Alannah Ryan had always suffered in silence, until that silence became so deafening she spilled secrets that she never intended to. At one point in her life, she yearned for adventure, a nail biting journey … something other than the mundane life she led. Her pleas were answered in the form of a tall, handsome heart breaker with a mop of white hair.

Alannah’s dreams for an exciting twist in her life were shattered because of a teenage mistake. One that has haunted her for over five years, and left her in pieces.

Damien Slater was the reason for every bad thing in the lives of those he loved most. A decision he made when he was just fifteen destroyed his brothers’ lives, and there was nothing he could do to change the things they had endured. Ruining them hurt, but ruining the only woman who wanted him for more than one night hurt a hell of a lot more.

Running away helped Damien heal, and returning to Ireland only caused Alannah more pain. Pain he intended to eradicate and replace with the passion he knew they both shared. Breaking down her walls was not the only challenge Damien faced. Another had plans of his own, and his intentions weren’t for physical vengeance, but something far worse.

Damien values Alannah above all else, and what Damien values, Damien fights for.

Damien! I cannot conceal how long I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for this book ever since the Slater Bro series' first novel. We've all known that Alannah has always had it bad the the blonde Slater ever since their high school days but fate was not on her side that time. After one beautiful night together turned nightmare, Alannah has given up on that earth shattering love.... That is.... until he who broke her heart returns and is now determined than ever to right his wrongs and claim Alannah's heart, body and soul. But as we all know, there are secrets that Damien has been hiding from Alannah....all of the Slater bros and gals in fact..... How will Alannah take the danger, the secrets, and the betrayal? Will she be able to accept Damien's past and his misgivings? After all, she has first handedly experienced what that sting of misery from her own homstead and experience.

Needless to say, we all know that once a Slater man loves, he loves forever and Alannah is going to be in for the ride of her life.

Those of you who are also in the bandwagon of these American yanks and their Irish beauties are in for a treat in this one!! The Slater twins are by far my favorite from this series (with a close call of Alec's, then Ryder's and Kane's-- in that order--) and Damien's story did not disappoint. I just loved his alphaness he displayed at his workplace towards Alannah!! Yeeeee!! *fans self* I was like "yeah!! you go show that girl what she's been missing!! woohoo!!". Not to mention, the s*x scenes!! *fist pumps yessssss!!!* There could never be enough smutt for me. They were off the charts and my guilty pleasure!!

I'll be said when Alannah's counterpart book comes out and the following wrap up novel comes out, but, hopefully Miss Casey will keep on giving us tidbits and updates for us when she begins Keela's brothers' stories! Awww yes, more Slater lovin forever....preferrably with more babies. Haha.

Anyways, #one click this baby NOW!

What. A. Disappointment.

I was so excited for this book. So freaking excited. I’ve waited years for Damian. And this is what I get. Some generic sob story.

First of all, I hated Alannah. Casey ruined her character.
If the author didn’t have the balls to write about her heroine being in a physical relationship with someone other then the hero then she shouldn’t have wrote it. Why make a complete utter mess out of it.
So the character alannah has a fuckbuddy Dante. Which is totally cool, she’s an adult and she can sleep with who she wants. She doesn’t have any obligations to the hero.
But to find out that she’s only been sleeping with him as part of a fucked up experiment really didn’t sit well with me. Apparently alannah was using him to find out if she would be able to sleep with someone like Damian without having a meltdown... because Damian and Dante are very much alike. *eyeroll*
And the best part is she wasn’t even in a ‘full physical relationship’. They never kissed or did anything oral. *another eyeroll*
So many excuses. Why does the author need to give so many excuses over their purely physical relationship. Why couldn’t Alannah have had a normal fuckbuddy relationship without the author giving so many excuses. Why does it matter if she kissed Dante or not or if she gave him a blowjob or not.
And the worse part is Alannah goes around telling everyone that her relationship with Dante is just a experiment.
Imagine having a partner who goes around telling their friends and family they you are nothing but an experiment to them that compares you to their ex.
The first chapter you see Alannah ignoring Dante call because Damian found out and now she wants to end her relationship with Dante. I got so irritated at that moment, like pick up the phone and tell him it’s over, don’t ignore his calls and messages like a damn child. Act like a grown woman dammit.

