To restore the landscaping after some work was done to level the concrete slab for our backup power generator, I planted fresh sod around it. In order to ensure that the sod would thrive and take root, I bought and installed this small sprinkler on a rubber mat (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B3CZTXFZ) atop my generator. The mat prevents the sprinkler from slipping and from scratching the generator's top and remains in place even when the generator is running. The hose is connected to a watering timer that automatically turns on the water for an hour per day.
After just a few days of use, the sod is obviously thriving and has turned green. Once the sod has established its roots in the soil to keep itself moist, I'll be able to assign this sprinkler to another small job on my property.
