Product Description
The Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Set Booster Box contains 30 Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Set Boosters. Each Set Booster contains 12 Magic cards, 1 Art Card (includes a D&D monster stat block on the back in 33% of packs), and 1 token, ad card, or special card from Magic's history (a card from "The List"). Each pack contains a combination of 1–4 Rares or Mythic Rares, 7–10 Uncommons and Commons (maximum of 7 may be Uncommon), and 1 Land card. One non–Art Card and non–Land card of any rarity is a traditional foil. A foil-stamped Signature Art Card replaces the Art Card in 5% of Set Boosters. A card from The List replaces the token or ad card in 25% of Set Boosters.
From the manufacturer
Magic Joins the Party
Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons have partied up for a card set made in nerd heaven.
Delve into dungeons. Fill your battlefield with dragons. Cast iconic spells like Wish and Power Word Kill. Fight alongside the famous Drizzt Do’Urden or sign a contract with the infamous archfiend, Asmodeus.
Full of beloved D&D characters, monsters, and magic items—explore the storied D&D world of the Forgotten Realms in the deepest strategy card game there is.
Alt-Art Borderless Dragons
What’s Dungeons & Dragons without dragons? There's something special for every dragon in Adventures in the Forgotten Realms.
Whether it’s a sly green dragon, the legendary white dragon, Icingdeath, or Tiamat, the queen of evil dragons herself—every dragon card in the main set can be found with either regular or borderless art.
Bursting from their frames, borderless cards feature alternate art that fills the card, giving each dragon room to spread their wings and unleash their fearsome breath weapon.
Just hope it’s not on you.
Showcase Cards That Celebrate D&D History
Adventures in the Forgotten Realms also introduces two showcase card styles full of old-school D&D—Rulebook cards and Module lands.
Classic Monster Manual-Style Art
Beholders, owlbears, gelatinous cubes, and even the dreaded Tarrasque—collect Rulebook cards featuring the most beloved and feared monsters in Dungeons & Dragons with special alternate-art drawn in the style of classic D&D monster manuals.
Adventure Module-Style Lands
Packs may also include showcase land cards styled after D&D adventure module covers from the late ’70s and early ’80s. With bold, colorful alternate art—and guidance on appropriate character level—go on a Forgotten Realms adventure with a Rare, Uncommon, or Common Module land.
Venture into the Dungeon
Explore famous dungeons in search of treasure and glory. Adventures in the Forgotten Realms introduces a dungeon-delving keyword and three dungeons that seasoned D&D adventurers may recognize—Tomb of Annihilation, Dungeon of the Mad Mage, and Lost Mine of Phandelver.
When a card tells you to “venture into the dungeon,” you’ll use a special Dungeon card to mark your path. Choose which room to explore next, triggering that room’s effect as you enter.
Do you step into the Goblin Lair to create a 1/1 red Goblin creature token? Or explore the mine tunnels to create a Treasure token? Not only will you get perks for exploring, but some cards have abilities that reward your dungeon crawls.
Flavorful Card Abilities
Buff a creature with Bardic Inspiration. Gain life with a cleric’s Cure Wounds ability. Lend a helping hand with Clever Conjurer’s Mage Hand. Or leverage the Grim Wanderer’s Tragic Backstory to bring him onto the battlefield after a creature dies.
Play Magic: The Gathering with cards full of playful references and flavorful Dungeons & Dragons-inspired abilities.

There are a few cards in here that I was really hoping to get and I got them all in a few boxes of purchases. All of course except for Tiamat. Not even one version of her in three boxes. What the heck Wiz... sheesh. But the cards over all are still darn cool and getting one of the sets of all special cards was worth the money as well. Does my nerdy heart good to have a set of magic that is D&D based. To bad I don't have anyone left to play with.
I bought the box for myself and two friends to open and be all giddy about because two of our passions slapped together, why not? The box was unassumingly together, the packs looked properly sealed.
Fun cards, great art, so many new deck theme ideas. Christmas in July Yada Yada. Don't get me wrong I love this set even if it won't be big brain meta changing compared to some.
But it felt weird how few rare/mythic cards we pulled altogether... so we counted. Statistically, if an assured 1 per pack is true, I shouldn't stop counting at 25. Bit of a womp to find that somewhere most of the packs were dry.
I got in touch with a representative and they assured a fix, so let's see if the second verse is the same as the first. This time with a little closer inspection before and during pack cracking.
------ Edit------
The second set booster box came in a MUCH different packing. The shipping mailer was the standard Amazon plastic bag vs a flat rate mailer bag-looking bit, the cling wrap around the box had the WoTC logo whereas the first did not, and the packs overall -felt- more together. ((This is a hard thing to describe unless you know what it feels like))
No blemishes on the packing/box/packs, all the cards are counted and accounted for ((not missing a number of the more desirable cards like the first purchase))... definitely just unlucky to have gotten a tampered box the first time around. Overall up to a 4, from a 2, mostly because of the original blemish. Otherwise it's nice to be able to buy boxes when living in a place you cannot find them within a two hour drive with ((relative)) peace of mind.
Cards arrived still sealed and no visible damage to the box itself. I enjoyed the artwork and the collab of Magic the Gathering with Dungeons and Dragons. Might buy another box if I catch it on sale, don't tell my wife...
I got cards like Old Gnawbones and the Demonic Tutor list card, so the packs seemed fine.
