I have gone through so many nail clips and none do the job like this one. I have 2 GSD and 1 bully pit. The charge last and the different speeds work, I have never used the fastest speed because the slower speeds work. You can push the dogs nails and it won’t stop like other nail grinders. The clippers cut so easy that I don’t have to squeeze with both hands and my dog doesn’t even notice.

Got the GHG nail clipper/grider set for my 15 year old mostly deaf/limited sight Maltese who hated getting her nails clipped (inherited her from my parents). I have been playing with her nails & paws for weeks to desensitize them, but the 1st grinder (another brand) was too noisy, thicker around, & she wasn't having it. Previous clippers also were too difficult to see her nails while cutting, which traumatized me too! 🤤

The GHG clippers with grinder were a desperate last attempt. If she went to the groomers, she was worst; more scared, nippy & skittish. I feel like a commercial, but she didn't even mind these clippers so was able to shorten the length 1st. I then touched
the grinder to her paws gently (treats as she became calmer). Amazingly we did a paw a night, followed by lavish praise and treats. I left them a too long, but at least the grinder smoothed out the brittle part and she is not as apt to snag a nail on fabric, etc.

Very pleased. Nothing's perfect, but this works & the light does help, although still have to have more light to see the quick. My eyes are not real good closeup, but managing to keep her claws shorter and smoother with less stress.

Dew claws have gotten so thick & brittle as she ages so they are still difficult, but with the grinder, can get a little off & smooth out. Always believed in leaving the dew claws, but after being through elderly dogs getting them hung up on collars, fabrics, etc, I prefer removed as a puppy. Breeders tell me it's like a tiny sliver they just pull out when a day old. One yelp & it's over & they go back to nursing immediately. If you wait, it's major surgery or if left can grow curled into their leg as they get older, which can even maim them. Just food for thought. I have totally changed my opinion on this. 🐶🐾😊
