Alan wake is a very special game, the tense atmosphere at night contrasts to the calm of day.

Meet Alan, not the most likable man ever but few writers are and experience his story a twisted tale that at times frankly is a bit confusing. Despite the confusing elements this game has a lot of heart. I'd highly recommend it and at the price it's a bargain.

I played this game and both dlcs back on the xbox 360 and I preordered it on ps4 digitally so I could play it the minute it launched. It has a free upgrade to ps5 which I also took advantage of. After having played it I felt compelled to order a physical copy for my collection so here we are.

Alan wake is not the best game of all time. But it is one of the best horror games I've ever played and its the closest thing you'll ever get to a good Stephen King game.

Drawing heavily on the Twilight Zone, Twin Peaks and Stephen King this tale from the minds of Sam Lake and Remedy Entertainment is worth the time and while the ending may leave you with more questions than answers the journey is most definitely worth it.

For the best experience play this in the dark alone with headphones.
