An international bestselling and award winning author of sweet contemporary romance, Kathleen's novels showcase thought provoking plots and strong emotions that have been likened to a Hallmark movie. Featuring feisty heroines and strong heroes, where everyone gets a happily ever after.
The characters are likeable enough, and their romance is certainly steamy enough, but there’s a massive plot-point that doesn’t get addressed at all. She’s a foster mom, and that’s a huge part of her character development, except we never meet the children, or see how we interacts with them, and they aren’t part of the whirlwind relationship at all, not even in passing. (How hard would it be to mention that they talked for hours about life and kids and…?) We know he has kids and grandkids, but also… they were barely mentioned in passing. He says he’s single, but no mention of how, or what happened to his kids’ other parent(s). Overall, this book seems incomplete.