The second thing that went wrong: Too Many Plotlines All At Once:
Her relationship with Dante
Her relationship with Damian
Her mother’s issue
Her father’s issue
Her freaking out over a interview for hiring a employee
Her cat

How does a person keep up with all that. Pick a plot and move on. I’m reading a book to relax my mind not to send it on an overdrive.

Third issue:

She tells Daimian that she wants to go SUPER slow because she’s afraid of having her heard broken again and few hours later she’s letting him go down on her. WTF. You were crying just a minute ago over how scared and sensitive you are and don’t want anything physical right now.

Fourth issue :

So many unnecessary conversations and scenes. Alannah kept going on and on and on repeating the same conversations with everyone she meets. She told her sob story to her mom then her friends in great details. We had to read the same thing twice, sometimes even thrice. Doesn’t Bronagh already know Alannahs story, why does she need to go into details 6 years later as if she has no idea what’s going on inside her BFF mind.
Alannah does something then she goes around telling everyone what she did in detail. We get it. Can we stop repeating the same thing over and over again.

I could go on and on with the issues I’ve had, but I’m just gunna stop right here because I’m getting mad writing this.
I tried really hard to finish this book but I just couldn’t. It’s been on my shelf for over a week now, I thought I would go back to finish it, but I just can’t be bothered to open that book again.
I’m done.

Damien is the dark horse of the bunch!

The Slater brothers had been in Ireland working off a debt for a mobster. Damien’s past has messed him up emotionally and three only way he can find comfort is through sex, but he never gets involved with any girl, it is just one and done.

Alannah fell for Damien the first moment she saw him in class and does not want to be one his one hit list. However, one night out drinking and dancing at a club and she can’t resist. He knows she isn’t the kind of girl who does one and done and she knows he isn’t the type to stay longer but they get together and in the heat of the moment, he promises he will keep her. Then the minute they are done he takes it back and breaks her heart.

After years of being away and self recriminations, Damien is back foe Alannah. He is ready to fight for her love. This’s book is utterly hilarious. You absolutely have to read the other books first, but the romance is spot on, the secrets and intrigue are great and the wit and humor is awesome.

I was being a big 'ol scaredy cat and kept putting off reading this book because I just was not ready for this series to end. I've been invested in the Slater brothers since I started the series back in 2014 and I'm not sure how to deal with them being over. But I'm glad I finally found the my lady-balls and decided to read Damien because I loved it.

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from Damien and Alannah but I knew whatever it was was going to make one fantastic book and I wasn't wrong. Which is a little funny considering the fact that they didn't get much page time as a couple and instead it was mostly Alannah that was focused on. But she was a really strong character so she held the book up by herself and still had me super intrigued. So in the end I don't consider it a negative thing the romance kind of took a back seat in this book.

What romance we did get though was really well done and I never once lost the connection that Damien and Alannah shared. I loved them as a couple and I was really happy with the way things ended up for them. Overall, I thought this book was wonderful and I would recommend it to everyone. Though, it definitely can't be read as a standalone without some major spoilers.

"3,5 We're Endgame Stars"

"The day I knew you were the one for me. We were eighteen, and everything had just gone to shit between us. You kicked me in the ball and told me to go to hell, and never come back."

This was a nice reading! Damien was a hottie and I wanted his book since I finished Dominic, and he had to be the last Slater Brother, of course! I was quite obsessed with him and how his story with Alannah would unfold. Damien took a while to get his great ass in my hands, that's for sure....

"You've ruined me for any other woman. You're the only one I ever want to touch again. I told you... you're my freckles."

That was me when release date changed...

description

Don't judge me! I'm not proud of myself either!

"I need you to kiss me, to touch, to fuck me...to love me so hard I don't know where I start and you end."

Let's get serious now and get this review started. I enjoyed this one, it was a nice book. There were a lot of funny and crazy moments whenever the Slater Brothers and their ladies were involved. I always have a great time when more than one of the gang are present. They tease and fight each other and those are my best moments in this series. They all are too damn funny.

"When you piss me off, I'm going to fuck you. When you get an attitude, I'm going to fuck you. When you smile at me, I'm going to fuck you."

Now Damien and Alannah were a cute couple and I liked them. But they didn't have a lot of moments just being a couple. I loved Damien he was possessive, jealous, a charmer and everything in between to make him a Slater. Alannah was the cute, quite, easygoing friend of the gang but she had some moments that annoyed the shit out of me. I mean all the previous heroines were annoying at some point during their books, so it was ok, I guess. But she made up sometimes...

