I turn trusted housewives into adulterous whores.

Let’s face it, nothing lasts forever. She may have started out as your wet dream, but now she’s your ball and chain. Let me set you free.
I’ll turn your loyal lady into a lecherous liar.
I can give you the uncontested divorce you desire, end your impending engagement, or rid you of that clingy girlfriend.
Either way, you’ll be a free man.

My name is Rift, and men pay me to have affairs with their women. It’s my job to get caught. While unethical, my profession is easy. Hell, most days it’s fun. At least until I fall for the soon-to-be ex of my newest client.

“I knew men were stupid, cheating assholes just as much as women were heartless whores, but I tried not to think about it. My revenge wasn’t for the men. It was for the women. So, because of that, I tended to overlook the men’s fuckups.”

Being offered this advanced reading copy had no influence on my willing and always honest review.

This will be a short review for once. To the point like a well-oiled machine. Like Rift’s business was until Gwyn.

I won’t rehash the plotline as you can read it above, no. I’ll go straight to the jugular.
I didn't love Rift in the beginning. At all.
I may have understood he was hurt and was seeking his revenge it did not make it enjoyable to read about what he did.

It was very cynical, detached and cold. I was disgusted.

Now what I recognized early on was the original if yet depressing trope. Making your wife cheat on you as you are fed up with her but you don't want to pay big bucks for a divorce.
What a bunch of cowards! These men and Rift too.
Granted the wives fell for him and cheated. The were disloyal going back on their oath. Some even were in their marriage only for the money. It still felt...stale and vile.

Rift was a anti-hero. The opposite of a role model.

He should have caught an illness or burned in Hell for what he was doing BUT all the book's interest was in his redemption.

Do we always deserve a second chance? Can we redeem ourselves?

Gwyn was an angel. If you don't like that kind of perfectly sweet-beautiful-caring-smart-generous female MC pass your way. You will hate her. Overload of sweetness.

I dig kind heroines. I think the world is full enough with egotists not to appreciate kindness when we find it. Gwyn was a lovely heroine in my eyes but I had a big complaint: she was clueless about her fiancé

Of course if she saw the light early on the book would have been very short! The game of cat and mouse and to last longer to hold the reader’s interest.

All in all it’s been one of these read that you can enjoy and read fast, filled with very cynical characters paired and admirable ones.
Sweet and sour with a kick of spice.

Dylan "Rift" Russell is built to entice, he's programmed to lure and has honed his Art of Seduction to a science. So much so that he's arrogant about his power to charm women into his bed.
He's a Cock For Hire to put it bluntly. Devastatingly good looking with killer moves in bed make him Irresistable to women, making his job a piece of scrumptious cake !
Women screamed my name in bed. Begged and called constantly after just one taste. Getting a woman to cheat was easy if they liked what you had to offer. A good smile. Impeccable style. And dimples that made panties drop on sight.

He's hired by men to turn their wives/girlfriends/fiancées into cheating whores , so they can get rid of them legitimately.
Rift doesn't ask questions, he doesn't question moralities. His job is simple. Get his Mark, and get, set,go!! He leaves his heart and morals at the door, as he methodically goes about destroying relationships, as per his contract.
He's hired by Mitchell Summerton now. His current mark- Gwenyth "Gwyn" Petrova, his fiancée. But he has a job to do. Turn her into a cheater. Easier said than done, cause Gwyn isn't a jumper of beds. She's innocent, pure and loyal. So Rift has to up the ante !
A story about using sex as a weapon, injures the Attacker and leaves scars on his own heart.
I connected with Gwyn, she's so untouched and sweet. I hated Mitchell, I swooned over Rift. A story with a heart. Enjoyeable sexy morsel!

Rift's past left him jaded and he no longer believed in love. SO needless to say that his conscience did not bother him for doing what he did....that is until he meets Gwyn and he realizes that she might be the one that was different.

Gwyn thought she found her prince, but little did she know that he was hiding in a prince's suit and was not whom she thought he was.

Rift tried really hard to not let Gwyn affect him but he was no match for that inner beauty that she let shine through.

