Finding our Way #1-2

Finding Our Course: Collision Course Duet

Rate this book
I fell in love with my brother’s best friend the first time I laid eyes on him. He walked through the door, flashing me a crooked smile with his blue eyes shining bright. I knew in that instant, he was the man of my dreams. As the years went on, my feelings grew stronger, waiting for the day he’d see me as more. “Devon Harris, when you turn eighteen, I hope to God you still feel this way.” Bryce whispered sweetly, hugging me close. “I will.” I vowed, knowing this was a promise I’d keep. Then the unthinkable happened. Bryce shattered my heart into a million pieces, leaving me devastated beyond repair. I took the only choice I had, leaving behind my dreams of him and any chance at a future together. Time and distance did little to heal my heartache, but I forced myself to move on. Right when my life starts to make sense, Bryce returns. I tell him it’s too late, but he’s determined to prove me wrong. Together, we’re thrust into a world of undying passion, unrelenting devotion, and promises of a future worth fighting for. But life has a way of threatening even the most solid foundation and our bonds are tested. Can we really have it all? We find ourselves facing obstacles and decisions that change the course of our lives-forever. For the first time ever you can read the epic love story of Bryce and Devon in one edition. Finding Our Course, the Collision Course Duet was previously published in two separate books, Finding our Way and Staying on Course.

Disappointed..spoilers

Sorry but this was a boring read for me. Both books were rinse and repeat storyline. The guy just keeps on letting other females manipulate him. She was okay with him being drunk while another female takes advantage of him. Drunk or not I don't think him kissing and having another female give him BJ was okay. Really...not believable. The reason that he kissed another female cuz he was thinking she was you was weak and unrealistic.

The whole duets could have been written in one book. There is no real obstacles and characters development to the plot except repetitive oh he mess up and oh I forgive him. On book one, he gets someone pregnant and that was pretty much the beginning of rinse n repeat. Rinse and repeat cuz book two is when he got drunk and the other women did the deed on him. Same scenes as book one. Another women.

If he didn't care for the other women on book one, why have unprotected sex? Her being pregnant was given. Oh yeah she lost the baby so he can get rid of her and be with the h. Writing was good..but the storyline was boring and repetitive. Don't waste your time if you want more substance in a book. The author can write though since she shows the characters emotions instead of telling. This is my first book reading on this author. I probably read her other books though. Two stars for a great book cover and talent in writing emotions.

This was one of those books with an amazing start but without an actual plot. No twist , no conflict, nothing.

She loves her brother's bff. He loves her but she is 3y younger and he said that they will have to wait until she is 18.

She is now 18and the same day she finds out that the huy she loves is engaged because he was stupid and his date got pregnant. She is heartbroken...18months laters he comes back like a posessive alpha and wants her back because all their problems are now solved. the end.

Devon Harris knew Bryce was the one for her and when a moment ended with a promise of what it would be like when she was eighteen, she knew he had one her heart. At eighteen that faith in what they might have shattered and it has taken Devon awhile to get over it. Now life is good but Bryce is back and he has a plan, a plan that includes Devon. Can Devon take another chance on Bryce or will it blow up and crush her for good?

I have been a big fan of Ahren Sanders for awhile and this is another fantastic story by this talented author. I love the way the characters feelings are explored, you are rooting for this couple and hope the challenges they face do not break them. Excellent read.

Bryce and Devon's story takes us on a windy path, there is no straight road to a Happily Ever After for them, in fact there are parts of the story that make you wonder if they will actually find their pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Please be warned that you will need tissues near by at times, I know I sure did.

I had read the first book a while back and never got to the second book unfortunately so I am so glad that I got to read this book!! To be able to go from one book straight into the next was just brilliant. But in true Ahren fashion in what books I've read of hers so far she will break your heart, I mean absolutely rip it to shreds! I'm not a crier usually but Ahren can have me bawling throughout her books. She has a way with words and descriptions that just digs deep down into your soul. But after she breaks it she'll put it back together. It might not stay fully healed but you always get the Bad with the good like real life and that's one of the best things about her books. And these two books are just amazing!! And I'm not going to give anything away but that. This is one of those books you need to read and take everything in on your own. And just know that you will go through every emotion that you can think of while reading it. You will not want it to end!! I highly recommend this book!!!- By Tina

Finding Our Course: Collision Course Duet from Ahren Sanders contains the books Finding Our Course and Staying Our Course.

