Publisher's summary

The Space Team Universe just got a whole lot darker.

In an alien city torn apart by crooked cops and ruthless criminals, private detective Dan Deadman specializes in cases unusual and bizarre.

Sure, he doesn't smell great, and he's technically been dead for quite some time, but if you've got a rampaging Hell-beast tearing up your street, or a portal to another dimension appearing in your bathroom, Dan's your man.

After saving a mysterious young woman named Ollie from the clutches of something big, slimy, and unpleasant, Dan gets entangled in a missing child case, a string of grisly murders, and a severed woman's arm that just won't leave him alone.

And then there's the demonic entity who'll stop at nothing to get its tentacles on Ollie, even if it means destroying the whole damn planet.

Times like these, Dan would give his right nut to be a real detective.

If he still had nuts.

From the world of Space Team: The Guns of Nana Joan, Dial D for Deadman is the first darkly comedic action adventure novel starring Dan Deadman, Space Detective.

Great Addition to the Space Team Universe

After reading the Space team series I immediately reached for the Deadman series. It did not disappoint. The humor is a bit more deadpan and drier than Cal and the SpaceTeam series but excellent all the same.

The mystery and SciFi mixture is done quite well and blends well. If you like the colorful characters like those in the Space Team universe and a good ol' fashioned detective story give this one a go. May you enjoy it as much as I did.

Dial D for Dud

Too much bathroom humor, the dialogue had too many curse words for filler. I did finnish this book hoping it would get better

Listen to Deadman Books1-3 before Space Team Book9

The end of the Dan Deadman series leads right into the beginning of Space Team Book 9: The King of Space Must Die. I wish I knew this beforehand, but it still made me re-listen to Space Team book 9 once I finished the 3 Deadman books so... maybe it all worked out actually.

Either way, thank you Barry J Hutchison for creating one of the best literary scifi universes.

great narration, entertaining and humorous

same writing as space team, tongue in cheek, intentional statements of obviousness. should be a good series. a dead guy and a leprechaun walk into a bar...

Super-fun and unabashedly wild

Incredible work from this voice actor bringing this work to life! A wild world of aliens of all sorts, epic fights, and truly laugh out loud antics of the main cast. Highly recommended if you love a pulp space adventure!

I really enjoyed this story. Laughed several times and enjoyed the banter between the characters. I will read more books in this series. Narrator also did a superb job.

Great book!

Great storyline and Phil is amazing as always in his narration! I am an avid reader but like audible as I drive alot at work and the narrator really makes or breaks even a good story. Thank you for my enjoyable long drives at work.

Great for laughs!

This book had me laughing out loud so much it made me look like a crazy person in public. The characters are fantastic, and the story line kept up a great pace that never lagged. I can't wait to get started on the second one.
