In total it took me (and my 12 year old) just over 2 hours to assemble. You need two people, if nothing else just to have someone hold up the sides while the other tightens. The directions are not the best, but if you have any experience putting together furniture, it’s pretty straight forward. I did use an impact driver (just be smart about over tightening plastic), as a hand screwdriver (as recommended) would have taken much longer and been much harder since some of the hole markings aren’t lined up perfectly.
I bought this to store our bikes and it works perfectly! Holds 4 teen/adult size bikes perfectly. Lid and door hinges operate smoothly. Latch is easy to use and space to add a lock is nice.
Overall, very happy with this purchase! Hope it holds up for years to come!

It arrived in good condition, no damage, all the parts were there.
1. The directions were accurate and easy to follow. I typically will have a sit down and read through assembly instructions at least once before I begin a project. If you follow the instructions in sequence you should be okay. I believe 2 hours is a reasonable estimate for a leisurely assembly time.
2. It's super important to have a solid, flat and level base before beginning. The instructions provide specs for the base. I made mine out of pavers and base sand. You'll also want to anchor the floor of the shed to the base. If you don't have a solid and flat base, you'll have problems later with warping and the doors and lid not aligning.
3. Remember that you're driving the screws into plastic resin and it's easy to over-torque and strip out the holes. I used a power screw driver to start the screws most of the way in then used a hand screw driver (Phillips #2) to finally tighten. Again, don't over tighten. Try a few screws in some random location just to get a feel for how hard to tighten them, and don't ask me for ft-lbs of torque :-|
4. If you notice minor warping of the lid, as I did, once you attach the truss leg to the lid, it'll flatten right out.
5. You'll need a friend to help with attaching the doors and lid. I was able to do it by myself but only because I'm somewhat narcissistic and don't have many friends.
6. The only constructive feedback I have for Suncast I have are:
a- The lid latch is made of plastic. Eventually this is going to break and not secure the lid when closed. Consider making this from metal. Please send me one when you make that change. :-)
b- The holes for attaching the metal hinge bars to the lid are in fact too small for the screws. I had to drill them out to 7/32. Don't use a drill bit larger than that as the holes are rather close to the edge.
I would buy this product again but I'd probably fashion my own lid latch out of metal.
My one complaint--the direction are terrible. I am the MASTER at putting things like this together. The manual with the directions is terrible. I always check and sort all the parts before starting to assemble. Large parts are very clearly labeled. Hardware, especially the nuts, are not. Because of how the manual is set up I had to keep flipping back and forth from the current step in the instructions to the drawings of the small parts. The worst drawings are for installing the door hinges and how to attach the hydraulic lifts for the roof. 3 days later and I still don't have the roof hinges attached!
Better technical drawings would have been greatly appreciated. There is one step that required me to remove something I had just fastened down in order to attach another piece. The two long metal bars for the roof support are very different looking, but in the drawings they look the same. This is technical drawing 101 level stuff--You have to provide instructions so it can be assembled it in the correct order. I have other Suncast storage units. Did NOT have the same challenges when assembling those. Other than the poor drawings on the instructions I would give it 5 stars for size, durability, ability to store 2 adult size bikes, value for the money. (Picture of drawings. Step 20 should have come before Steps 18 and 19 since those steps make it look like the hydraulic closer needs to be attached to the bracket first, then the bracket screwed into the container. The instructions all went downhill after step 13 in my opinion.)

After using it for a few weeks, I've now worked out how to fit 3 adult size bikes in here without taking wheels off.