Yes there was angst, drama and lots of sexiness but most of all there was more a story that gave me hope that even players could change 😉 Kara~ 4 Stars

This book! I knew I'd love it just from the blurb because books where the couple is headed for disaster?

The book had a great fire to it in the beginning but it kinda got burned out right after Gwen finds out the truth about Rift, where it moved into something bland since there was absence of emotional chemistry between Rift and Gwen, the love seemed more sexual. And Mitchell disappeared into thin air, apart from these, I actually enjoyed the book.

Rift has been burned from his previous relationship. Moving on, he found a way to make serious money. He would be the one doing the heart breaking!! Looks, style, swoon worthy, ability to lure in even the hardest target. Rift is good, very good at his job. Never failing to have the outcome desired by the ones who hire him.

Gwyn is the daughter of a successful tech company owner. When she gets engaged to Mitchell who works directly under her father, she sees happiness in her father that she hasn’t seen for years.

Now that the wedding is getting closer, she feels that she is getting farther away from her fiancé.

Until Rift comes into the picture. He makes her feel wanted, feel desired, looks at her like she is the only one in a room packed full. Why doesn’t her own fiancé look or make her feel this way.

When the truth comes out though, does anyone get their HEA? Or is it heartbreak for all?

Naughty Factor: 3/5

What an enjoyable story this was! The premise was a bit different from what I’ve read in long while which felt like a breath of fresh air. The characters were very enjoyable.

Rift was so jaded when it came to women and meeting Gwyn really turned the tables on him. She wasn’t what he was expecting. She was giving, caring, graceful. She had a big heart and modest, no matter the amount of money she grew up with. She was also loyal. This made her a tough nut to crack for Rift’s growing business for the wealthy seeeking to end their relationships. She definitely wasn’t making it easy for him.

Gwyn being who she was, renewed his faith in love. She was so strong in her convictions and made it quite difficult for Rift given the intense physical attraction/connection they shared. She was in constant war with her head, heart and libido.

This was such fun story with depth, substance and a lot of heat. Gwyn and Rift were wonderful characters and for this being my first experience with both authors, I truly enjoyed everything about it.

I loved the blurb for this book. And, yes, it is cheating and it has cheating. Which, I think, was clear from the blurb. So, if this is a hard limit for you, this isn't the book for you. But, if you are ok with a hero who isn't perfect and a heroine who is a little flawed to, this book is for you.

If you are still reading, that means we have moved past the cheating and can talk about why this book is good. Cheating, by definition, is bad. And, it is something that I would not do...so, the only way I am going to get to experience it first hand is through a book, where I get the POV of the woman falling for a man who is not her boyfriend/fiance.

Rift is hired to get Gywn to cheat, so her fiance can end their engagement without losing his position in the company where he works. The problem, for all of them, is that Rift and Gwyn fall for one another, and there is no longer a game when real feelings are on the line.

This plot was twisty and angsty. The scenes with Rift and Gwyn were compelling, and hot. You felt their connection, and you wanted them to find their happy.

It helped that you had points in both the POV of Rift and Gwyn, so you could see where they each were in the relationship and how they felt about one another.

There were a couple of things at the end that I wish hadn't been there, as I wanted to see a little bit more of the end of their fake relationship play out. Not enough for me to say I didn't enjoy the title, but I wanted just a little more.

This is my first title by either of these authors, alone or as a duo. And, I am looking forward to the next!

This is a quite easy read novel that seems predictable at times but the authors do a great job in throwing some twists our way that i wasn't expecting.

Rift comes across as an A-hole and well he is for the most part, he's arrogant and holding a grudge after having his heart broke. So he is basically the male version of a honey trap enticing women to be unfaithful on their other halves, his clients. I wasn't sure i was going to like him but once we got a glimpse of the real Rift that all changed.

Gwyn is a sweetheart, the daughter of a successful businessman that has a pure heart when she could be a trust fund brat. Her passion for helping others is admirable but I must admit at first I wanted her to be stronger for herself, she seemed to be a pleaser and one that would settle for the chance to make others happy.

Gwyn is engaged to Mitchell, a proper douche who works for her father, and as the wedding nears they are both harbouring doubts. Mitchell enlists the help of Rift to try and find a way out. But will Rifts unethical practices even be needed as Gwyn questions their relationship?

