Circle B Ranch #2

Catching the Cowboy

Rate this book
Settling down and starting a family is something Diesel has considered, regardless of his one-night stand reputation. However, he just might be single forever since who he wants is off-limits—his best friend’s little sister.

He’s been in love with her for years, but betraying his friendship could ruin everything.

Rowan Bishop is over men, especially after finding out her boyfriend cheated and left her heartbroken. After graduating from college, she’s back home and has to face the one guy who purposely gets under her skin—her older brother’s best friend.

She hates that she’s attracted to him, but she’s willing to fight for who she wants.

Spending time together is a bad idea, but neither can deny the chemistry sizzling between them. Late night talks turn into spontaneous adventures and just when Rowan’s willing to admit how she truly feels, Diesel’s past catches up with him and ruins their picture perfect romance.

One secret turns into another and before either can grasp their new reality, more truths unravel—threatening to expose their forbidden relationship.

**Catching the Cowboy is a complete standalone and can be read without reading any of the other books or series, but if you prefer to read in order, start with Hitching the Cowboy as the characters and families do interconnect. Suggested for mature readers only.**

Best Friend’s Sister | Cowboy Romance

The Circle B Ranch series is probably my favorite from the author duo even though I have LOVED their previous novels. I think what I like most about them is how charming these cowboys are and how hard they work to get their women to fall in love with them. There’s something so appealing about a strong man falling weakly to their knees for the girls they love. Sigh… It’s so beautiful! Another thing I love about this series (and this book in particular) is how it’s not an angsty, edge of your seat read. Sure, the books have minor twists in them, but nothing too heart dropping. I did find myself with a little bit of nerves when reading THIS twist, but I knew it would all come together smoothly so I didn’t sweat is as much as I may have if the angst was ramped up. If you want a book that’s low on angst and high on swoons, this is the perfect book to get lost in! I read Catching the Cowboy in one sitting and loved every second of it. If perhaps you’re looking for something with more angst, I recommend reading their Roommates Duet series where there are three sets of duets each filled with their own twists, turns, and emotions! Those books are much different than these in terms of content, but still written with the Kennedy Fox flair many of us have grown to love.

On to the book! This is Diesel and Rowen’s story. You may recognize then from Hitching the Cowboy as they were secondary characters who clearly had a thing for each other. Neither of them knew it at the time of that book, but you certainly get a feel for their attraction in it. Rowen is Riley’s sister (he’s the hero from Hitching the Cowboy) and Diesel his best friend. You know what that means! This is a best friend’s little sister romance! Diesel and Rowen both hide the fact that their attracted to one another out of fear of repercussions from the Bishop family (PS: there are 4 books in that series as well!). Rowen is afraid of what her family will think especially because she recently got out of a relationship with a cheating scumbag, and Diesel doesn’t want to lose his best friend. So, what’s the pair to do when they share a scandalous kiss in the break room? Well, you would have to read it to find out! Be prepared for all those swoony, lovey dovey feelings, and some fantastic chemistry! There is a twist that ramps up the story, but it fits in WELL with everything even though it doesn’t seem like it at first!

The more and more I read books from Kennedy Fox, the more I want my own cowboy!

This was such a fun best friend’s sibling romance. This is the second book in the Circle B Ranch series and it follows Diesel (Adam) and Rowan. Diesel is known for his player ways and he has never had a real relationship but he is ready for one if Rowan will be his other half. Diesel is funny, hard working and totally swoony. Rowan is sassy, fun and the perfect fit for Diesel. Rowan hasn’t been the biggest fan of Diesel’s since before she was in HS and now that’s she’s returned from college to help work at the family bar, she has to see him everyday. Rowan and Diesel make such a cute couple and they are my favorite couple so far in the Circle B Ranch series. It was so fun to see them actually start to be friendly and then see something more between them. I absolutely adore Kennedy Fox’s stories because the side characters always have such a huge part in all their stories and even after you read a certain couples novel you get to see them in future books.

Thank you Kennedy Fox and Wildfire PR for this opportunity!

Nooooo! It was so so good until the secret baby came halfway through, spoiling everything. Yuck. I hate when that happens. Now Rowan won't be the only one giving Diesel kids. :(
Aaaand to top it off, the baby momma ends up with the main character's ex?! Wtf.
So so mad that this is how it ended. What a waste of a good story.

⭐️ 4.5 "Row & Adam" Stars ⭐️
I was so elated about starting Catching the Cowboy, a brother’s best friend romance that promised humor and stunning romantic moments! Since meeting Diesel and Rowan in the previous novel of the Circle B Ranch Series, Hitching the Cowboy, I knew I needed more of this couple with their intense antagonizing and perfect chemistry. Kennedy Fox indisputably stole my heart for the umpteenth time with this small town romance featuring my cherished Bishop family! I can’t get enough of these pleasant characters!

