It was a gift.

Great book all forex traders. Well organized throughout. Early chapters provide an insight into the currency market and its relationships with the equity and commodities markets, as well as driving forces within the forex market. The core of the text focuses on technical and fundamental trading strategies. I found Lien's technical strategies particularly useful as advanced techniques and I have not read of them elsewhere in other books, making them a valuable asset in a traders arsenal. The latter portion of the text is focused on detailed currency profiles of the world's leading currencies. Lastly, this book was published in 2015 and in this edition the most current issues, trends, and relevant material are discussed. Kathy Lien is a great trader as well as author, and I was able to purchase this book at a discount of around $25 from its list price, and I am glad that I did.

Hopefully future editions of this book will include a currency profile for China as well as a conclusion section that recaps the most critical and recent current events shaping the forex market as well as any other pertinent remarks, pointers, concluding statements, etc.

Well worth the effort to read this book from cover to cover, the author is able to elucidate complex macro concept in FA and TA in a very readable fashion without loss of continuity !
Must read for anyone wishing to have a go at Forex Trading.

I bought this book because it was recommended by another popular book on the subject of Day Trading. Although the book is expensive I found it was money well spent as it taught me a lot about the workings of the Forex market and what causes currencies to move. I would recommend this book to other currency traders.

As an apprentice of currency trading I was delighted to have gotten so much useful information in such a ompressed manner. Although there are some incongruences in some of the exposed info, I definetly recommend giving this one a go.

Kathy Lien certainly is an expert in Forex Trading with tremendous knowledge and experience. She is a highly respected FX trading expert in the Forex Trading World. I was so excited to read this book as 2nd edition.
It took me quite sometime to realize that there are lots of mistakes in the first half of the book. For example, she was describing the market condition of the EUR/USD performance, but the chart was the JPY rate chart. Either the proofreading is not doing the job in finding the mismatch messages, or the editor did not care for the content.
Certainly technical indicators are no longer used by her, but they are part of the book in detail - WHY??
The trade setup checklist is good idea, but she failed to explain why and how to use it - Confusing!