"I have never come close to lovin' another person, it's why I've always been so scared when it came to you. I have never loved another person the way that I love you. You are my heart, and if you'll have me, I'm yours. I've always been yours."

As I said this book was good but not a great one since its the last Brother. I felt like the book was about Alannah and her family and in between she was trying to figure out her relationship with Damien. Don't get me wrong there were some great moments between the couple and the rest of the Slater family but I just wanted something more from these two as they started their journey. I guess I'll get that at Alannah's book.

You're movin' in with me, and we're havin' sex every single day at least three times. I want to have babies, five of them, ten of them. I don't care how many. I just want babies with you. I want to get married, but you hav'ta ask me da first, otherwise he'll kill you. When I want you, I'm havin' you, and I don't want to hear a feckin' peep outta you on the matter. Are you clear on all of that?"
"Yes. Fucking, Ma'am."

Overall, a nice reading. I'm sad that this series has come to an end, but there are two more books to come. I can't wait for the last where we get to be in Slater Brothers mind! That would be epic, hopefully. And I really liked the fact that we learn a few new things about the Slater Brothers' past.

***4 "We're endgame!!!" stars***

"You're my ride or die, Alannah."

The anticipation about this book was in high levels since the first book and as the books were proceeding, i was dying to get Damien's story....
But i think that my expectations were too high and the author didn't meet them...
Still, it was a good story, but not THE perfect story!!!
I was missing some things, especially from Damien's turn, but hopefully I will take them in brothers book where the brothers will finally have a voice!!! Hell yes!!!

Well, Damien and Alannah have a history together....
In Dominic's book, they had a one night stand and then Damien went and ruined everything for them... Alannah was left heartbroken and Damien run away from home and everyone around him...
But even though the heartbreak and the "hatred", the thing between them never stopped to exist...
In some point, Damien returned back home and the things between them were very tense...
Damien tried to apologised many times, but Alannah was pushing him all the times away...

"The biggest lie I've ever told you was that night in Darkness when I told you I didn'twant to keep you."

And now in the present, after six years from the first book, it's time for them to clear things between them...
All started at the end of Branna's book where Damien snapped to Alannah when she admitted that she was sleeping with someone else...
Now, they are forced to clean the air between them, but could it be that easy for them???
Especially when Alannah has already so much in her plate and when she is the only one from the bunch that she is living in the dark of the brother's past???

"I want you to know that what happened between us is our past, but it doesn't have to be our future."

Well, Damien during all the previous books seemed a very intriguing character.... He was carrying a big weight in his soulders and his regrets were too many... He was loyal to his brothers and in a way, he was loyal to Alannah, to the girl that had stolen his heart, but whom tried to protect from himself...
To be totally honest with you, i was waiting more of Damien... I wanted him to be a little more of a caveman... I wanted him to push things with Alannah... I think that was what she really needed, but because of his guilts, he was giving her too much space....

"You're my freckles."
"I don't know what that means."
"It means I've got you. Always."

Alannah was always sweet and kind, but her head was a little messed up with tons of insecurities!!! She wasn't as dynamic as the rest of the girls and it bothered me in a way!!!!
Yep, Damien hurt her, but she was so damn stubborn.... And since the first chapter in the book, i realized that Damien wasn't the only one to be blamed about that first time of them....
She pushed him and then, she couldn't handle it!!!!
Overall, she was a lovely girl, but too... insecure in every aspect....

"Your body knows who it belongs to; your brain just needs to catch up."
"Me brain and body aren't the one callin' the shots... The heart that you broke is!"

Well, i liked and this couple, even though it didn't turned out to be my favorite...
Damien and Alannah was too cute together, but all this lost time was so... unfair, i think!!!!
I also loved how Alannah was with the rest of the bunch, especially how close she were with the rest of the Slater brothers....
To say that i didn't enjoy these crazy peoples and their antics, it would be a blatant lie!!!!
I also can't wait for the turn of Collins brothers.... I'm sure that they will have too much to give us!!!! Slaters are gorgeous, but Collins are yummy too!!!!

"Everyone has demons, Dame," Kane said, "We just need to be meaner than them because you know what, bro? We deserve to be happy."

