The 1INCH altcoin is an Ethereum based token and the native cryptocurrency that powers the 1inch decentralised exchange. The exchange is a DEX aggregator that aims to offer favourable rates on crypto trading by aggregating token prices across various decentralised exchanges to find the cheapest prices available for its users. 1inch was founded in 2019 by Sergej Kunz and Anton Bukov and went on to raise around $15mn from several investors, including Binance Labs and Pantera Capital. As of June 2021, the 1inch exchange was trading around $350mn a day and offering users access to more than 50 liquidity sources on Ethereum, and 20 on Binance Smart Chain. There is a total supply of 1.5bn 1INCH tokens. It is a governance token so holders of 1INCH altcoins have voting rights when it comes to the way that the 1inch platform is run.
