    not bad for the price
i am new to 3D printing, i have a friend though that has like 10 printers and he tried to tell me to avoid this printer. BUT, i decided, what the heck, it's cheap lets try it out, well cheap comparatively. so i ordered it and then went to their web site to order the DRM Filament that they "recommend" but no longer require. if you buy the 1KG Spool, it's 19.99 just like other 1KG spools. for those that do not want the DRM blocking them from using what ever they want, they do now sell a chip on their site for 49.99 to unlock it and takes away the DRM. but for beginners and those that are just starting, i am not so sure it is that bad of an idea.however i have printer the spool holder for the 1KG rolls, very first thing i got printed so i didn't run out of the sample the send to you, and then i played around printing things i wanted. i have printed an Insulin holder for my vials for the fridge, a miniature figure, that was a bit rough but that is on me, and currently working on printing a flexible arm phone mount. Wife wants it, but do to the size and volume of this thing, needing like 3 feet of flex tubing it is taking a long time, but 3D printing takes a long time.if you just need something that works and fits, sure you can print it at max 0.4mm layers, it wont look very nice but should get the job done. where as this flexible phone holder i have it printing, after a couple of test pieces, you really need it on very fine and 0.1mm layers. because the tolerance is so little on these parts that i need every 0.005mm i can get to fit them perfect and they still move. and it is doing it. if you are brand new to 3D printing this is not that bad of a printer. now keep in mind that i will replace this printer, or at least add an Ender or something in the future because this does have a small print bed and some quirks with it. like for one, the software. use it to upgrade the firm ware, load and unload, and thats it. i use Cura for printing direct over USB for now, and i use a multitude of makers. the XYZ software, leaves you needing and wanting more. its not the worst, but not that great.bottom line, is this thing the best, NO. is it decent for its cost, yes. does it have some inconveniences? YES but over all, i am happy with it. at least if i break this printer, i am not breaking a 300-600 dollar printer. so this is my learning curve before i go to something better and more expensive.

5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality Printer For Everyone Of All Ages!!
Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2019
Very good printer for beginners. I am 13 years old and have printed a couple of objects. The printer works well with the xyzprinting gallery, thingiverse, and tinkercad. The only objects that don’t work out so well for me are words. Also, it is best if you apply a coat of glue to the print bed, because if you don’t, it may have rounded edges (like the Statue of Liberty pictured). It is fairly simple to use the XYZ designing and printing software. Overall, this is a very high-quality printer for everyone and is well worth your money and time.

1.0 out of 5 stars Was 4 Stars with 1.0.6 firmware, piece of junk in newer. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS
Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2018
So i bought this, and jumped into the world of 3d printing. It was wireless, which was good because of the way my home office was arranged. No issues big issues until ~3 or 4 months ago, when I upgraded to firmware 1.0.7 via their app (Their software would constantly crash, but since it "finished the print" i was fine with it -- 4 stars then instead of 5)

After updating to 1.0.7 i could no longer reliably connect to the printer via wi-fi -- it would drop, disappear, pull wrong IP address, other things -- i ended up buying a USB extender cable and plugging it into my computer. Irritating that I have a "wireless" printer that only works plugged in, but I soldiered on.

Fast forward to yesterday, where, Huzzah, a new firmware! Would it fix my printer back to being wireless? would it no longer be super irritating to troubleshoot a printer while the software pops ups advertisements and crashes?

Alas, the 1.0.9 firmware, did, on the one hand, make wireless more stable. But, I am also no longer able to finish a single print... it's given me "Invalid Printer Cartridge" "USB communication error occured" (while in wireless print)

the "Dashboard' now freezes for long periods of time, and when i was in the "Load Filament" menu, i clicked "finish" and it just hung, pouring out more and more molten PLA until i killed the power. (1st pic I have on the review shows that)

I can not recommend buying this, even for entry level, unless it's somehow the 1.0.6 firmware version of the device, and you NEVER upgrade it EVER.