Diesel was such an endearing hero with his cocky attitude and witty remarks, but most of all seductive southern charm. I was ecstatic for his own love story. Let’s say that he’s so much more than a sexy cowboy with playful repartees. It’s clear from the start that his feelings for Rowan are real and strong even if he’s always been open about them under all the teasing. Rowan being back in town after graduating college is the perfect opportunity to finally get the girl of his dreams. They have a rocky beginning, Rowan still seeing Diesel as a player. But with his never-ending determination he gradually proves that he’s so much more than the annoying boy of her teenage years. He’s a man knowing what he wants and he makes his new intentions very transparent.

Rowan is my favorite kind of heroine with her sass! She doesn’t succumb to Diesel’s irresistible charm right away, but makes him work for it. Their attraction is powerful and their romance is truly lovely! They start slow, keeping their relationship a secret. They are so sweet, pretty and adorable together. Their gorgeous romance had me smiling, laughing and utterly mesmerized!

Catching the Cowboy was the picture perfect small town romance with all the swoon-worthy scenes and more! Rowan and Diesel made my heart beat recklessly from the pure beauty of their story. I loved seeing the different members of the Bishop family and their heartwarming dynamic. Now, I’m more than ready for more of the Bishop cousins! Maize, Kenzie and Elle have me so intrigued about their love interests!

I love this world so much. The Bishops are everything. I loved seeing the Bishop brothers be dads to their now adult children. I adore every single character and the way they turned out. This book had me laughing so much, but there are a few parts my heart hurt a little bit.

Rowan is sassy and mouthy with a whole lot of attitude and I freakin love it. She doesn’t let any man tell her what to do and I live for that. Hahaha.

Diesel has my freakin heart. When we first meet him in Riley’s book, I thought he was just a player, but when we hear his whole story omg his heart. The way he waits and does everything for Rowan has me on the ground melting. I swooned so freakin hard. Also, the whole cowboy thing is so freakin hot. Makes me want to have a cowboy!!

Their relationship starts as a love/hate relationship because Rowan literally can’t stand him, but Diesel freakin loves her and loves messing with her. Their bantering was my favorite. Adam Hayes knows how to wow a gal. Let’s just say that. The surprise in this book, I adore so much. The way Diesel steps up and loves him is the cutest freakin thing.

I adore this world so much. And I can’t wait to read the next book on Maize and Gavin, sounds so good. I have three other characters I would love books on Ethan, Elizabeth, & Kenzie. So, let’s hope I get them all.

5 Star review Catching The Cowboy (Circle B Ranch #2) by Kennedy Fox
AUDIO REVIEW:
Narrated by Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter, this is Rowan Bishop and Adam (aka Diesel aka Big D)’s story and I was drawn in from the start. Their performances were spot on and really brought the characters to life for me.
Diesel has been in love with Rowan for years, but knowing he isn’t good enough for her he has never told her. Complicating matters is that he is her brother Riley’s best friend. Diesel has a reputation as a love them and leave them kind of guy. After finding her boyfriend has cheated on her Rowan has returned home to the family ranch and in her face is the one man who has always gotten under her skin, Diesel.
The chemistry that sizzles between them is impossible to ignore, so what will happen when they finally cross the line? Will Diesel finally go after the woman he has wanted for so many years? Will he put his friendship with Riley at risk for a chance with Rowan?
Finally deciding that it’s their time to take a chance on a relationship with one another all appears to be going well until life throws them a rather large curve ball. I really loved Rowan and Diesel together, the banter was witty and they really suited one another.
Catching The Cowboy is well written and you will be drawn in by the story that Kennedy Fox weaves.

I was so pumped for this story!!!!! Y’all know I’m a hoe for a brother’s best friend novel & this one brought it!!!

Diesel has been in love with his best friends younger sister for YEARS but never tried anything because he didn’t want to ruin his friendship with his bestie. One day everything changed… and he decided he was ready for more.

Rowan is done with men after getting cheated on by her douchey ex. She is officially done with college & moving back home to the ranch. What she isn’t prepared for is to be near the one guy who always manages to get under her skin…diesel. The more time they spend together, the more she realizes she’s actually attracted to him. There’s more to him than meets the eye but is it worth it to date someone she was forbidden to date?!

Goddamn tho their banter & chemistry was HOTTTTTTTT. Like plz who doesn’t love a dirty talking cowboy who’s obsessed with you 😮‍💨

I’ve decided it’s probably time to stop reading this duo’s books. There has only been a four star once the rest have been threes. When I picked up this series I thought I would stick to it but as I’m reading i feel like I’ve read the plot before. The thing is, if you build a world and enjoy it so much you write stories of the next generation you should mix up the plot, I’m not kidding when I felt I had read it before!

This best friend of the brother plot line has been done by this duo. I think they did it better the other time too. What I can’t understand is why it had to be forbidden. He has an early morning job and she works at a bar that keeps her up late. Yet, he somehow survives burning both ends of 5e candle. I believe that he has been infatuated by her forever but that didn’t stop him from enjoying other women, this point is also one that irks me. Then the big point...how very inconvenient and in reality damn near impossible.