FOR GOODREADS

Raise your hand if you love the Slater Brothers 🙋
Raise your hand if you are love L.A. Casey's books 🙋
Raise your hand if you feel like you've waited for what feels like eons for Damien's Story 🙋
Raise your hand if you've silently cursed L.A. Casey for delaying Damien's story even though you've enjoyed reading the other Slater Brothers stories 🙋

I have never NEVER clicked the buy button as fast as I did for this one (I feel a sense of déjà Vu since I feel like I do this all the time when I am waiting for a book I have been dying to read hahaha)

Anyway, Damien is here! Damien is here!
Now, let take a few steps back and analyse it a little ok?(promise it's going to be short)
I was hyped up on the book but somewhere along the way I felt myself losing interest and rolling my eyes..I couldn't pin point it why though (I mean I knew why but at that time i didn't want to dislike ANYTHING). Once I was done with the book, like always I like to sit and 'bask' in all the book glory. Sadly I felt drained, too many 'plot twist' that were far too dramatic and convenient, that I felt were unnecessary. From The reason Alannah sleeping with the f-buddy, to her mother, to the interview ( I still can't wrap my head around this scene...I mean, seriously?), No ...too much 🙈🙉

Damien is the The shining beacon of hope! I love him...I love him..I love him.
This book was hilarious...I will not deny that because I found myself laughing like. Loon in the middle of the night (the trampoline scene? I still laugh when I think about it). I loved Damien and Alannah's chemistry... The entire slater family is insane and I love them all!
So, you might be slightly confused as to why I've rated this book a 4 star. Well, in all honesty I loved this book because this book brought me so much joy, Alannah may have disappointment me a bit but The Slater Boys including the wives didn't let me down one bit. I can't tell you how much I love the Slater brothers! They are a hoot!
have you read the Slater Brothers series yet? if you haven't, You should! I have a feeling you will love them.

4-stars

RECENSIONE COMPLETA QUI: https://thereadingslove.blogspot.com/...

description
description

These brothers just keep getting better and better.

I've been dying for this book in forever. Damien is the one that I 've dying for from the start. He is so different to his brothers even his twin. I know all the brothers have there own personality and dufferent. But there is just something about Damien that I love. He is so sexy I love his white hair and grey eyes. I can't pick which brother I love the most cause they are all brilliant. The woman are just has crazy as the brother. But Alannah is more reserved shy quiet. She is still strong and sticks up for herself she is no walk over but she is a lot more quiet than the other crazy bunch.

Free Image Hosting at FunkyIMG.com

Damien has been through so much in his life. When he was younger life was just crazy. He never had living parents and he needed that love and attention when he was younger. He is the youngest Slater brother even though his twin brother Dominic is only 4 mins older he is the youngest. He has alway felt that he is a burden to his brothers. He thought the problems that the brothers had were his fault. So he acted out when he was younger and hurt people. He ended up hurting the girl that he loved the most Alannah. He couldnt take away what he did to her. She was love of his life he had to get her back. She was his Freckles.

Free Image Hosting at FunkyIMG.com

My heart went out to Alannah in this book. She has to deal with so much goin on in her life. Everything just seemed to being thrown at her all at once. Everyone's lives were changing so quick to it was hard to keep up with at time. The girls were pregnant or had small baby to look after but Alannah was alway there to help. The kids loved her and it really hard not to life her. By the end of the book I did to. The only thing that was messing with her head was Damien. She knew he had tried to make things ok but he hurt her so much she never thought she could get over what he did. Even though she knew deep down her feelings for him were just has strong has they were when she was younger maybe even stronger. She just didn't know if she could deal with him and everything else that was goin on in her life. But deep down he was her Snowflake

I really liked this book. Like I said I was dying for Damiens book and want him and Alannah to have some sort of HEA. Nothing was ever goin to be easy for these two though. Even after talking things through it couldnt stay smooth after all they have been through. I was shocked by the lil twist I sort of knew something wasn't right but didn't see that coming. I ended up being a crying mess by the end of it. I just really wanted them to be happy they make a great couple there so sweet together. There nicknames for each other was so cute.

Free Image Hosting at FunkyIMG.com

I would highly recommend this book and series. It just keeps getting better and better. It's great to see all the brothers with there own families but all together to. I know there is still Alannah books to go but I m dad this series is nearly finished I just love it. Looking forward to Aideen's brothers books. The Collins brothers are just goin to be as bad as the Slater's. Can't wait !

