I got this on sale and I put this together to partially replace our rotting redwood raised garden.
Initial impressions are good. Assembly is super easy, no tools required. The end product is plenty sturdy for a single large plant.
It is very tall for what I'm planting (too tall, in fact), so I didn't use all the coated metal rods. I personally could have gotten by with the shorter version, but I can use the extra frame pieces to set into the ground to place cheesecloth over some of our other plants, and/or save them in case some of the others rust.
As others have noted, the wheels are a little cheesy, and I personally would have paid $20 more for more heavy duty polyurethane stem caster wheels that cost $20 on Amazon. If you are buying this because it has wheels, it looks like you can replace the wheels with a properly-sized stem caster, and I personally think that's what you'll probably want to do. I'll definitely be changing the wheels out before I fill mine with dirt.
I like the self-watering feature, and the fact that it's just plastic and metal, so there's no need to protect it in the elements. The wheels are probably good enough, and at the price I paid, I can't complain about the quality of the wheels, but I'm still going to change those out. The rest of the item is plenty durable for a large plant, and again, the whole thing won't ever rot. On that note, the little poles came very well-coated. Still, I'm guessing they may eventually rust in spots, but we'll see.
Overall, this item is a great value that looks decent, especially at the price point. I expect it will last longer than our previous redwood planter at a fraction of the price, with no maintenance required. It also has a small footprint, which I like. It's 5 stars with better wheels, but for the price, I'll give it 4.5 stars and round up to 5 stars.
