Hey there, coffee lovers! If you're on the hunt for a reliable and affordable coffee scale, I highly recommend the one I've been using. I got this scale for espresso making, but it also works great for pour over. Here's what I like about it:

First off, this scale is super small and thin, which makes it easy to store and transport. Plus, it has a physical button instead of a touch button, which is a big plus for me. I find physical buttons more reliable and they give me solid feedback. You know when you've pressed it, which is not always the case with touch buttons.

Another thing I love about this scale is how fast it responds to weight changes and how stable it is. I've had scales in the past that would give me two different readings for the same thing, which was frustrating. But this one is consistent and accurate every single time.

And let's not forget the price! This scale is super affordable, which makes it accessible to a wide range of coffee enthusiasts. So if you're thinking about getting a coffee scale, just go for it. Don't overthink it. This one is small, reliable, and won't break the bank.

Overall, I highly recommend this coffee scale. It's perfect for anyone who wants to make a great cup of coffee at home without spending a fortune on equipment. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

This thing is tiny, just large enough to hold a cup or a tray of beans. Good size.
I have other kitchen scales that rest on rubber feet, so all 4 of the feet on those scales need to be on a level surface for it to read accurately. Not so easy if you're sticking the scale on your espresso machine's drip tray. This scale has a flat bottom, no feet that have to be in firm equal contact, so you can use it on an irregular surface- like your drip tray.
It is backlit! Turn it on, the display is very clear, high contrast, brightly and automatically backlit, numbers and letters are large. Readability 10/10. That's a super plus when you're pulling that early morning shot or brewing that cup in a dark kitchen and you're half asleep.
Reads ounces or grams, to a decimal point. Easy to switch between each with a single button press. Max capacity is 1kg.
Timer button works as required. Press it, it flashes once then starts to measure to the 10th of a second. Hit the button again and it stops and displays the time, hit it again and it re-sets to zero. There is not a pause/ resume function capability in my observation.
Tare function sets to zero very quickly.
It is, IMHO, very cool looking. Understated, modern.
I have a 100 gram calibrating weight used to check the accuracy of scales. It shows exactly 100 grams with this scale, so it is accurate to at least a half a tenth (0.05). That's pretty good, that's less than one coffee bean. According to the included instruction sheet you can re-calibrate it if needed, there is a procedure listed but it references a chart that was not included so that part is not clear. But, a non-issue I think, I use digital scales for a living in heavy use environments (professional kitchens), I've never needed to re-calibrate any of them.
So, for the cost that this thing is currently selling for, if you have even an inkling that you want to measure and dial in your coffee brewing/ espresso making thing, get one and do it. What's your goal? 18.5 grams of coffee for 30 seconds to a final shot weight of 35 grams? Whatever it is this device gets you there.
We live in a marvelous time, where high quality tools like this are available so inexpensively.

I have a Gaggic Classic Pro, and the tray is not too big, so this small scale is perfect for that. This is my third scale, and the previous ones had tactile buttons, which sometimes fail. This is crucial when measuring espresso time, because you have to press the machine button and the scale time button at the same time, and having a physical button gives you a tactile confirmation that the button was pressed. I love this scale and highly recommend it for espresso brewing. It is also big enough so that the portafilter fits in it too.

This is a good little scale. It fits under my Gaggia Classic with a slightly short & squat Asian tea cup used as an espresso shot glass. The screen is well-lit and easy to read. The removable lid turned sideways and placed on top of the scale makes a good platform to weigh an entire portafilter & handle for dosing. The auto-off timeout is plenty long enough to tare out the weight of portafilter & funnel, grind, and weigh the dose in the filter.

    Downsides:
Battery life might be a little low. I've been using it for about two weeks, and the battery meter has dropped to the last bar. Granted, that's with the included no-brand free batteries, so might do better w/ higher quality batteries.

Coffee grounds can get into the buttons, and they're hard to shake out. I can feel them *crunching* under some of the buttons. Occasionally this makes the timer start button not register, and I've missed some shot times as a result. I've found that pushing the start button and waiting for the screen to blink once to indicate it's started, THEN starting the espresso machine ensures the clock is running before water hits grounds with less than a second lost in terms of timing.

Good value for money! Works as intended, very accurate, very fast, almost instant display, timer is a great plus, especially for beginners! The removable cover is also a nice feature to have. Perfect size to be used on the drip tray of my Breville Infuser BES840 to monitor extraction. If I must be picky, I would say sometimes the result is a bit hesitant, i.e. jumping between 2 adjacent numbers, e.g. 17.0g and 17.1g, but I suspect this might be due to the fact that this scale's resolution is 0.1g only and therefore it might struggle to determine which figure to display if the weight is in between its designed minimum figures (e.g. 17.05g), and as I said, just a minor minor issue, which won't affect the intended purpose!
