Pat Backley is an author based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Her first published novel was Daisy in 2020.

In 2021 she released her memoirs From There To Here, With An Awful Lot In Between, along with the sequel to Daisy The Second Daisy. She also co-authored Barnes & Nobel Bestseller The Warrior Women Project: A Sisterhood of Immigrant Women.

2022 saw the release of her travel memoirs

Seventy Years Worth of Travel: Snippets From a Colourful and Interesting Life, and Valentine George – the first novel in her ancestry series. She also co-authored Relatable Voices.

In 2023, Pat published the second title in her ancestry series, Lou and Eustace, alongside The Abandoned Wives Handbook: A Gentle Guide to One of Life's Great Traumas.

Pat continues to put pen to paper, with multiple titles in the pipeline for 2024 and 2025 release.
