The creator of the book has taken very nice very old pictures and digitized them. The Kindle version still allows you to download the pictures off of the book companies website and use them or look at them how ever you want.Most of the pictures are a bit more graphic than you would want to hand over to a 10 year old, but they are all very nicely done. Depicting images from Catholic bible stories, political humors and random historical figures. Each one has been cleaned up and are very high Res.I attached a very simple picture from the book. Neither the creator or publisher has a great deal to preview (because then why buy the book), but for the small amount of money this book cost it is worth the price of entry.

I had seen a few of the other drawing in the book before, but most were new to me. I really enjoy looking through the book to find ideas or just themes to practice drawing. Many come from sources I have not seen before (as I collected a lot of Dover pictorial archive books many years ago). A worthy book to have if you like printed reference material dragons and mythical creatures and the downloadable images is an added bonus. It might have been better if there was a separate volume for dragons and a separate volume for mythical creatures so that more examples of each could have been included.
