10/10 would buy again. Might buy another set just to have a backup at some point but this is pretty awesome.
The kit comes with a cable to connect to a camera (like my Canon M50) and even an extra cable for a phone. Wind muffs were great as I film outside at carshows, so it helps keep out the unwanted wind noise. The carrying case is an extra plus as it keeps everything in one place!
Pros:
- Great sound
- Eliminates unwanted background noises (wind, cars going by, and even my neighbor's windchimes)
- Easy to use
- I love that if my wife records, she can plug-in headphones to the device and actually hear things real-time so we can make corrections without filming a lot and having to watch it back on the camera speakers.
- Easy to setup
Cons:
- Pricey, but it gets the job done! Well worth the investment for better quality on my videos.
- Can't just turn on and start recording. You have to power on the device on the camera and also each microphone separately. Bummer, but this is typical on microphones like this.
I am giving this 5 stars because the pros outweigh the cons for me. If you want quality, you have to pay the quality price and you also have to understand how these devices work, so I don't feel like they take away from the product. Great microphone setup and I would recommend to everyone I see.

First off, let's talk about the carrying case. It's compact and holds everything you need to take with you.
The cables and such only include ONE charging cable, and it does not have a wall plug, so if you need to charge all three components at the same time, you will need to buy at least two additional USB-C charging cables. That's a bit of a disappointment. Maybe in future releases of similar systems, Comica might consider including enough cables to charge all the components simultaneously, or an adapter that goes in the wall and has enough plugs to charge everything all at once.
On the topic of batteries: the product listing here on Amazon boasts of 6 hour battery life, which is a bit of a stretch. I was able to maintain power on all three components for about 4 hours before needing a charge. Still, that's pretty impressive, especially considering the small size of these things! I'm a little concerned about how long the batteries will continue to work optimally because they're internal and cannot be changed by the end user.
I got a little over 100 feet of range outdoors with no obstructions.
I like the fact that the transmitters have built-in microphones that you can set up with wind muffs that are included with the kit. The detachable lavalier microphones also provide very clear and crisp audio when used with the transmitters.
The variable settings on the receiver are pretty easy to access, and not too hard to understand if you read the manual! Another reviewer mentioned that the menu-driven options on the receiver are pretty clunky to access using the buttons on the device, and I concur 100% with that assessment. Another issue I had happened when clipping the transmitters to clothing. I kept accidentally pushing the buttons on the transmitters while adjusting their placement. It may be possible that persistent use of the system would solve this problem, but I think it's worth mentioning.
The fact that the receiver has a real-time headphone monitor is a big bonus, especially for anyone who might be using the system with a smart phone.
In addition to this, the receiver only has a belt clip. When you consider that it comes with cables that are no more than 10 or so inches to plug into the recording device that's being used, that could be a problem. I ended up clipping the receiver to my iPhone when I tested it with the phone, and to the leather strap that is used when you're going hand-held with the camcorder. There should be a shoe adapter for use with regular camera equipment and maybe some kind of velcro or something like that to use it with a phone.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the quality of the set, and would recommend it to anyone who might be in the market for "pro-sumer" level wireless microphones. This system has plenty of features, sounds very good, and is pretty easy to use. The outlook for long term use is still in question due to the internal batteries that cannot be changed, but for the near term, I think this system is worthwhile!
Top reviews from other countries
Update: still sounds great however; if you don' pair the transmitters to the receiver, you may experience drop outs. I also had issues with this in a situation where there was car traffic close by.
Second issue, which is more serious is that, a few weeks ago, the right channel out of the output connector (not the headphone jack) stopped working which means that now I have to output using the headphone jack. One of the problems with that is that because of differences in impedance, the output is much hotter so I have to adjust the input level in my camera. I contacted Comica as this is under warranty still. They have been communicating but they seem to be stuck on determining if the problem is real or not. I had to do a video to show them what the problem was and even told them that the headphone jack worked fine but they still had to ask me to try that out. It's like they never watched the video! Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to get a replacement receiver. Stay tuned...
Update: After a bit of back and forth and having to make a videos to show what the problem was, the company is now sending me a replacement receiver! As a bonus, they are throwing in an extra lapel mic as well! I'm glad to see that this is a company that does great after sales support!