However, things don't always go to plan and this is much the case for all three. I loved how the story panned out and wasn't expecting to find the ending so emotional as I didn't really feel invested in the characters but bravo to the authors.

This book started out so good! It had me pretty much from the beginning! But... It had me a little all over the place to! I honestly didn’t know how Rift...aka Dylan was going to redeem himself towards the end of the book!

Rift was burned by the love of his life pretty early on on in his life. That made him who he was today. A guy that never every wanted to be in that position again... broken hearted.
In the beginning he went into great detail about how he went about in breaking up couples. And the stages of emotions that women went in after getting caught!

All of Rift’s full proof ways to break up any relationship was interesting to read! Once the client discovered the affair the wife’s, girlfriends, or fiancé‘s went through the stages!

Step one: Panic
Step two: Lies
Step three: Groveling
Step four: Anger
Step five: Acceptance

The beginning of the book set the tone of the book and I just couldn’t read fast enough.

Mitchell... Rift’s new client contacted him about ending his engagement to his fiancé Gwyn. Man... I hated Mitchell. He was really a piece of work. But Rift put Mitchell’s mind at ease and told him he was a sure thing. He never met a mark he couldn’t get. And he laid out all the rules/steps to getting his mark.

Step one: Establish your target.
Step two … watch your target.
Step three: find out what she liked.
Step four: finding out what my target needed.

This was where I started to flip back and forth. Around the 50% mark of the book. I both loved and hated it. I really loved Gwyn. And I started to feel bad about what Mitchell was doing to her. And I hated they Rift was trying his hardest to make her fall. I couldn’t see past how Gwyn would forgive him after all was reviled. How could Gwyn just overlook everything he put her through.

But as I read on. Dylan really proved himself. And I fell in love with him! I absolutely loved the ending. It was cute and believable. I really enjoyed this story!

I was super excited to read this book when I saw the cover!!! It’s so sexy and the colors really work well. And there was some mystery to it.

Rift is not a good guy. He sleeps with woman and when he gets caught by their significant other he collects the cheque.

Gwyn is his next victim. Rift assumes she is just like everyone other woman. Selfish, gold digging and a ho! Gwynn’s Fiancé Mitchell wants Rift to have an affair with Gwyn so he can keep his job with Gwynn’s fathers company. Rift has no problems with this and is up for the challenge.

When Rift and Gwyn have their “accidental meeting he is instantly taken by surprise by her her beauty. He turns on the charm and she seems to be immune to it. This is different for him usually all his targets are putty in his hands but not her.

Gwyn is a kind caring woman who spends her days looking after sick children at a hospital...it’s her life’s work and how she gives back. Mitchel doesn’t seem to have any interest in her anymore and is always busy working all the time.

When Rift comes along she is finally getting some attention she has been craving and she can’t seem to stop thinking about him.

I liked these two characters and thought it was a good story. I didn’t think it was anything extremely special but I did like it. The ending was really emotional and that is where I felt the most connection to the characters. For this reason I am giving it 3 stars!

I'm writing this review with a huge smile on my face. This book has induced one heck of a hangover and I don't want a cure. Even knowing what Rift does for a living, I still fell for him hard.

Rift has been burned in the past by his woman cheating on him. It literally broke him to the point that he made his profession being paid to seduce wives into cheating so the man could divorce her without any hassle. He has completely given up on love and vows to never trust a woman again. He soon finds out that there is a woman that will stop him in his tracks.

Gwyn is in a loveless engagement. She has no clue that her fiance is cheating on her and he wants out without angering her father who owns the company he works for. He hires Rift to get her to cheat so that her father can't hold it against him that their relationship failed. He thrusts Rift into her life over and over again. What he nor Rift ever realized is that he may have just met the woman that could make Rift rethink his feelings toward women.

Rift unwittingly falls head over heels in love with Gwyn and is in a sticky situation with how to break the news to Gwyn as to what he was really around for. When it finally comes out, @#it hits the fan. Is the love they share strong enough to get through this betrayal or will Gwyn run back to Mitchell and try to make it work?

