The older ram is quite old, made in 2017, but it's also team group (nighthawk) and has the same xmp specs. This Vulcan ram is single rank dies just like the nighthawk is. I'm still kinda surprised this worked out for me, but it's cool it can work!

If you want to run this particular ram on older hardware make sure:
-This ram is on the Qualified Vendor List for *both* your motherboard AND CPU
-You have the most recent bios update for your motherboard
-You have the correct XMP profile selected in your BIOS
Most hardware has been updated to run these correctly, but if any of these aren't correct you may not get the advertised speed which is not the fault of this product. Bad RAM modules happen sometimes and that's what warranties are for, but because most are designed to work with a wide range of setups and with so many variables between each individual system it's unreasonable to expect a manufacturer to know what your specific system is running. You're responsible for knowing what you have so if you want it to work you have to do your research and make sure you're buying what you actually need.
These RAM modules are an excellent value for the performance you get and look pretty sleek as well. I've used these almost exclusively in three different setups I've built over the last year and a half and they work brilliantly.

- CL 16
- RAS 18
- Cycle Time 38
- Bank Cycle Time 56
- Command Rate 1T