Damien was probably one of my most anticipated reads this year. Hell its been one of my most anticipated reads for years if I’m honest. The last slater brothers story to be told and in my opinion the best one and that’s saying a lot because I have loved this series from the beginning.

Damien for me was the story I wanted, no needed the most. His past is painful and so sad and it’s the one that broken my heart.

Alannah she for me is the innocent one out of all of the women in this series. She has a heart of gold and will do anything for her friends and her family. Which is why I think she is perfect for Damien.

These two have a rough start in this one reconnecting with each other after all those years have gone by. Alannah is clearly guarding her heart and rightfully so after having it shattered by Damien. As soon as i started reading this book I was instantly transported to the moment and instantly felt what she felt as if no time had past.

This book was amazing and at many times throughout I could feel the hurt and the pain. Call me a masochist but I live for those angsty moments where you feel like your word may fall apart because you may have lost the one you love and this story at times gutted me completely.

Damien oh I knew I would love him and I did. I loved his patience, his vulnerability and I loved it when he went all Alpha. And I loved that Alannah came out of her shell and stood up for herself when she needed to. Even though she’s so sweet and innocent she’s also tough. Not too mention that we see her break out of her shell a bit in this and at times that had me saying hell yeah girl show him what ya got !!

At the same time however and what I absolutely love about The Slater Brothers is that there are also so many moments where I found myself laughing so hard. Whether it was because Nico was being well Nico and Bronagh was going to blow. Or Alec was being completely over the top because well let’s face it, he’s a bit of a drama king. LOL

But that’s the thing with a great series. You fall in love with the characters. They all bring something to the table. They all are unique and add something to the storyline whether they are the main focus or not and you just want to live in their world even if it’s for a few hours a day.

LA Casey always manages to create those moments for me where I find myself so wrapped up in what is happening. From the chemistry between Damien and Alannah, to the hilarious bickering between them all and even the moments where you waited on baited breath to find out what would happen next this book hit me in all the right spots.

I want to reread it immediately.

If you have never read this Slater brother series then you are seriously missing out. One of my top fav series ever which I’ve reread more times then I can count.

Damien was the fifth book in the Slater Brothers series by LA Casey. I have loved everything about this series and I have been anxiously waiting Damien’s story for several years.

Damien Slater was the youngest Slater brother and the twin to Dominic (book one). As with his brothers, he was tall and gorgeous. When we first met him he was the funny and light hearted one, but we learned over the series, it was a mask. He left for awhile and had been back a year or so when the book began.

Alannah Ryan was Bronagh’s best friend (book one, Dominic). She had crushed on Damien from the moment she laid eyes on him as a child. We know from previous books that they hooked up once and it ended badly. Alannah had refused to be around Damien ever since.

Damien was written with a single POV, Alannah’s. It was well written with only a couple of editing errors. It was also well developed, complex and multi-dimensional. I’ve always loved the bond and loyalty of the Slater brothers and it was even more magnified in Damien’s story. My only complaint, for lack of a better expression, was the beginning moved too slow. I desired getting to the point quicker. I did, however, love the last half of the book and the end.

Casey brought the storyline full circle with this final brother. Although each brother had their own story, there was an underlying story that was the central theme throughout each book. I loved that it finally brought it to a point where the future could now be the true focus. Casey also had the Collins family (Aideen’s family, book three, Kane) front and center, which opened the door for the new spin off series.

All in all, although it wasn’t my favorite of the series, it was a great addition to the series. We have one final novella, Alannah, that will conclude the series and launch us straight into the next series, the Collins Brothers, and I can’t wait!

Arrrrghhhhh! Well.... I didn't hate it, but I didn't like it either. This book felt like it lacked something compared to the others. I felt like since there were snippets here and there with Alannah and Damien in previous books that all was left for them to do was talk and be together and then DONE. And that is exactly what this book was. Also, too much of the book was taken over with other stuff that I didn't feel like we got any of Alannah and Damien.

Also, Alannah was the only one who didn't know of the brother's pasts. Why? That is so stupid. I get that originally you guys wanted to keep your pasts from the girls, but ALL OF THE OTHER GIRLS KNOW! And you're going to single out one of the them? Seriously? My stance on that is if you wanted to keep it a secret then none of the girls should know about it, but since all of them already know about it you should have told Lana, but instead she learned about it from someone else. Not cool!

