounded, and though you might have to deal with a few dirt roads you can take your time figuring out the area. Best of all the value of everything exceeded expectations! Only thing to note is that it gets very cold in winter and extremely hot in the summer, since it is a valley and surrounded by mountains.

Valle de Guadalupe is an up and coming wine region with so many unique wines and varietals. World-class farm to table food from high-end Mexican chefs and the most beautiful, modern architecture: minimalist and unique. The region is like a mix of Malibu and Joshua Tree with so many interesting dome structures. Just go!

For being the premier wine region of Mexico, Valle Guadalupe...
For being the premier wine region of Mexico, Valle Guadalupe was uncrowded, off the beaten path and felt like a local's destination more than a tourist destination. It certainly pays to seek out the lesser known wineries and restaurants that you can happen upon some of the best versions of what the valley has to offer. Beware of the "top 10 lists..." Too well known means overpriced and often underwhelming.
Some hits for us (other than the gorgeous, tranquil Terra de Valle and Don Nacho's amazing hospitality) were Shedeh for both food and wine - absolutely exquisite, and Dona Esthela's breakfast. Barron Balche and Hilo Negro had amazing red wines, Vinos de Garza had arguably the best views in the valley and Bloodlust was just the night time vibe we were looking for.
This is a true hidden gem for anyone in the area, even for a day trip from the coast. 5 days would be plenty.

absolutely everything! we really love how this place not only is it romantic for a couple but it’s family friendly too. cabins are beautiful and we really like the privacy. the big windows are just great to enjoy the sunset and the sunrise. restaurant is great too! everything is just great! i fell in love with their body moisturizer which is odd coming from me! i typically dont find hotel toiletries to be the best but these were amazing… i had to buy the moisturizer. there is a lot of detail on the property. i really enjoyed my stay!
Second time staying here and did not disappoint, love staying at the Tesela section of the hotel. The rooms are stand alone units with floor to ceiling windows, spectacular sunsets. The pool area also has great ambiance and the hot tub with hot! They have multiple pools so no one pool gets too busy. The restaurants snd cafe are also top notch.
We had a few hiccups during our stay however the hotel management and staff were wonderful in resolving our issues right away. They were kind and prompt in communication and did everything they could to take care of us. Excellent custom service! The grounds are beautiful and private. A nice little getaway in Valle De Guadalupe.
The hotel was perfect. The room was well designed, clean, and comfortable, with a huge, comfy bed and a nice bathroom. The surroundings were beautiful, and the breakfast was a highlight. We also really liked the staff who made an effort to make us feel welcome and to help with everything we asked for.
Super cozy hotel, José, Alonso, Karla, and their whole family are very nice and hospitable. Alonso also happens to be a great cook!
The hotel has a lot of character and it’s gorgeous. They treated us like family, definitely recommend :)
What a delightful little treehouse in Valle de Guadalupe! The staff were friendly and chill, they were very kind to our dog. Boskenvid is well located, only a quick drive to some lovely restaurants and wineries. Breakfast was delicious!
This is an incredible place to stay, relax, connect to nature, and pampered yourself. They have a Japanese culinary experience, spa, and yoga classes on Saturdays. Close to all the best wineries in the Valle. Definitely will come back.
Incredibly charming and tranquil little hotel in the town of Valle de Guadalupe. The food at the restaurant was delicious and it was great to have the community right outside the property.
Loved the individual cottages and quiet from being a small, intimate boutique hotel. Awesome pool too. We loved the individual fire pits and rooftop lounge. Very romantic and relaxing.
This comfortable, roomy cabin is stocked perfectly, all the way to amenities like kindling and fire starters for the fire pit. It's centrally located to wineries and restaurants.
I love the ambiance. There was a fire pit where we could enjoy the night with friends. It was in the center of everything. The restaurants were near by and really good food.
I LOVED our room/cottage with its beautiful terrace, lots of room, lovely decor, gorgeous view. It was exactly what I was looking for. And Valle de Guadalupe was a treat.
Highly recommend Encuentro. It is a unique hotel, in terms of architecture. Service is great and the facilities are amazing. The pool area is excellent. Amazing views!