3.5 Stars-A Little Cookie Cutter, but a Good Read

Tabatha Vargo and Melissa Andrea did a nice job creating a character you hate to love in Heartbreak for Hire. Rift was annoying one second and then a good guy the next. I had to keep reading to see if he was ever going to move on from his past.

Rift is pretty cut and dry from the blurb. As a man that's had his heart stomped on in the past, his mission in life now is to make every woman that crosses his path pay for what happened to him. And he if he makes a little money on the side while doing it...bonus!

While on the job, Rift finally meets his match, rather the girl that may finally break down the wall he's built around his heart. Sure she's a mark, but the more gets to know her, the more he starts falling for her.

The book is pretty cut and dry and because this is an ARC edition, there were quite a few errors, which I hope the ladies catch before publishing. While a predictable read, it did keep my attention and there's a little something something at the end that made it work for me.

I am new 2 both of these authors, & was super excited to jump on in and see what they did have to offer ... I had heard about their PR woes and thought why the heck not??! I love the story line ... what a great idea ...sort of ... I am not 1 who love cheating ... I understand it ... why it happens ... don't really like it ... figure you better say your peace and move on leaving the 1 you did leave not so heartbroken ... but what is this more about ... being paid for SEX? or??! Playing with fire. Interesting idea for this cover. It does end with an HEA ... I look forward to reading more from both of these authors. I am curious what or how they did write it together. That is always cool to see when you have a duo writing. I prefer calling him Dylan over Rift. But they both apparently work, LOL! Must read, loved it, cool idea and it just poof went from there . . . Heartbreak for Hire was not what I was expecting. Its full of love, lust, redemption and heartache. Lana @ White Hot Reads

Rift aka Dylan is a man on a mission when it comes to making women cheat on their significant other all while getting caught on purpose. He has never failed on a mission before but Gwyn is totally different from the other women and just might be the one he can't seduce.

The push and pull attraction they have for each other is undeniable but she just won't go there. Gwyn's relationship with her fiancé is strained as he pulls away for her and she starts to wonder if they should even be together. She learns things which make the situation go from bad to worse and breaks her heart but in the end it all gets worked out.

Heartbreak for Hire is a classic TV|MA book. Fun, sexy and full of feels, I stay engaged from Chapter 1. ~ Heather, White Hot Reads

First, let me say I squealed to read my name in a book. It didn't even matter that I was a two but hussy, cheating on her husband. HOLLA! I'm a character in a book. Now, let us move onto the important parts.

Rift is hot. Super broken, swoon worthy, determined and SEXY - HOOOOT! Yep, he's the kind of guy I'm on board being a hussy with. 😂😂. But he's kind and sweet and all the things that makes the women fall for him.

Despite the title, this book is chocked full of fun and feels. It's not just a sexy romance but so much more. If you've never read a TV|MA book this is a great one to start with!

Loved it!

This book was actually really good. I hate cheating, but the blurb sounded fantastic. So I dove in.

First off I hate Mich what a freaking jerk!!! Gwyn is such a sweetheart and this girl literally tried to please her fiance, but he never had anything to do with her. He just wanted her dad's job. Mich hires Rift so that he can sleep with Gwyn and get out of the relationship. Little does Rift know that he is going to fall for Gwyn.

Gwyn and Dylan, aka Rift.

Rift knows how to entice the ladies and dial up the sex. Because that's all it is. Essentially sex for hire. Heartbreak For Hire. His actions are reprehensible. But with Gwyn, it all goes wrong. Her fiancé, Mitchell, is still the cheating bastard who hired him, but Gwyn is not the typical "cheating whore" he lures in.

Instead, he's drawn to her. And her to him...that is Dylan. Dylan loses sight of Rift, the ultimate goal, the Heartbreak For Hire. Instead his hatred and resentment of all things female, turns on her cheating liar of a fiancé.

And that's where things get muddy. Muddy? 😂😂 he was a lost cause long before that and it's very easy to hate the "hero" of the story. But I found myself drawn to Dylan and the good parts of the man. The man he may once have been. More importantly, the man he was meant to be. The children at the hospital? 😰😭 The goodness Gwyn and Dylan have inside them pours out into these sick kids and I was pretty much a blubbering mess. The purity and innocence in the face of illness, most terminal, grabs you by the heart.

