The Monitor also features a KVM (Keyboard, Video, and Mouse) switch. I have my work and gaming laptop connected to the monitor at the same time. My wireless keyboard and mouse dongle is connected to one of the Monitor's USB ports. I can quickly switch back and forth between my gaming and work laptops with a single touch of the KVM switch on the back of the monitor. Works flawlessly, and its extremely convenient.
As an IPG panel monitor, it has a proper RGB sub-pixel layer. Text is sharp and crisp, or as sharp and as crisp as they can be on a 32" 2K display. The pixel density is equivalent to a 24" 1080P display. Some may prefer smaller pixels (27--28" screen size), but I prefer the 32" size for more immersive gaming. I don't mind the slight pixelation of small text. 2K is also sufficient for split screen work and I've had no issues adjusting to it. I had previously used a 4K60Hz display, and though I still prefer 4K for productivity, the loss of resolution has not reduced my work experience, while it has actually improved gaming.
Though the display is not listed a G-Sync compatible, I am able to use G-Sync over DisplayPort. It works fine without any issues. It's been tested by Rtings dot com to be G-Sync compatible to below 20Hz. At very low frame rates, screen flickering will occur, but I have a 140W Laptop RTX 3070 which is more than enough to run all games in 2K at the highest setting without ever dipping below the display's G-Sync refresh rate minimum.
One of the best features of this display is the extremely low levels of motion blur, ghosting, and overshoot. I ran the UFO tests. It's very responsive display. The smoothness, and crispness is noticeable when gaming as well. It's smoother than my laptops display (Alienware M15 R4 with 144Hz 3ms FHD Advanced Optimus G-Sync Display). It also is far superior to it in color gamut, brightness, and contrast. It's only disadvantage is its performance with G-Sync as the G-Sync internal display does not flicker down to 1hz unlike the M32Q. That said, under normal gaming conditions, if your GPU is capable enough, (desktop or laptop 3060 or higher), you will not see frame dips low enough while gaming for flickering to occur.
IPS displays do not have the same low black level as VA displays, so if you are used to console gaming on a mid to high tier OLED or VA HDTV, you will notice that black levels are not as dark on this display than they are on the higher contrast panels. That's the limitation of IPS technology, unfortunately. Given that, the display shines in other ways that more than compensate for this limitation. It has a decently wide color gamut and gets decent SDR brightness. It's HDR capability, however, is a little lacking. Some content looks great, but the panel seems to have a slightly high lowest level of brightness in HDR mode which means that some HDR content, such as dark content uploaded by semi-professional Youtubers, may seem too dim on this display. Some scenes will lose detail in dark areas of the screen (black crush). On the other hand, despite its low brightness (only HDR400 certified), bright specular highlights are noticeably brighter than SDR, and some HDR content does look "nice" on the display. It's hit or miss, but given the price of the display, especially its sale price, I am satisfied. I would have paid a bit more for HDR600, but alas, they don't sell one at a decent price point.
There is another limitation of the Monitor. I specifically wanted a Monitor with a DisplayPort 1.4 port. Though this Monitor is advertised here as having DP 1.4, Gigabyte's website lists it as DisplayPort 1.2. The user manual lists both 1.2 and 1.4 on different pages!! Regardless, it has features of DP 1.4 such as HDR compatibility. My laptop detects it as HDR capable, and HDR capable games offer me the option to switch to HDR mode. There is one caveat. True 10 Bit HDR is only available at full 2560 x 1440 resolution at 120Hz or lower. If you set the resolution to 144Hz, 165Hz or 170Hz with overdrive, colors are reduced to 8 Bit with dithering. Dithering is a technique to use noise (film grain-like effect) to reduce the appearance of color banding. Personally, I tried to detect the difference between HDR content at 10 bits and at 8 bits with dithering, and I couldn't tell. That said, when I am playing a game that will not exceed 120 FPS at ultra settings, I switch the monitor's refresh rate to 120Hz. When I need to use 165--170Hz for eSports titles, I'll switch back the higher refresh rate. I don't know if there even are any HDR capable eSports titles, but if they're not available now, they will be eventually.
If you have a FreeSync or G-Sync GPU and are looking for a mid-priced gaming/productivity laptop, strongly consider the M32Q. If you have a desktop with an RTX 3080 or Radeon 6800 XT or greater, and you can afford it, consider the 4K 144Hz M32U. In my case, my GPU really can't handle 4K in high/ultra settings with newer titles, and I find that I strongly prefer a higher frame rate at 2K to 4K with a lower frame rate. Also, right now, the M32Q is selling for less than half the price of the M32U. You can buy 2 for less than the price of one M32U. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

I've been in depths of monitor research for the past couple of weeks. I have a 2021 MacBook Pro M1 13" that I use in clamshell mode with a dock, as well as a Xbox Series X. After many headaches and banging my head on the wall I finally settled on the M32Q. I'd describe myself as the average user for monitor needs (a little work, web browsing, and some gaming on the weekends). I'm coming from a 1080p 34" 60hz curved ultra-wide VA panel monitor which worked just fine for my MacBook Pro M1, but didn't work with my Xbox Series X due to the lack of ultra-wide support. I was using a 4k Vizio TV (obviously 60hz) for the Xbox but wanted to have an "all in one" station.
I like having a large monitor and 32" is the largest you can get with a 16:9 aspect ratio (supported by consoles). In my research, I discovered that the Macs have a hard time with your typical 27" - 32" 4k display due to display scaling issues, so I would have had to purchase a 5k display to get into the ideal 220 PPI range for Macs, which costs $1,000+. Macs also work fine with 120 PPI (or below). Unfortunately that middle range on 4k monitors just isn't supported that well. 1440p has always been the best of both worlds between 4k and 1080p, plus you get a higher refresh rate for a decent price. The M32Q comes in right around 93 PPI, which compared to my 4k 43" Vizio TV I used for gaming wasn't that far off for pixel density...
I received my M32Q which was nicely packaged and well protected. Although I have it on a vesa mount, the stand felt hefty and of good quality. I got everything hooked up and connected my computer and Xbox.
My Mac recognized the display without issue and it is displaying at full 1440p with the 144hz refresh rate, right out of the box. No dead pixels and no bleeding sections or corners! Text looks just fine to me and there is no noticeable red/green outline around the text. Keep in mind, I sit about 2 - 2.5 feet away from the monitor. The brightness is great and everything is adjustable from the easy to use joystick controlled menu. For what I'm doing with my Mac and for work, I couldn't be more pleased!
Then I hooked up my Xbox. I went into display settings and changed it to 1440p at 120hz and everything was recognized without issue. Gaming was a true joy. Everything was so fluid and I wish I had gotten a high refresh rate display sooner!
I'm not really utilizing the KVM features but might in the future...
All in all, this is a really great monitor and I'm incredibly happy with it. You'll see some mixed reviews on here about various quality issues which may be valid (maybe I won the panel lottery). In my opinion, there's a little nitpicking going on too in these reviews. I think if you unbox a monitor and start looking for issues, you will find them. I'm just your average user that appreciates an all around good large display with good colors and a high refresh rate for the weekend Halo gaming sessions. And for that, it works perfect. Plus, you can't beat the price.
Final thoughts... I think this is a good product and I'd recommend it for the average user. The 27" monitor I'm sure looks even better with the larger pixel density, but if you like large monitors, this is a great choice. This has plenty of features and doesn't look obnoxious (no RGB or a crazy plastic back panel like the Samsung Odyssey). Work and play, this monitor does it all, and it does it well.
