So, this product is definitely solid and well-constructed. It looks sleek and cool. But. I will be honest and admit it has disappointed me. The product information said that it could hold up to a 17" laptop. But sadly, it cannot handle my 17" laptop...without toppling over. If you look at the first photo I attached here, you'll see that I had to weight it down with books to keep it upright. Therefore, I cannot use it for my main work laptop. Also, a side note, when I typed on my laptop keyboard, the standing desk swayed and bounced so that's not good either.That all said, see the second photo I attached here. I do all my Zoom meetings on a second smaller 13" Macbook Air. And it is great for that. So, while I bought it for another use, I'll likely keep it for it's new function.

After searching through many review, sites and alternatives on Amazon, I ordered this and have generally been happy with it for the past few weeks worth of daily use. As others have mentioned, it is hard to adjust and takes some strength to manipulate the position and height. Also, the description is deceptive, the actual maximum height of the entire stand when the computer is level is 13”, not 21”. This is a significant difference depending on your height / eye level. I think the manufacturer included the width of the laptop platform as well in this height measurement. Other than the laptop stand being heavy and difficult to reposition, there have been times in which the stand is wobbly, and my laptop can tip over depending on exactly how the platform is positioned relative to the base. Overall, it’s a fine stand, but expensive for what you get.

Before the pandemic I would be hired to work in other cities for months at a time. This always posed a challenge with having good ergonomic "hygiene" since I was stuck with whatever desk, chair, corner the company would put me in. Over the years I have bought several different laptop stands that would travel with me, always on the lookout for a hero. Many were too cumbersome to travel with or had a limited range, or were too flimsy, or just somehow really dramatic to set up when my business M.O. is to be stealth, sleek and integrate seamlessly. This is the first laptop stand I've found that is incredibly sturdy (I don't mind its stiffness, that ensures it holds whatever position I put it in), it's got a huge range of possible positions and angles, and it folds up flat and relatively small so it's easy to travel with. Since I've had it, I've had to reclaim it back from several people who've tried it out, "Hey! Can I get my laptop stand back?" including my husband who seems to become very preoccupied with something else before he surreptitiously walks out the door with it.

Exactly as described: protects back and neck by raising laptop screen to eye level, and clears the clutter from my desk since I’m no longer setting it on a stack of book and there’s room to place a keyboard underneath it – the base is only about a quarter inch think so a keyboard with feet will sit right above it. I’ve seen comments that it is a little stiff to raise and that is true. But I think it’s a plus in terms of durability and I unless you change the laptop height constantly it won’t be a problem. Very happy with this purchase.
