We have a vintage motor home that we’ve been restoring, and I wanted a stereo system that sounded fantastic - but space is very limited. There’s little wall space due to cabinets, appliances, and windows, plus there’s hardly any floor space that you can fit a big box like most subwoofers. I found the perfect small speakers to mount all along the walls of the living area and kitchen, but most subwoofers are too big. I had to keep it small as possible with no dimension being over 12”. That’s nearly impossible with a good-sounding sub. I started with another brand sub, just a little smaller than this one. It sounded great and fit in well, but had terrible quality issues that I won’t go into here. Then I found this one, and for the price I wondered if it would be any better.
It came yesterday, and I first noticed that it was heavier than I expected - much heavier than the competitor’s sub that I had to return. I took it out to the RV and had it working with the sound I wanted within a few minutes. Wow, it fit in the space perfectly, and sounds amazing with my system. It’s got plenty of low end for me, without maxing it out. It’s definitely a keeper.
Is it enough low end for some of you who blast music and movies in a large room, and want to rattle the neighbors’ dishes? NO it is not, so don’t read that into what I’m saying. If you like to listen to music or watch TV in a small room or RV at levels that you’d be able to hear somebody next to you if they said something, then this little sub will have more low end than you’ll ever use. The hook up is simple as can be, and the quality seems to be outstanding - we’ll see how it lasts, and I’ll update here if it proves otherwise long term.

If you can snatch these on sale then it's a no-brainer. Nicely built, albeit very small speakers but lacking in bass. Using these for music mostly and some videos. Build quality is excellent, no flaws. The matte black finish is oddly prone to finger prints and smudges. The whole bottom of the speakers are covered in a rubber type anti skid material that works perfectly. No need to add little rubber feet to keep them from sliding around. Sound is pretty darn good. Highs are very crisp and airy almost fatiguing but not quite. Not toeing them in directly at you will help. Mids are present and punchy. Bass is lacking, but its physics folks. A woofer this size can only move so much air. You can coax some pretty good bass out of these by introducing equalization and boosting the lower frequencies, or just add the matching subwoofer. Center imaging and sound stage are good and instrument clarity is excellent. Dialogue on videos and pod casts are crystal clear. All the cabling that came with the speakers were pretty cheesy so I used my own. I would not recommend these speakers by themselves, unless you know how to implement equalization to coax the bass out. But I would recommend them with the matching subwoofer.
The subwoofer is also very well built and puts out adequate bass. Not room shaking, but adequate. Bass is punchy and not boomy, and no port chuffing is audible even with volume maxed. The sub compliments the speakers well.
I would have liked to have some tone controls on the speaker itself, and not on the back of the speaker either.