I am a sucker for anything that involves falling for brother or sisters best friends. However The Collision Course Duet is so much more than the usual lusting after the best friend and then they are suddenly together. It is an emotional roller coaster. I loved Devon and Bryce. I loved their devotion to each other but boy oh boy do they go through it. They have to fight for it and it will have you holding your breath praying these two can finally have it all. There too is no way you won't fall in love with Quinn. What a best friend to have. This Duet is one of the best that I have read in a while and I am so glad that I got to read it. I was missing out and didn't even know it.

This is the second book I have read from Ahren Sanders and I am so in love with her writing style and characters. I will be reading more of her books just as soon as I can. I can't wait to discover more or her amazingly good books.

Finding Our Course by Ahren Sanders is the Collision Duet and contains the books Finding Our Way and Staying on Course.

Staying on Course: Picks up where Finding Our Way ends. Bryce asked "The Question" and Devon said yes to his proposal. Now they´re engagaed but both have to graduate and a long distance relationship isn´t always easy. Both chase their goals and work on their careers and they´re successful. But jealous enemies try to throw a wrench. That nearly ends them.Finding Our Way: Devon Harris has a loving and caring family, her parents are great and her brother is a typical protective big brother. And then is there Bryce Randolph. Her brothers best friend. She loves him since forever. On her 18th birthday she has high expectations. These are crushed in seconds by Bryce´s fiancée. She´s devastated and moves away for college.
Now, 3 years later, Bryce is back and he wants Devon back. He´s more than determined and has his sights set on this goal. They´re back together and now their love story starts.
Devon is a young woman, she just learns what she wants from life. She´s a excellent student and successful in their field of work.
But they´re so young and can a long distance relationship really work?

Finding Our Way and Staying on Course are two very well written books. I love the story and I love the characters. I could feel the characters emotions in the words. They wither every storm and obstacle thrown their way.
Favorite Quote: " You are my compass. And my anchor. " Bryce.
I recommend the duet and give 5 beautiful stars. Thank you, Ahren Sanders!

This is 2 books in one. The first book is super short only 27% of the overall download. It’s about Devon and Bryce finding their way back to each other. Really not a lot happens but it is a really cutesy love story. The second book continues their story with a little more action thrown in. If you like just sweet love stories this is the book for you. Honestly in my personal opinion I was borderline bored through the entire read. The story was well written and feel the characters were well developed.

My heart broke so much but then found happiness again! I felt like I could read about these couples forever! Quinn is so freaking funny! This story really touched my heart & shows you that real love can make it. I don’t want to say this is my favorite book from this author bc I seem to say that a lot after her books. Lol
I can’t encourage you to read this book enough.

Devon and Bryce are one of my absolute favourite book couples. They won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I absolutely adore them. I love the drama, the absolute devotion, the progress of their relationship. For me, these books have everything I want in a book.

Really good book albeit too long. The author really knows how to write her OWs manipulative and determinant for sure.

I fear that, even though H really loves our heroine, there will be cheating in future. He puts himself in all these vulnerable positions without realizing it. His heart is clear for sure and he is kind and compassionate but he does not realize that he gives mixed signals which can be taken advantage of by any determined OW or in a state of drunk which he does not mind to be in a lot. His and her jobs take him and her away from each other a lot and he can be in a tempting situation easily. I would say him kissing another woman is cheating even if he didnt, in his drunken state realize, that he was kissing another woman.

Love the family and other other characters and their stories.

Also like the lessons that the author wanted the readers to pick up on. Thought provoking.

Beautiful Story

This was an amazing brothers best friend book.I loved Devon and Bryce!!! I also loved all the secondary characters. It was easy to connect and fall in love with all the characters. I loved Devon and Byrce's journey to thier HEA!! I really like how the drama wasn't streched out and holy hotness for the love scenes!! This was my first book by this author and I can't wait to read more!!

This book features both books in the Collision Course Duet, Finding Our Course and Staying Our Course.
and as the years
I love the Brothers Best Friend romances and this one didn't disappoint. Where is was slightly different was not that the romance was off limits it was the story of them getting together and staying the course to achieve their HEA.

Devon fell in love with her brothers best friend Bryce, the first time she laid eyes on him and as they grew up her feelings increased. After finally kissing him when she was 15 he tells her that he hopes she still feels that way when shes 18. After waiting 3 long years she finally gets her chance only to have her heart shattered. She does the only thing a broken hearted girl can do and that's change her college plans and run away to a different college with her best friend Quinn.

Time does nothing really to heal her shattered heart but she finally forces herself to move on and enjoy her life, that is until Bryce comes after her to force her to listen to him and be apart of his life again. They have wasted enough time and now he is coming after his girl and making sure she knows how much he loves her.

