Customers like the quality of the plumbing fixture. They mention that it's a solid piece of equipment, dependable, and well sized for intermittent use. The pump seems to be quite solid, with a sturdier handle than picture suggests. It's very lightweight due to the GRP construction, small, and very quiet. The thermoplastic construction should never wear out, and it handles itself well. Overall, customers are satisfied with the quality and durability of the product.

Customers are mixed about the flow of the plumbing fixture. Some mention that it pumps out water almost as fast as using the hose normally on, while others say that it works for slow flood irrigation and empties it in very quickly. However, some customers say that the rate of flow was not ideal, it takes a couple hours to pump, and it operates a bit slow.

"...This system works beautifully on dirty water and can pump a lot of water (although at low pressure) but the small 1" intake port can be blocked..." Read more

"...of years, (2100 of it's 10,000 rated cycles), it's having problems getting the water to flow...." Read more

Customers are mixed about the water draining of the plumbing fixture. Some mention that it gets almost all the water out, does a great job getting rid of it, and can take the water down to under 1/2 inch. However, others say that it doesn't drain to the ditch, it only burps out water intermittently, and that it starts blowing water back into the basin.

"...itself and it pumped everything out of there too and the floor is already nearly dry...." Read more

"...Believe it or not, the plastic absorbs water, also making the plastic weaker...." Read more

I truly don't know why the tabs that hold the base to the housing broke. When I contacted the manufacture, I was told there are no replacement parts, that I should just buy a new one. You can buy a new gasket from a third party. Also, over time, it loses it's ability to give good head (I hope you laughed) I push it to near limit so that the water doesn't flow too fast, but after a couple of years, (2100 of it's 10,000 rated cycles), it's having problems getting the water to flow. When I get a replacement, I'll get a 3/4 hp.Update 2021 Apr 21I was able to make the unit functional again. Nylon tie-wrap (cable tie) around the top of the bell and then four tie-wraps looped through the holes where the tabs where. You'll probably have to replace (or add a second) the o-ring "160 EPDM O-Ring, 70A Durometer, Round, Black, 5-1/4" ID, 5-7/16" OD, 3/32" Width (Pack of 7)" You have to get the tie-wraps really tight.A better fix would be a stainless steel plate with a hole the size the top of the bell and four 1/4" holes in the corners. Then two bars with 1/4" holes at their ends to cross across the bottom plate. The bars and the plate form a clamp using four appropriate length bolts with eight of each, washers, lock washers, nuts (all stainless)This failure appears to be a vast majority of the 1-star ratings. The failure, the tab breaking off, comes from three sources. Vibration of the motor wears it out. The thermoplastic ages and as it does, it gets weaker. Believe it or not, the plastic absorbs water, also making the plastic weaker.I considered using pipe clamps instead of tie-wraps, but they would probably break out the tab slots. The tie-wraps will give a little and break before the thermoplastic. Tie-wraps will suffer from age and water absorption, too, but they're cheap and easy to replace (be sure you get the o-ring properly set)A few 1-star reviews, including mine, noted insufficient head. The expansion and stretching of a hose will take up quite a bit of head. I'm now using 3/4 sched 40 PVC and getting about 13' with at about 6gpm.Bottom line, great design, great motor, bad selection of materials. So give the customer service people a break. How would you like to answer the phone knowing it's going to be someone less than happy. Vent your anger on the bad directives from the highest level of management.
