About the author
Adam Sawyer is an outdoor and travel writer, photographer, published author, guide, and public speaker based in the Northwest. Locally, he has written stories for the Oregonian, Willamette Week, Portland Mercury, Edible Seattle, and Portland Monthly. In addition to online writing for Men's Journal, Travel Oregon, Eater, and Visit Tillamook Coast, his work has appeared in numerous publications including Northwest Travel & Life, 1859, 1889, Alaska Beyond, Journey AAA, Sip Northwest, Backpacker, British Columbia, Canoe & Kayak, and Bend Magazines. He is the author of the guidebooks Hiking Waterfalls in Oregon, Best Outdoor Adventures Near Portland, 25 Hikes on Oregon’s Tillamook Coast, Unique Eats and Eateries: Portland, Oregon, Best Easy Day Hikes Salem and Eugene, and Urban Hikes Oregon. Adam also co-authored the guidebook Hiking Waterfalls in Washington.
As a Brand Ambassador, he has represented Terminal Gravity Brewing, KEEN Footwear, Mountain House, and the Tillamook Creamery. Adam is also a regular guest on the Portland television show, Afternoon Live, as an outdoor and travel expert. As a professional guide, he has over a decade of experience giving culinary, cultural, and outdoors-themed tours for a number of respected companies including Evergreen Escapes, Eat Adventure Food Tours, and UnCruise.