The Slater Brothers was an okay series, I liked it enough to continue on through all of these books. But I only really liked two of the books, which were Dominic and Kane. The others were kinda duds. But I really continueed because I enjoyed the relationship/family dynamics between the brothers and the girls. I know there is a few more books if they are still happening to tie up the series which I'll definitely check out.

And extra thoughts: And btw, my heart breaks for the Alec reveal. omg! Must protect these babies!

What a waste of time. Okay maybe that’s a little mean but I am just disappointed - I had such high expectations for this book and feel really let down. There was nothing “new” to this book - Very repetitive version of the previous books. The first 50% of the book felt like the author just wanted her word count up - why else would she have the heroine tell each family member THE SAME STORY OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I was so over it - like we read what went down between Damien and Alannah and how they decided to be exclusive - then we had to read her tell the FULL story to her mom, Bronagh, and Alec... You get it.
It’s been 6 years since we were first introduced to these characters - so how come these girls still act like immature teenagers. If Bronagh isn’t hitting someone, threatening to hit someone then she’s asking questions that are none of her damn business. (like how Alannah’s gave Damien a blow job .... really?) No character development in my opinion.
The book had humour which is why I gave it 2 stars - the comedy from Alec made finishing this book worth it.

But hey, different strokes for different folks. I read that some people really enjoyed it and apparently cried at some points - I just wasn’t one of them. I’m still sitting here trying to figure out what the plot was.
I enjoyed every book up until this one, so to dislike it so much is really upsetting to me.

Alright.
I've been a bad, bad, bad girl.

I've been neglecting my responsibilities and putting off reading Damien, because - I'm a pussy and have this tiny little problem that follows me everywhere I go called "AFRAID OF DISAPPOINTMENT I'D RATHER LIVE UNDER A ROCK".

I've waited for this book a looooooong time, since I was 17-ish.
So my tastes were completely different and, I can now certainly state, out of control. As in, I needed help (same seventeen-year-old that loved Fifty Shades but ssssssh, I got a rep to maintain).

Because I loooooved this series so much the first time around, last year I decided, innocently, to revive my feelings towards the series, masochist that I am, I went blindly, sure that that was a great idea.
I should have known.
The whole world fell on me.

Yes.
That bad.
You can see my reaction to the first re-read of the series in my review here Dominic (Slater Brothers, #1) by L.A. Casey

And yes, I got as far as to re-reading only the first because as we all agreed I need to protect my teenage feelings.

Back to the point: starting Damien I knew my writing taste had changed, and that I no longer enjoyed L.A. Casey's style.
Which is a bummmmmmmer.
Because Damien is a wet dream.
He is the only reason I'm rating this with 3 stars.

The story is way too long, too many topics, unnecessary long ass dialogues (mostly I skipped), too much blabbering, Alannah is not at all as I depicted her in my head, almost annoying, the plot goes thirty-seven different ways and there are repetitions, repetitions, repetitions and repetitions. Everything is just plain and uneventful, feels like reading a newspaper, only that it has 400+ pages. Shame, really.

The thing is all this series has gone on and on for quite a while now and there is no originality. I swear, I would have loved to loooove it, but I guess it just isn't for me. It always had potential but to me not anymore.

I'm sure it would have been my cup 4 years ago.
I'm just happy Damien and Alannah got their happy ending and that I could get closure.
The story per se was cute, sweet and gave me the HEA I've waited so long for.

The execution just left me.. meh.

It was nice reading about all the other characters, because even if the story isn't captivating, the characters are a family, a family you learn to love because you feel like you are part of them after something like 10 books. The guys are idiots, funny idiots. They are characters well built, because if you read the other books, you remember them, their personalities and traits. And that's why it "hurts", because in my mind they are my friends. I'm friends with those idiots.

So yes, I love the Slater Brothers, each one of them, and their crazy girls and I'll keep loving them, in the corner of my heart reserved to teenage dark times, but in my heart nonetheless.

Despite all of the flaws this series has (and there are many), it captured my heart. I absolutely cared about the characters and that pulled me through the lack of editing , the repetitions, the needless scenes and weird and silly plot.

May I add something? L.A. Casey writes sex scenes like a champ though, 'll give it to her. All her male characters are on point .
She writes 'em hot, dirty and possessive. Damien was on fire and everything I needed to add him to my mind-harem.

