Lords Of The Archipelago: Blood-Feud – A Modern Day Pirate Action Adventure Thriller Kindle Edition
A young man torn between family honor and the woman he loves.
Deadly secrets. Cold-blooded killers.
Welcome to the Archipelago.
The Tavingtons are the PIRATE LORDS OF THE ARCHIPELAGO—the most powerful family in a high-seas, 21st-century pirate syndicate—and Caleb Tavington is the heir to the throne.
Unknown to the syndicate, Caleb wants out. He's in love with Emma Wallace, and in the Archipelago that's a death sentence, because the Wallaces and the Tavingtons are locked in a deadly blood-feud, with decades of hatred and violence between them.
Caleb knows that, to survive, he and Emma have to disappear, and he has an exit plan...but then everything falls apart.
To make it out alive, this modern-day Romeo and Juliet must walk a deadly tightrope of betrayal, blood-feud and war, and Caleb will have to remind an ocean full of stone-cold killers why he is the most feared pirate in the syndicate—and still a Lord of the Archipelago.

About the author
D.B. Motu is a recovering screenwriter, often found drowning in coffee shops. He was born on an island you've never heard of, grew up under martial law in Southeast Asia, and currently lives and writes in sunny Southern California. He insists he's directly descended from Samoan and British royalty, and counts among his ancestors a South Seas pirate. He's a board-gaming poet and aspiring liar. Pull up a chair.

Excellent characterization, along with an engaging plot line makes this standalone thriller an easy book to “highly recommend”!
Give it a try. You may find, as I did, well worth your time.
My very own introduction to even the concept of modern-day pirates came with the movie Captain Phillips. And of course the hero of that story wasn’t the pirate.
With pure crime family vibes, in DB Motu’s Lords of The Archipelago there’s a Corleone in the high seas. One-part Michael, one-part Sonny, two-parts Vito and DB’s Caleb Tavington is The Godfather of The Archipelago.
DB writes with an air of authenticity which reads more like a lived-in experience than it does fiction. The Archipelago vibrantly lives in the pages of this story.
If that isn’t titillating enough, throw in a hint of Romeo and Juliet, and we’re ready to collectively hold our breaths for this action-packed tale which puts us in the midst of life and death battles with the hidden coves and open waters as the backdrop.
And still as our mind runs amok in the thick of it, we have to keep reminding ourselves – this is a fictional story.
But then our thoughts, or rather my thoughts, go astray again, and I have to think, Perhaps there really is a pirate lurking in the pages or perhaps the real pirate of The Archipelago was the author.
I was pleasantly surprised. The book was well written, and far from a sparse screen play. Most maritime action fiction seems to take place in the Caribbean, the fictional setting allowed my mind to roam a bit more, more freedom of imagination for me to use in the settings.
Looking forward to seeing how it all plays out in the future books, more background on the main characters and history of the Council.
