Daniel Trevor is a citizen scientist and serial entrepreneur who has created several start-up businesses, including a high-tech CTI (computer-telephony integration) company that grew to over 300 employees.

He also created and marketed anti-aging products and produced TV & Radio infomercials, hiring celebrities as spokespersons, as well as hosting some himself.

Daniel also spent time as a real estate investor and developer, a financial newsletter writer & analyst, as well as a professional day trader of precious metal mining and gas & oil stocks.

Stumbled across this book and cannot put it down. I'm a nurse of 40 years, some of this info I knew, and even more I didn't. This book is the best road map to taking control of your health/life. Realizing that big food, big pharma & big medicine are not only failing us, but are sabotaging us. The references are sound, many studies I'd never heard of because they've been repressed. Daniel gives a frank, honest, methodical education where each chapter preps you for what's coming next. He sets some foundational info and then goes deeper. Information is practical, logical and doable. Just start making changes. I've had book 3 weeks and convinced 4 other people (nurses) purchase, and recommended to many others. I've made changes & seeing great results, eating healthy and no cravings once I left the sugar monkey behind!! Highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to take control of their health & fitness.

THE MOST INFLUENTIAL, ACTIONABLE BOOK ON HEALTH, SCIENCE & NUTRITION.

If someone told you that you have been lied to about health, nutrition, food and the medical system your entire life you would gasp, laugh and just dismiss them. Stick with me here. I am a 25yr retired healthcare worker who after the past 2-4 years have become extremely skeptical, dissapointed and outright angry at the "MODERN SICK CARE SYSTEM". The last 2 years I have been on a quest to solve my own healthcare issues, found the help of "FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE" and have been on a terror for more knowledge on things like lab work, root cause medicine, what the proper human diet is and how it can rejuvenate, fix and even cure the human body. YES, cure disease (diabetes, cardio vascular diseases like HBP, inflammation, cancer, obesity, and many many more). BE SKEPTICAL BUT DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR and READ THIS BOOK. If you don't take action after reading it you're not human! I personally found this book 3 months after being on my own personal health crusade (with the help of a Functional Medicine Physician) I have fixed my 35 years of being on HBP medication, have completely come off all medications include cholesterol medication, have a true baseline for my metabolic health to work with. In my upper 50's I am only 8lbs from my high school weight through nutrition advice described in the book. Truly looking forward to my next set of labs and absolutely know my metabolic health (true measure of health) is getting better daily. Although my journey started well before I read this book & many others, I must say that this book was the most influential and actionable book on health, medical science and nutrition I have ever laid eyes on. EVERY PRACTITIONER, DOCTOR and medical professional should have this book on their nightstand if not in their office. Honestly I wish the author would donate cases and cases of his book, have them dropped off at the door steps of the CDC, WHO, FDA, EVERY BIG PHARMA COMPANY & BIG FOOD INDUSTRY AS WELL AS THE BIG AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY. I personally have purchase 3 of these books. One for my wife as my personal copy is highlighted, corners turned and scribbled in. I have purchased for my mother and father in-law and will probably purchase this book for every friend I know. This book truly may save your life. No hyperbole.

I will say this: I have begin implementing suggestions from Mr. Trevor. My 6 qt Insta Pot arrived yesterday and I have on order inulin and the Bio G item he suggested to make the yogurt. Though I hate nuts I am going to try the non-grain granola recipe that he shared.

As a member of the Proper Human Diet bunch over at Dr. Berry's online site I have been skipping much of the explanations of how we got into this mess because we discuss it all the time over there and via live meetings. But I dove right into his experience and what I need to do to avoid the "Unholy Trinity". I appreciated reading his experience as it bolstered my resolve to handle my business upright.

Oh, I also purchased hibiscus tea via a local grocer and a bunch on Amazon as I will be incorporating that into my daily nutritional intake.

The book is over 400 pages and between skipping what I already know I am about half way through. I am definitely looking forward to completing this book and keeping in my library. There is orange highlighing all through because there are SO many points that I want my attention to be focused on and easy to look up going forward.

Thankfully a Coach over at Dr. Berry's PHD group suggested this book for discussion. I couldn't wait for them, I had to get started as soon as it arrived; and I did. Somehow this book needs to be widely advertised (IMHO). Oh, I know, I will write about it on my blog. Too bad I'm not popular; but perhaps every bit helps, huh!

Buy it, read it, enjoy, rescue your health if you need to as I do.

Great book, read it in less than a week. Confirmed that the FDA credibility is negative 1000. You have to take responsibility for your own health. I've gone through doing deep dives into so many different diets, etc and I always come back to "eat like our ancestors did". Reminds me of occums razor, just eat like we did for hundreds of thousands of years. Highly recommend this book if you want to feel better. I'm moving my diet over to carnivore and keto more and more and my blood tests have greatly improved. I also feel better and have a lot more energy.

I’ve read many books on metabolic health. I appreciate this author’s clarity on medical terms, and the comprehensive nature of the book. He is an unbiased researcher with copious footnotes to back up his research. I highly recommend this book if you are trying to get rid of insulin resistance, have questions about your doctor’s advice, or you feel substandard physically and want to know how to change things. It’s a long book, but very readable and engaging.

This is a an excellent, well researched, fully referenced book written by a non-medical author who had suffered a heart attack. The result of his heart attack was this book which is an absolute goldmine of information with regards to regaining, maintaining and improving your health.

As the title of this review alludes to, this book is a must read for anyone serious about being healthy and enjoying a good quality of life right into old age. Highly recommended.

Perhaps it will be rectified in an update. There are lots of reference numbers referring to research to back up statements made in the book. Problem is I could not find the relevant research the numbers referred to in the kindle edition of the book. This is VIP for the sake of credibility and for someone to check out some of these statements. An Example of this is the following
"Some hunter-gatherer societies got more than 85 percent of their calories from meat or fish, and some got 100 percent from those sources. Some got about two-thirds from animal foods and one-third from plants.169 on Page 58 of the Kindle edition. The problem is there is no way of tracing the reference number "169". This leads to a serious credibility issue.
I reached out to Trevor and was told the references are in a separate document ion his website. And yes, it is there. Trvor said this was the case because the book would be too large otherwise. I accepted his explanation.
In conclusion it is a great book.