Avel is a man with depth. A devoted dad who had his heart and soul ripped out. He sees more and accepts more than I saw coming. 😭💔.

Despite Rift's "career" and actions, the premise for the story, Heartbreak For Hire was really good. There will always be liars and cheaters. But there are also good people who's kindness emanates from them. The bigger piece for me is that there are people who realize their mistakes and want to change, be better people. Can a tiger change its stripes? Yes, for the right reason, or right person as it may be, they can.

Rift faded away. Dylan shone through. Gwyn? She lost a lot and forgiveness did not come easy, nor should it have. Love, goodness and yes, honor, can change everything.

HEART BREAK FOR HIRE got to me with its intriguing, unique and refreshing concept. It’s unlike any other story I’ve read, although I know that’s a talent of Ms. Vargo, whose writing I’ve come to love. It was my first read by Ms. Andrea though.

A man hired to help filthy-rich men to get rid of their wives. No, not the macabre, bloody kind of way, but by seducing their wives and being caught in-flagrante. Ooops.

Rift is one hero difficult to like, to connect to – at least in the beginning. I have a knack for heroes with an a-hole-ish behavior, so me not liking the male lead is not saying much. Usually I find a trait that makes him redeemable that I can latch onto. And it might have taken a while, but Rift was no different for me: A broken soul of a man who is trying to mend his heart by seeking revenge in destroying other women, however wrong and immoral that might be.

Gwyn is such a sweet soul of a woman, working in a hospital and putting all her heart and efforts into her job – but she is bound to get stuck in a loveless marriage…

She is just another job for Rift, but from the moment they meet, he feels that she is different than the other women. And the more he’s getting to know her, the more convinced he becomes… Of course he is still hell-bent on fulfilling his job, only his motivation to do so slowly changes…

Seeing the changes in Rift throughout the storyline, him slowly becoming the man he has been before all this started was amazing and enthralling: Jaded, cynical guy falls for pure-hearted beauty.

I cannot wait to read more by either of these authors!

The story line for this book was so intriguing. I have never read a book that was based on this topic.

Rift is a man hired to help wealthy men get out of their marriages. He gets paid when the husband catches his wife with Rift. During all these years, Rift has never had feelings for one of his "jobs." When Rift meets Gwyn, he feels an instant attraction. After getting to know her, he realizes she isn't like the other women and his feelings begin to grow. He feels like she would be better off without her cheating fiancee anyways, so he keeps up the facade. When secrets are revealed, will Gwyn still choose to be in a loveless marriage>

Gwyn was such a sweet and caring heroine. She works at the hospital and truly invests all her time and effort into the kids.

Rift is a broken soul trying to get revenge for a past relationship. He has a hardened heart and wants nothing to do with women unless he is breaking up their relationships.

Together they realize what all of their relationships have been missing...passion and love. They know what they feel is different, but they also have legitimate reasons as to why they are holding back from each other.

This was the 1st book I have read from these authors, and I can definitely say I will be reading more of their work. This story kept me entertained from the first page and I truly enjoyed the new plot on romance.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 4 Stars

This is the first time I have read a novel from either one of these authors, and I must say that I quite enjoyed reading Heartbreak For Hire. Gwyn and Rift were really great characters. Gwyn was such a sweetheart. Her love for everyone around her was felt through the pages. She was amazing and she was selfless, and goes through a hell of a lot of heartache! Rift is a professional heartbreaker. He is a gorgeous charismatic man with a swoon inducing smile. I could feel when things started to change for him. His character got softer and I fell in love with him too!

The story was easy to read and it held my attention. The anticipation of what was going to happen kept me interested in what was happening in the book. There was a couple of times I thought that maybe it was going a tad slower than I would have liked but it soon picked up. It started slower but, to me, kind of ended in a rush. Everything seemed to happen at once.

I was sitting here enjoying my read when BAM, I got slapped with the emotions. They made me tear up a bit..I did not see that coming at all! And just when I thought it was over... BAM, here’s another twist for you! I must say though, that last twist I loved! Then ending was beautiful in my opinion. I am looking forward to reading more from both authors.

