Daylight Follows is a heart-wrenching story that takes us from the darkness that envelops a group of friends after a tragedy to the light that comes as they make their way through. Their pain is palpable as each deals with the aftermath of the tragedy. It is also Dani and Garrett's fabulous love story. It is sweet and intense. The storyline is filled with a lot of drama, some suspense, a bit of a betrayal, and romance. I read it in a few hours because I found the story and characters compelling.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Garrett and Daniella/Dani. They knew each other in high school. Part of the same find circle with Kevin, Libby, Carson and Leah. But time moves on. Now Carson and Dani are dating, Libby and Kevin are married, Garrett is living hours away working as a mechanic and Leah still meets up with her for dinner.. But a dark cloud hangs over head.. Leah is killed in an accident, leaving her friends reeling. Dani takes it extremely hard and becomes withdrawn. Carson can't get her to open up and tries to force to into talking. When Garrett comes home for the funeral it's like lightning strikes him, Dani had been his crush years ago and she's still as beautiful as before. She feels safe with Garrett. She can talk to him and doesn't feel like she is getting tortured. When Garrett admits his feelings to Dani, she sees a different side. Giving them a chance.