Disappointing

This is not what I was expecting for Damien's book. First, we never get a chapter in his view. The entire series we've not seen inside his head, shouldn't we have in his own book?
Alannah, she was depressing. Complete Debbie Downer. I wanted backbone and strength! She let everyone walk over her to the very end.
Very little was out in to building a connection between them, we spent way to much time reading about a cat, a kid, or art.
I'm going to say something that is going to make you think I'm a jerk, but I'm only being realistic. The girls all being 'thick' and the guys all saying they thought it was perfect is not realistic. I felt like they were all the same character with no differing traits and opinions. I'm not saying that bigger girls aren't beautiful, I just think the author could have varied her characters.
There were other things that bugged me, but I think I have become a wee bit Debbie Downer myself.

I love this entire series and I was so looking forward to this one! I think a lot of fans were!

This one had a little less drama than the others, but still had a good dose of drama! The fear and pain Alana felt for her mother I felt too! But with me it's from my experience with my mom. (Still not accepting..)

I really enjoyed this one, it was a great read! With lots of interactions with the brothers and sisters! It was so good to "see" them all again!!

Since when I read DOMINIC I was in love with Damien. His book was the most wanted and I remember I was sad when I discovered that it would be one of the last. My love for him was huge. But you guys understand, right? DAMIEN was not only my most anticipated book in the series, but pretty much everyone who is a Slater fan. It was with my heart pounding that I began to read and it was with a smile on my face that I finished it. The book was a lot lighter than I expected - I expected more drama like the others - and I confess that at first I thought it might be something I wouldn't enjoy. However, I just read now and you know what I thought when I finished? "That's exactly how it should be."

The book begins with the prologue already shown at the end of BRANNA's book. And from there we know even more Alannah and, through her eyes, it is proven what we already knew: Damien is such a beautiful loveble guy!

When they were teenagers something happened between these two, and it didn't come off as expected. Damien left and after a few years returned to try to correct his mistake. I thought the book was going to be a drama with Damien just begging to go back to her and Alannah trying to push him away. However, it was more natural, more real and more mature. Not only focusing on a possible relationship, the two of them decided to really get to know each other as they were many years apart.

I found it super cool the author has shown more of the Collins brothers here, much more than in the other books. Between one scene and another we learn more about them. It was a great way to present them to the already fans of the series. For those who don't know, the author will write about Aideen brothers. And I confess I'm so curious, especially with the story of Gavin and Dante.

I loved Alannah's mother!!! A mother who is like a friend who can make fun and tease her daughter. I found it super fun. This is a strong trait in these L.A. Casey books, that humor in the midst of the drama. I also laugh out loud with Alec. After Damien he's my second favorite. LOL

It was beautiful, it was fun and super romantic. I really love this family! I don't want it to end ever! And there are going to be a hundred books yet to come, people! So I can only be happy that we will have more of the Collins and in the future SLATER LEGACY about the children of the Slaters brothers. From a fan to another: DAMIEN was worth it. I highly recommend it!

Obrigada!

I can't believe that I've finally read Damien and Alannah's book! And I really can't believe that it was everything that I could've hoped for, and more!

I remember when I first started this series in 2014 and I felt like I would die waiting for this book. This book has been a very anticipated read for me and a part of me worried that once I finally read it, that it wouldn't meet my expectations. I mean, when you wait four years to read about a couple you have some very HIGH expectations that really aren't fair. But L.A. Casey managed to meet them and I couldn't be happier with the way this story went.

Damien and Alannah are so perfect for each other! I was worried that this book would be angsty and that it would take them forever to actually be together but I love that instead, we got to see them work through their issues and still be together. There was no unnecessary drama, no fights just for plot sake, everything that happened in this story had it's purpose and it only furthered their relationship and solidified it.

It was so great seeing the gang again but I love that they didn't overwhelm this book. In the past it sometimes felt like there was so much secondary moments that we didn't really get to see the actual couple be together but in this book there was a perfect balance. Don't get me wrong, I love the secondary cast so much and I love every single scene with them but Alannah and Damien completely stole the show for me.

I also want to point out that I felt like the writing was so much better in this book. It wasn't only the way the book was constructed but the writing itself, felt so much better than the previous books. I've always loved this author's writing style but it's nice to see that improving because every author, no matter how good they are can improve.

I'm so sad that this series is almost at an end. I've become so obsessed with this group but I am also soo excited for the spin-off series and it makes me so happy to know that I have many more books from this author to look forward to for years to come.

