Druid Arcane: A New Adult Urban Fantasy Novel (The Colin McCool Paranormal Suspense Series Book 11) Kindle Edition
When his ancient druid master falls critically ill, Colin goes on a plane-walking quest to find a cure. Can the journeyman druid rescue the god of healing in time to save his oldest friend?
I thought that learning magic from a druid master was tough, but that was before I started taking lessons from an insane quasi-god.
For six long months I’ve been suffering under Click’s tutelage, boning up on my magic skills so I can survive the wrath of several Celtic gods and find a cure for my druid mentor, Finnegas.
It’s my fault that the old man is hanging on by a thread, and I’m determined to save his life.
Between surviving Click’s batshit crazy magic lessons and being harassed by the huldufólk, I’ve been trying to track down the Celtic god of healing. Only Dian Cécht can heal my master—and, he’s the only god Click trusts to do the trick.
Unfortunately, DC has been damned hard to find. And just when we finally got a solid lead, Loki’s brother showed up to throw a wrench in the gears.
Okay, so I may have killed Loki’s nephew. It’s not like he didn’t have it coming.
Bottom line? I might have to fight an army of fire and frost giants to save Finn’s life.
It’s a good thing I brought my wading boots, ‘cause shit’s about to get deep…

What Readers Are Saying:
"I was afraid that The Junkyard Druid was going to be another cheap Harry Dresden knockoff, but boy am I glad to be so wrong. It's hard to put into words why I enjoy this series so much. Maybe it's the humanity or the author's willingness to take on very real subjects like sex trafficking. I don't know. Whatever the reason, I'm hooked on the series." ~Matt S.

Editorial Reviews
Review
~ New York Times bestseller Joseph Nassise
"M.D. Massey's action-packed novels take the reader on a rollercoaster ride into an immersive universe of quirky gallows humor, nightmarish supernatural creatures, and high octane urban fantasy adventures. The pages are filled with paranormal suspense and a host of monstrous grotesques in plots that teem with twists and turns. And in all this perfectly streamlined chaos, one thing's for sure; Colin McCool's never going to stop fighting until he's saved Austin, Texas, and most likely the entire world."
~ Kit Hallows, Author of The Order of Shadows Series
"MD Massey's Druidverse is the perfect playground for urban fantasy fans who enjoy what we've come to expect in excellent storytelling from the genre. Fast pacing. Relatable characters you want to root for. 'Bad guys' you love to root against. With plenty of supernatural elements, mythology, and non-stop action, his world is richly crafted and complex, never feeling bogged down in the details--just how urban fantasy should be told. Master storytellers are able to balance excitement, anticipation, and suspense over a long series--and that's exactly what MD does in the Colin McCool books. A must-read!"
~ Paul Sating, Author of the Zodiac series
"M.D. Massey offers bantering humor and action-packed adventure reminiscent of Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files... a wonderful read with a snarky hero, quirky characters, bizarre creatures, and dangerous situations."

I really enjoy the plot twists, the classic quest format, the grounding in real mythology, and the interaction between the various characters. As a guy born in Japan, I particularly appreciate the occasional references to Japanese Mythology and folkways... and popular culture.
Without giving up plot features, I can say this is an outstanding book in a great series. The early books are good - the later books fantastic.
Many thanks to M.D. Massey for hours of escape from the weirdness that is 2020.
In the end, Colin's druid apprenticeship ends and he discovers that the memories of his early life had all been false.
This series has gotten progressively better, with each book as the plot builds and becomes more complicated.

On this trip he meets Loki and from the way he's acting he's not just a trickster God but one of just too lol.
But as the title says I cried. The characters are so well written that my heart breaks for Collin.
Also we meet his REAL mum 😮😮😮
Fab books.
