Finally You

Finally You (Luna Harbor #1) is a fresh and fantastic way to start out this series. Manlik and Nydia have the best kind of love hate relationship and these enemies to lovers captured my heart. They were childhood sweethearts and due to misunderstandings and miscommunication, their relationship ended. There was no closure and this created a lot of hurt and hostility between them. It’s obvious they’re still holding onto their pain however, it’s also obvious that their feelings for each other never waned or died. I could feel their emotions, the sexual tension and their love. Nydia appealed to me with her hardworking (she owns a lavender farm and creates lavender products which I absolutely love), sweet nature yet she’s tough and sassy with a little bit of a stubborn streak. Mane, the sexy and successful drummer for Too Far From Grace is stubborn as well (considering he and Nydia have that streak, the push and pull aspect between them was on fire) and an unassuming romantic. And reading about them rekindling their love made me swoon and left a lasting smile on my face. Claudia Burgoa not only created a beautiful and heartfelt story with Mane and Nydia but the excellent cast of secondary characters (the Too Far From Grace band and the Cantu family) are heavy with kinship, family banter and witty comebacks. This really adds a lot to the well written storyline and makes it quite entertaining. I adore everything about Finally You, it’s a must read and I’m definitely looking forward to reading the series.

4.5 Beautiful Second Chance at Love Stars! This second chance, enemies to lovers romance is a great start to The Luna Harbor series! After meeting these fun and swoony, Too Far from Grace, band members in Burgoa's Baker’s Creek series, I couldn't wait to read more about them. Manelik (Mane) Cantú and Nydia Vega-Knapp became best friends as kids and each others first in everything, including love, as teenagers. They promised to be together and love each other forever. But something happened that tore them apart and broke both their hearts. Nydia wanted to leave Luna Harbor but is back and struggling to make a success of her family farm while creating lavender items for her business. When a stranger comes to town and makes her an offer to rent her farm house, she can't turn it down knowing it will help her financially. What she didn't know is that the only man she ever loved, and now tries to hate, will be one of the people staying in her home. Mane is back in Luna Harbor, along with his siblings, to help his grandfather run his businesses while he is ill. Mane tried to move on after things ended with Nydia, but now that they are close again, his heart wants to make things right, and claim her as his again. Nydia is not making it easy, finding it hard to open up about tragic events she keeps secret so she can heal, secrets and truths that may tear them apart for good. It was so much fun, getting to know Mane, Nydia, the Too Far From Grace band members and the rest of the Cantu siblings. They are all charming, cheeky, intriguing, and sexy. They may play tricks on each other but they are loyal, loving and supportive. My heart broke for Nydia and the struggles she went through, but she is so strong and resilient. Mane is lost a bit, trying to find his place in town, but Nydia gives him purpose and causes him to be the protective, loving man he was always meant to be. This tale of loyalty and betrayal, of love and heartbreak, and ultimately of hope and healing, made me feel so many emotions so deeply. I loved every moment of this beautiful, raw and emotional journey.

I absolutely loved Finally You by Claudia Burgoa; it is an incredible second chance at first love story. It is the first book in her new Luna Harbor series. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Claudia Burgoa showed that she is an amazing storyteller and has once again provided her readers with amazing characters. I love all the characters in Finally You, they feel like family! Finally You is an incredible love story, that is filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions and I could not put it down, and I loved every moment on every page. Who doesn't love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families and friends, who always support one another? I really enjoy how the book is told in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Finally You is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that I have come to love and expect in a love story, Claudia Burgoa did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Finally You is about childhood best friends, and secret first loves, Manelick “Mane” Cantu, drummer for Too Far From Grace and Nydia Vega-Knapp, owner of Lavender Moon Farms. Mane returns to Luna Harbor for the first time in eleven years after leaving for college and a music career to help out with the family’s businesses while his grandfather is receiving treatment for cancer. Mane’s manager’s makes arrangements for Mane and the band to live in Nydia’s grandparents’ home while they are in Luna Harbor. Mane and Nydia have not seen each other in eleven years. Nydia’s life has changed since she has last seen Mane, but she is unwilling to reveal the secrets of his past to Mane. Neither Mane nor Nydia knows what happened to end their relationship. Nydia tries to avoid Mane, but he keeps showing up. He wants answers as to what happened between the two of them. I love when both Mane and Nydia get real with their true feelings for one another and how Nydia opens up to Mane in the emotionally charged, gut wrenching dialogue that transpires between the two of them. I love how Nydia discloses things to Mane that she has never shared before, and I was surprised by what she revealed. It was truly heartbreaking. I love all the changes that Mane made in Nydia’s life, from her home, her business and her health. I love all the changes that Nydia made in her life to have a life with Mane. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Finally You, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Cantu siblings especially their teasing that made me laugh. I loved all the characters in Finally You and I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Who doesn’t love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I loved catching up with the characters in Maybe You, it felt like a family reunion. I thoroughly enjoyed Finally You, who doesn’t love a second chance at first love story? Highly recommend this incredible love story and am so looking forward to reading the other books in the series.
