I've used this on the job site daily for a few years. Bought it when it first came out. It held up through all the abuse and still works! Just started to sound like it's getting a little worn so I ordered a new one. First time, I got the foldable stand which left a little to be desired. This time I felt it deserved the hd rolling stand. What a difference in stability! The saw has so much power when I use a 9 ah fv battery you'd think I had it plugged in. I use a 7 ¼" blade cuz they are thinner and easier on the saw and make better cuts. Thanks for reading

I've used this on the job site daily for a few years. Bought it when it first came out. It held up through all the abuse and still works! Just started to sound like it's getting a little worn so I ordered a new one. First time, I got the foldable stand which left a little to be desired. This time I felt it deserved the hd rolling stand. What a difference in stability! The saw has so much power when I use a 9 ah fv battery you'd think I had it plugged in. Would you like a portable table saw? This one could easily fill that void. This is clearly in the game. It cuts so smoothly and quietly in comparison to other saws. But this cuts like a high end table saw. You may think that portable = junk. This is not the case. It's much nicer than my cheap table saw (i've had for about 15 years). This one is completely adjustable from the square of the fence to the miter to adjusting the blade to be parallel with the miter slots. It's nice to be able to cut from a heavy duty saw and yet designed to be easy to carry (not necessarily lite).
The battery did seem to drain relatively quickly but I did cut 5 nightstands, 15 8.5x11 ACM sheets, 4 2x4, 1 24x24 OSB 7/16", I don't know if it was actually draining quickly or if it was because the length of the fence allowed me to cut so many more things so much faster. It still wasn't dead after that.
I do like how it worked though and I have 6 9AH batteries, so It's not like I'll run out.
Great saw for the money!
I think it should include the stand, but it doesn't. Not huge but I had a hard time finding one in stock and if it was included that would not be a problem.

I bought this so that I can make repeated cuts without a clamping edge and a circular saw. As others stated, it's not really loud, it's actually quieter than my circular saw when cutting. It's accurate enough right out of the box but I will make a test with a leftover board to check the error. The fence is really stable and the extended rest is too.

The portability is just on point, it's not really heavy and can be carried around one-handed if you wanted to.
My problem with it from a project's POV is that it only has one miter slot so cross-cut sleds would not work well. However, the miter slot is also slotted horizontally so you can incorporate it into a sled if you wanted to.

You have to be careful with the start button flap as when you start the saw and let go of the flap fast it can shut it down with spring tension.

Battery life is long enough for a mid-size project (at least for me).
I recommend this table saw.

So, I'm a contractor and fully invested in the dewalt line of tools and batteries including FlexVolt. I've had the 12" Flexvolt compounding Mitre saw for over a year along with the compressor, the tracksaw, and then almost all the 20V MAX tools. The only reason I didn't have the table saw is I had a 10" table saw that I liked, and I was waiting for Dewalt to come out with a 10" FlexVolt table saw that might be similar to the mitre saw in that it could be battery operated or battery and was 120V. Well my table saw bit the dust and I needed a new table saw so I decided to bite the bullet and buy this. I could not be happier. The smaller blade still does everything I need it to, for the most part I use my table saw for ripping down plywood, trimwork,flooring, and then sometimes dimensional lumber. This table does it all and does it well. If I didn't know that it was battery operated I would never have guessed. Also the fence is awesome and so accurate and easy to use. I built a box to attach this saw to my Paulk table so that it is an outfeed table and I'll never go back. If you're considering this table saw do it. My only complaint is the on/off button. When you turn it on, if you just let go of the red safety cover it will turn off the saw when it comes down. Its not a deal breaker but its annoying sometimes.

So far, [and I`ve only done a couple of jobs with it] I am very pleased with this saw. Not having a cord alone, is worth the money. It is quieter than an electric saw, not sure why. It is the same size as my 16" Dewalt saw but can handle 24". It is nice and portable with lots of power. I like all the little improvements from my previous model. With the vacuum hooked up, I can run this right inside a house when its raining outside. I couldn`t be happier.

This table saw just arrived yesterday. I read the instructions, assembled it and quickly tried it out so at this point this is just a preliminary review.

Overall it seem to be a good solid saw and most of the parts & features seem to be well designed and high quality. Even though much of this review is spent highlighting the shortcomings of this table saw, I want to be clear that overall I love this saw and I am happy with the purchase.

However, I noted a couple things that I don't like so much:
- There is only one miter slot which is on the left side of the blade. I didn't notice this in the pictures before buying it but this is disappointing because it is hard to build a crosscut sled for a table saw if it doesn't have a second miter slot.
- The miter gauge had a burr at both the front and back end of the slider that goes in the miter slot. If this was not removed it would end up scratching the inside of the miter slot. This was not a big deal because I was able to remove it in short order with a small file.
- The miter gauge is loose in the miter slot and makes quite a bit of noise when sliding it (even after the previously mentioned burrs were removed). I will probably try to either do something to take a bit of the play out of this or just upgrade it to another miter gauge that fits better.

These comments are related to the listed specifications:
- Depth of cut at 90 degrees: 2-1/2-Inch. I would rather pay a bit more and get a 10" table saw that could cut a full 3.5" so I could rip __ x 4 lumber without a bunch of monkey business like flipping it over and doing a second cut.
- Although I love the portability of a battery powered table saw, I would also like it if DeWalt would offer this with an AC adapter for those times when I'm doing a lot of cutting and I'm right beside an outlet.

DeWalt, if you read customer reviews (and you should), please make a higher end Flexvolt table saw without compromising on the specs just like you do with your DHS790AT2 miter saw. (i.e. 10" blade, AC adapter, two miter slots and a higher quality miter gauge).

In summary, would I recommend this to a friend?
I would recommend this to a friend but only to a friend who used a table saw enough to justify having 2 table saws. This one would be for portability when you don't have an outlet nearby or when you are doing a small job and don't want to start dragging out the extension cords. The other table saw would be one with better specifications so you could cut thicker material and have two miter slots and the ability to plug into an outlet for the bigger jobs.

Update:
When I wrote my initial review I had only used the saw a little bit. Now I have used longer I am noticing that very often it has trouble starting up. When I press the green power button it will start but when I let go of the power button it will stop. I think the saw must test the battery during the start up and if the battery isn't full enough it will stop upon releasing the power button. My theory is that that is to prevent you from starting a cut and having the battery die mid cut. The problem is that at best it can only use 1/2 the battery. The battery still has two lights on the fuel gauge and it won't start. In fact sometimes a fully charged 6.0 Ah or 9.0 Ah battery right off the charger will have trouble keeping the motor going after releasing the power button. If I hold the power button down for a few seconds (5 or 10 seconds) sometimes it will keep going after releasing the power button. The Dewalt service center said I will need to ship it to them to check it out. Hopefully this is not a design flaw and they can fix it. Because of this issue I am reducing my rating from 4 to 3 stars. I will update the review upon the repair being done.