Of course the path of true love never does run smooth so obstacles are put in their way. Will they get their chance to have it all?

I loved all the characters in this (but would have loved to see more from Nate) Bryce did annoy me sometimes, he did put himself in the most idiotic positions sometimes always trying to be the nice guy so I did want to slap his head a few times! The love these two shared though was beautiful to watch play out, the devotion to each other was definitely one of fairytales.

I cant wait to read more from Ahren Sanders

OVERALL 4 1/2 out of 5 stars...

Finding Our Course
4 out of 5 stars

I love Ms Sanders and everything I’ve read by her has been outstanding and this book wasn’t any different. Devon and Bryce have a history and their connections can’t be stopped.

I loved the way that it wasn’t all fairy tales and sugar for these two, but that they didn’t fight what they both knew to be truths.

AND then you throw in the best friend, Quinn and it’s a party!! I love when secondary characters can pull you through in a novel and Quinn is one of the best book best friends ever.

This was a quick read and I’m so glad that it turned into more because reading Staying on Course was the best decision I made this week!!

Staying On Course
5 out of 5 stars

While I enjoyed Finding Our Way (the novella that began the story of Devon & Bryce) there was no way to know that would so deeply fall in love with these characters. This story had me from the beginning and I knew that it was going to be hard at some point, but I pushed through and I’m so glad I did.

My emotions were all over the place with this book and I loved every second of it. The romance and secrets and trials and tribulations that lead these characters on their paths is so worth the time. Even secondary characters to secondary characters took pieces of my heart with them in this book. I’m so sad that it’s already over, but so glad I got the chance to read it.

Ms Sanders has a wonderful writing voice and this novel changes the way I want to read. I will not doubt be in a serious book hangover after this for a very long time. Thank you for giving us characters that we will keep in our hearts forever.

This duet is one of my all time favorites! Steamy, sweet, and with just the right amount of drama to keep you glued to the pages but not have you throwing your kindle in frustration (we've all be there.) Finding Our Course is yet another example of why Ahren Sanders is an autobuy author for me. I could, and have, reread this duet over and over again and never get tired of it.

Devon has been in love with her older brother's best friend, Bryce, since she was a young teenager. Convinced he doesn't feel the same after the heartbreaking day of her graduation she changes her course and does all she can to avoid him while trying to heal her broken heart. Bryce never stopped loving Devon even when everything went wrong while he was patiently waiting for her to be older before making his move. With his life finally back on track he's on a mission to fix their future and get the woman he loves back no matter what life throws in the way.

Bryce is one of my all time favorite heroes. He's sexy, sweet, and loving while still being all man. The way he loves Devon is so adorable and he has no shame in showing the world. There is nothing and no one who can stop him on his mission to win her back not even Devon herself. Devon was cute, sassy, and a total sweetheart. Her love for Bryce ran so deep that she never really moved on from him. That doesn't stop her from making him work for it when he comes back though! Finding Our Course is the perfect way to spend a day lost in an amazing story!

truly a rollercoaster of emotions – Devon and Bryce have known each other for a very long because Devon is Bryce’s best friend little sister – brothers best friend – she’s been in love with him for very long but on her 18th birthday he brings a girl to her party and tells everybody that they’re pregnant and engaged. One and a half years later she’s in college with her best friend Quinn we love Quinn and she’s going home for the holidays and Bryce somehow gets a seat on her plane right next to her and tell her that he’s gonna win her back and that it was all fake because the girl was a manipulator. a bunch of stuff happens, they start dating and eventually they get engaged. That’s the end of the first story. The next story Devon and Bryce are engaged and there’s a lot of back-and-forth with Bryce in the military and Devon doing her journalism thing She’s very successful by the way. there’s this girl, Liza, who’s in his navy group or whatever and she is always trying to get them apart and eventually one night she like face a whole thing and Devon gets really mad because it’s like kind of weird because it looks like he’s cheating on her and stuff but yeah, the big thing that happened was that Bryce was in a navy accident in the engine or something and he was in a coma, and eventually after that coma, he wakes up and they get married, and they have one kid in the future and another. On the way is the epilogue the end.

I VOICE TYPE THIS SO THATS WHY IS LOOKS WEIRD

This is 2 books offered as one and available through Kindle Unlimited. It is written in Devon’s pov.