Damien is the fifth book in the Slater Brothers Series, it's a interconnecting series so i would recommend reading in order to get the full experience of this great series. For any L.A. Casey fan this is the book we've all been waiting for since book one!! And what a read we have been given in Damien's book.

Alannah and Damien's journey to HEA is full of up's and down's, emotion's are all up in the air. With secrets revealed can redemption and forgiveness be given??

Damien was everything i hoped he would be, he's had time to come to terms with what has happened in his past. He's back in Ireland and ready to to fight for and give his all to the one girl that has held his heart without even knowing.

Alannah has always been the sweet girl, i loved getting to know more about her. She really came into her own even though with good reason she was very guarded when it came to Damien. She had so much to juggle in her life with Damien being back, her Father and Mother and also trying to manage her business. At times my heart broke for her and as she slowly opened up to Damien, i couldn't help willing them to get together.

This series has made me laugh, cry, giggle and it continued to do so within this book. Especially Alex, with cup-gate he was also the one who made me cry in sadness!! The twists and turns that you won’t see coming will leave you on the edge of your seat, there are some secrets revealed that will leave you breathless and with your heart in your mouth.

One thing i loved as well as getting to see all our beloved characters. Was the bigger introduction into the Collins Brothers. We knew of them with them being Aideen's brothers but we got so much about each of them leadings us into their series and i can't wait to see what will happen with them!!

Damien's book was beautifully written, i love a family series and the Slater Brothers has been amazing. I'm sad that were closing towards the end but that is the greatest thing about the written word they will always and forever be there. When it's a book or series that you love it will forever stay in your heart as well. The Family aspect has shined through with L.A. Casey's books and i've loved every minute of it. #FamilyIsEverything

26% that's how far I made it into this book before I cried! so emotional at the beginning but before the end I was in stitches laughing it was crazy good, another brilliant addition to the Slater Series Damien does not disappoint ladies he is everything I hoped for and more.
Alannah is quirkier than I thought from the other books but she's is very likeable but I want her man so it's ok if I hate her a bit right?
Awesome Read cannot wait for what comes next from this author.
Would Damien Be My Book Boyfriend? Hell yes, he is my book Husband I #Claimed all of the Slater Brothers from Dominic They are Mine!

So.....There were a lot of funny and crazy moments with Slater Brothers and their ladies but.. ughh. I enjoyed it , it was a good book but not a great one not by long shot. This is not what I was expecting for Damien's book like at all. If i'm being honest I had quite a few issues with this one.

This story is about Damien and Alannah finding their way back to one another. For those who don't know what happened: the two of them had a sexual encounter six years ago, after which Damien left. And by doing that leaving Alannah in a very bad condition emotionally. So after all these years of heartbreak and pain they want to bury the hatchet and continue their relationship in a romantic way.

Too Many Plotlines All At Once:
-her relationship with Dante (Why does there have to be need to give so many excuses over their purely physical relationship. Why couldn’t Alannah have had a normal fuckbuddy relationship without the author giving so many excuses. Why does it matter if she kissed Dante or not. And the worse part is Alannah goes around telling everyone that her relationship with Dante is just a experiment. Imagine having a partner who goes around telling their friends and family that you are nothing but an experiment to them that compares you to their ex. )
- her relationship with Damian,
-her mother’s issue(I just can't stop thinking that this part was completely unnecessary)
-her father’s issue
-her freaking out over a interview for hiring a employee (Even this part i just don't understand why was even necessary of him even finding that job when he could just talk to her)
-her cat

Maybe thing that bothers me most is the fact that there is so many unnecessary conversations and scenes. Alannah kept going on and on and on repeating the same conversations with everyone she meets. We had to read the same thing twice, sometimes even thrice.
Also thing that bothered me was the fact that no one visited alannah like ever. And ending was rushed.
And to conclude this review I just wanna say the amount of time it took her to write this book I honestly think that it should've been better.

The story could be amazing but is flat and boring. I was expecting characters richer in personality and the story built differently. I’m actually disappointed with the characters because they were forced to look funny but most times it was unnecessary for the story itself. Besides, the ending was so anticlimax. Not a bad book but definitely not the best of this series which is sad because Damien seemed to be the best character. I thought Alannah was going to be the best female from this series but she is so boring, annoying and confused. The romance itself didn't even made my heart skip a beat. It felt all so rush and robotic.

Anyway, at least we finally have the book here.
