Since all my old umbrellas 'melted' in the hot sun and high humidity in the car and garage I needed a new one and this seems to do the job pretty good. Opens with one click and closes with one click again. After that we need to push it so small size (which loads the spring for the next time) and we can secure it with the strap and put it back into the very soft case to protect the umbrella or other stuff in the pocket.It's not super sturdy, but decent for the price and for the size (and weight). Can even withstand normal windy weather. Grip is good and it doesn't leak. That's all I wanted and so I'm happy so far.

I inadvertently parted somehow with my push-button umbrella; so when looking for a replacement and after looking at a few reviews decided on this item -- and I couldn't be happier! The mechanism on my old umbrella was so-so, especially the collapsing and stowing which wasnt the best. And although some reviews suggest it is cheaply made, be assured it is quite the opposite. This item is warrantied as well -- the manufacturer stands by its product! The only down side at least for me personally is the storage velveteen case which could be made out of mesh netting like my old one which allowed for ventilation and faster drying to the extent the umbrella could being in a folded state. But all in all, this is an outstanding value and a quality product.
