I don't know why I am always surprised when I start reading one of Nana Malone books and get so caught up that I can't stop. I really, really like East. I think he has become my favorite Lord. He was great at building up the sexual tension. Reading about how he and Nyla kept clashing was pretty awesome. I thought I would be able to take sides, you know, root for either East or Nyla, but that didn't work. I just wanted them to work. Their sarcasm was on point. Nyla was a tough, strong, independent, intelligent, and irritating, all at the same time sometimes, lol. I enjoyed their banter. Trying to see who would one up the other one was suspenseful, tension filled? Maybe suspenseful. The scene at the silent auction made me think that East was off his game. But, then I realized, not as much as I thought he was. There is so much I liked about this book, so much I want to say, but I don't want to give anything away. Once again, some of the Winston Isles gang make an appearance, and the book also ends with a cliffhanger. All I could think was "where do East and Nyla go from here?" This book was romantic, steamy, witty, action packed, suspenseful, full of intrigue, and kind of funny. I also liked the loyalty, friendships, and family ties. I guess I am just stuck waiting for the next book. I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

The first thing you need to know is that this isn't a standalone book, so don't be surprised when you don't get a nice clean HEA. It is book 1 of a trilogy and if the previous sets from this author are anything to go by, it's going to be well worth the commitment. The trilogy can be read as a standalone set, but you will enjoy it more if you've read the previous See No Evil trilogy to give you a bit of background into the characters. This starts exactly where that finishes, so it's action right from the start. As usual with this author, the characters are wonderful and East makes a very satisfying leading man. In what the world is going through in 2020, I think we all need a little bit of Nana Malone magic. Can't wait for book 2.

More hijinks from the London Lords! One of the best things Nana Malone does is build families. Not families of blood, but families of friends. The relationships between the different characters are wonderful. We could only hope in real life we have a tribe like the ones she writes about. When reading her books, I feel like I'm right there watching it happen. It's a great talent. East End carries on some of the loose ends from the last trilogy. It picks up right away and has plenty of action. It's a bit slower paced as we are learning a whole new set of characters and twists. The first book set the stage for more to come. I'm already waiting anxiously for the next installment. I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving a review. Come on Nana Malone, write faster!!!!! =)