Oh good lord. This book drove me crazy. I hated it and at the same time it was so entertaining I couldn’t hate it as much as I wanted.

Here’s the deal, I’m a fan of Tabatha Vargo. I’ve read some of her books and they are pretty amazing so I thought I’d give this one a shot. I noticed there was going to be some cheating involved when I read the synopsis but for some reason it didn’t register in my mind that there was a possibility that the main character was going to actually cheat. I prayed for a miracle that changed the outcome of the story but my prayers weren’t heard and the dreaded cheating moment eventually happened. I… was angry, to say the least. I don’t care if the main character was in a love-less relationship and her fiancé was cheating on her. She should have ended the relationship, not immediately go cheat on her cheating fiancé but that’s another opinion for another day.

Even though I really hated all of the cheating in this story, I couldn’t really hate the story as a whole. It is so incredibly good and original. It’s light and fast paced and very easy to read. It is even emotional at times—I may have shed a tear or two—which surprised me. The characters are so nice that my heart and mind refused to dislike them even though I wanted to hate them for cheating. And above it all, it has a super exciting and unexpected plot twist at the end. I LOVED the plot twist.

I definitely recommend this book. It’ll put you out of your comfort zone for sure. And chances are you’ll become a fan of both of these authors since their writing is precious.

Admittedly, I had a hard time getting into this book. If I start off not liking the male lead, I tend to either stop reading the book altogether or I stretch it out as much as I can. However, I had to find out if Rift had anything good about him. I had to know if I would even like him by the end of the book.

I liked Gwyn, but I didn't like that she took forever to figure out what was obvious, from the way he treated her, and see what she needed to kick to the curb. Sometimes, I have to remind myself that not everyone has a good bull meter. I like said above, I started off not liking Rift. He was basically a gigolo. He had to have something good about him, right? It just goes to show that a good woman can inspire a man who is hell-bent on causing chaos into changing his ways and being who he was before his heart was broken. I finally ended up liking him by the last chapter and the epilogue.

It started out slow, setting everything up, then by the middle, it flew by. It was fun seeing such a jaded guy fall for the good girl. I loved the last chapter and the epilogue. This was where the true Rift was and who he should have been from the beginning. Nice job to the authors!

This was a really interesting read, i never read a plot similar to this before.
At first i really didn't like him,not for his "job" but of how full of him self he is, then advancing with the read i'm glad he changed his ways when he get to know her.

*******************SPOILERS***********************************************
I liked this story BUT i wished he told her, i wish he did something to get her back, what the hell did he do in that 6 months? we DON'T EVEN KNOW,and i'm wandering what was he waiting for? just for her returning to the hospital ? come on, i thought he will fight for her, it's ok giving her a lil time for grieving , i could understand....a few weeks but 6 months??? no way, i'm disappointed .

THEN another thing missing in the book it's their confrontation... i wanted to see her reaction of him doing that for YEARS, i wanted to see them rebuilding their relationship... but NOPE, we jump in the epilogue 2 years later.
DAMN , i also wanted her ex reaction to them being together .

So yeah, i wish this important facts were there, but nope
The story was still cool tho, not the best but ok.

Rift is hired by rich men wanting to catch their partners cheating even if he has to seduce them into cheating.

Gwyn is engaged to Mitchell but lately feels disconnected from him and their relationship. What she doesn’t know is that she’s Rift’s next target courtesy of Mitchell who wants out the relationship but doesn’t want to lose his prestigious job working for her father.

The ‘accidental’ meeting between them throws Rift off balance, he didn’t expect that one look would leave him fascinated. Gwyn is no pushover and doesn’t fall as easily as the previous women.

I liked Gwyn despite her wealth she’s s down to earth grounded caring young woman who spends the majority of her time with sick children. Starved of affection by her fiancé through more time she spends with Rift the more she realises something is missing. Rift is s character you love to hate, I won’t condone anything he’s done he’s her bitterness take over but with Gwyn we see the real man behind his persona.

Will anyone get a HEA buy the book and find out.
