Glass Sealant water resistance

Prepare Glass for Coating

Make sure glass is clean prior to application by using a glass cleaner such as nextzett Windscreen Clear. For removal of stubborn grime or hard water spots and for best adhesion, clean surface with einszett Glaspolish.

Application

  • Pour a thin layer of Glass Sealant onto glass or mirrors (DO NOT apply on plastic) using an applicator.
  • Allow application to dry to a haze (no more than a few minutes) and buff off with a clean, microfiber towel.
  • If any haze remains, spray surface with water and buff off with a clean microfiber towel.

No Cure Time

Glass Sealant doesn't have a cure time and is ready immediately.

Use on all glass surfaces including shower doors, house windows, bathroom mirrors and more!

    Easy application after cleaning the glass and wiper properly. I used a foam block wrapped in suede cloth and followed instructions on bottle. Produces good beading when raining. Will update the review after testing for durability.

    4 week update: The performance has degraded somewhat after about 4 weeks. After immediate application, water was running off at 30 mph but now it starts running off at about 45 mph. Still works well for highway driving but have to use the wipers when driving on slower roads. I might apply 2 coats next time to see if the longevity improves. YMMV.

    I have used many different window coatings. I used rainx, piaa, glaco, ceramic coatings and all. But this is the one i like the most. Its easy to install and easy to clean. It lasts longer than rainx and more hydrophobic than rainx.

    After coating my windows last month, it has rained several times. I've noticed that the water resistance and sheeting is about the same as RainX but the resistance is lasting a lot longer. I maintain the windows with glass cleaner but otherwise, I haven't used any other sealants on them. I'm definitely sold on this glass sealer!