Finding our Way - Devon falls for her brothers best friend when she is 12. When she is 15 they share a kiss and he tells her that he hopes she feels the same way when she is 18. On her 18th birthday not only does she graduate high school and plans to tell Bryce her feelings, she then meets his fiancee and is devastated. Instead of planning to go to the same college as her brother and Bryce she changes her plans and they don’t reconnect for about 18 months. At this point he goes all out to explain what happened to her but also sets out to win her back.

Staying on Course - Bryce got a little on my nerves in this book always interfering with Devon’s plans. He graduates college and OCS school and starts his Navel career. Devon continues college and they see each other as much as they can. We have almost the same drama in this book as book one which was a let down but we do get to see them get their HEA. There is a nice epilogue that gets us up to date with all the other characters lives in the book set 5 years in the future. 3.5 Stars

5 HEART-MELTING STARS!!!

If you are looking for a second chance romance, older brother's friend and a college setting, then this dazzling duet is gold!

Ahren Sanders Finding Our Course takes you on a journey of two hearts that beat as one. It takes time, maturity and understanding for Devon and Bryce to find their course. It's an amazing journey, not perfect at all and that's what makes it just right.

We meet Devon as a young teen who has feelings for her brother's friend. The journey of her heart starts with such innonce and goes through some difficult heartbreak. I absolutely loved it! These two books need to be read back to back and I'm very happy the author has combined them so beautifully into this one book.

You will hurt, laugh and love with Devon & Bryce and their misfit gang. The secondary characters are a perfect fit that help the story flow. You will not be able to put this one down.

Great series that you will want to just jump into!

I fell in love with this author and her books in 2015. I was fortunate to have read both Finding Our Way and Staying On Course back then and was now able to read them in this refined new Duet version - Finding Our Course: Collision Course Duet. The story of Bryce and Devon begins when Devon is only 12 years old. Bryce is her older brother Nate's friend and the three along with Devon's friend Quinn grow up together. The relationship grows and matures between Bryce and Devon but it is a long road filled with betrayal and heartache, separation and fear. Now don't get me wrong there is also a lot of romance, heat and passion. Yes I love to re-read and it was a pleasure to revisit the world of Devon and Bryce was again.

Second chance love! I really loved this book! Friends Nate and Bryce are best friends with a shadow, Nate’s younger sister “Devon. Devon falls in love with her brothers best friend at the age of twelve, he is fifteen. They eventually find the moment
and the kiss happens. Life continues with the boys going to college and Devon continues her infatuation with Bryce. Devon plans to make sure Bryce knows how she feels on her eighteenth birthday but it doesn't work out. Eventually the two meet again, and he’s free to connect with Devon, the two renew their bond and come together as a couple. We are left with the question... will they will find their happily ever after? I really look forward to the second book in this duet

I had read the first book in this duet several years ago before book 2 was out and I had hoped that Bryce and Devon would get their happy ending. When I saw this duet I couldn't snatch it up quick enough to find out how this sweet and sexy couple ended up. I was sucked in right from the first page and I am still wanting more even after finishing it a few days ago. This will be another Ahren Sanders hit that goes into my reread pile, right next to Declan and Raven and of course Finn. She knows how to write a sexy alpha male with such deep love for the women in their lives. Can't wait for what is next!

What to say

To begin with, I loved the book. Obviously because I gave it five stars. I love the relationship between Devon and Bryce, the character development was remarkable. But I never understood how they had all this money to pay for these flights or the girls apartment for that matter, I know Bryce said he had a job but the girls?. The book made it seem like money was never an issue which is cool and all but I think it would have been nice to see the character busting backs to get something for someone. I also wish there was more his point of view. But honestly, the book was great! Probably a top 5 for me

Okay...

This is a tough one. I have only read one other book by this author, so I know she does second chance romance. I couldn’t get into any of the characters in this book. Most where very bland. The H was...very stupid. His inability to recognize basic manipulation made my wonder how he graduated from OCS. NO MAN can be that stupid. I mean...or maybe he is. Like other reviewers have said the second story is a wash and repeat from the first. Same dumb mistakes by the H. Again, this guy is in the military. Has he never read the Art of War? I just couldn’t get into this because of the H.

Cute

Would have liked dual pov but it was still good. Also would have liked a bit more back bone from Devon she was a tad weak heroine to me when faced with drama. Bryce needed a hard lesson in humility about her being with other guys when he clearly was no virgin yet he wanted to be a alpha jerk thinking she had a history after what he did. I mean if he could have an history with sexual partners why couldn't she???? That was abit 1930s thinking. However I really loved the story. The drama was cool.