It seems that anytime a member of 5is family leaves this ranch for a “holiday” they knock people up. That trip the last book used as a plot device to impregnate a heroine had the same effect on this hero. Only it’s not his heroine. It takes us out of the romance and becomes nasty. Not in peeps behavior but in distasteful drama. So this is the end of the line for me and this cowboy series.🙃

The entire book could be written in 40 pages, honestly. There was basically no plot. Also, I don't know if that's really how things are in Texas given that I don't live there, but is it normal that everyone was obsessed with pregnancy and marriage at 23 years old??? Even the heroine's mother encourages her to get pregnant after being with the hero only for six months! It seemed a little too much to me. I don't know how many more books from this author I'll read in the future. I read some books from another series and while they are entertaining and feel-good novels for sure, they're just nothing special for me.

It's always such a joy being back at the Circle B Ranch. Catching the Cowboy was such a highly anticipated book for me ever since it was announced and Rowan and Diesel did not disappoint.

Their story is a brother bestfriend to lover/childhood crush with a couple of other things mixed in that I won't give away. Diesel really surprised me. We met him as a total playboy in Hitching the Cowboy and we got to see a whole other side to him in this book and it was so good. He's such a good, fun loving guy. I adored him and his romantic, pining for Rowan side. Their hateful but cute banter and teasing, the flirting behind being a jerk, being honest while everyone thought he was just joking... no one ever seemed to take Diesel serious but he showed everyone just how serious he really was about Rowan Bishop.

These two were honestly just so adorable and cute, I loved them. Their relationship happened really fast but when you've been in love with a girl ever since you were fifteen and she finally sees you, there's no more time to waste. Catching the Cowboy was just a feel good romance with characters you'll adore, a couple of surprises you won't see coming but are so welcome and a family that never ever disappoints.

Once again Kennedy Fox gaves us everything, from more of our old favorite characters, to more of the other Bishop kids, introduced us to tons of new characters as well and gave us so many hints at future books that already have me dying for the next few books! I cannot wait for everything. I can't say this enough but I really could spend forever at the Circle B ranch and not get tired. If this series never ends, that is absolutely fine with me.

„One of these days, Rowan Bishop will notice me as more than a nuisance or her brother’s best friend.”

I love Circle B Ranch, my beloved Bishops and their adventures. As soon as I finished Hitching the Cowboy, I was eagerly waiting for Diesel and Rowan’s book and I knew I was going to have fun with these two. And Kennedy Fox did not disappoint! Catching the Cowboy is full of banter, sexual tension and swoon-worthy moments. It’s a perfect brother’s best friend romance, full of southern charm and teasing and that’s what makes this book super cute.

I loved to see that Diesel is more than just a laid-back playboy we met earlier. He’s romantic, flirting and protective. He’s also funny and playful. I admired his patience and persistence when it comes to Rowan. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was his tendency to downplaying. There are situations in life that require an immediate response and sometimes Diesel didn’t show concern for other people’s feelings. But even with this imperfection he’s a great character.

Rowan is a girl that can take care of herself. She’s sassy, feisty and she doesn’t let anyone to mess with her. But she’s also sweet and tender-hearted. She’s a real Ranch girl, who isn’t scared of hard work and getting dirty.

Ohhh, and dirty they got! The chemistry between Rowan and Diesel was sizzling! I loved their sneaking around and the growing sexual tension. And just when I thought that all the walls are down, Kennedy Fox served such a plot twist that I almost choked on my coffee.

If you’re looking for a swoon-worthy romance with low level of angst, then this is a book for you. Catching the Cowboy is a great brother’s best friend story, filled with charm and witty banter. This story beautifully shows the life on the ranch and the dynamics in the Bishop crew, who are one of my beloved fictional families. It’s also filled with sexappeal and emotions, and all of this is dressed in Daisy Dukes and cowboy hat. Recommended!

Diesel doesn’t remember a time that he wasn’t attracted to his best friend’s sister Rowan but instead of telling her how he felt he made it his mission to do whatever he could to get her attention. Now that she is back home, he is determined that things will be different and that means convincing her that the only place she belongs is with him.

Rowan has finished college and returned home to help out her family, but she isn’t looking for another relationship after being betrayed by her ex. The only problem is that instead of him being an annoying jerk he is sexy cowboy who has her wondering what if.

Diesel is the perfect combination of sweet and sexy while Rowan is feisty and fiery and interactions between them are both humorous and hot. Although their journey has its obstacles it only made their love and their relationship that much stronger.

There is nothing sexier than a dirty talking, HOT, cowboy! Diesel made me smile though the whole book, especially with his interactions with Rowan. I loved the chemistry and banter between them. You really feel the emotions while you are reading, Kennedy Fox is really good at that. It one of the reasons I love their books. The secondary characters were great too and really added to the story. Just enough drama to keep it interesting but not over done.
The writing was fantastic and I love that this is part of a interconnected series but can totally be read as a standalone. Definitely would recommend!!

I INSTANTLY fell in love with Diesel. He didn't grow on me - he didn't have to. From the first page, he had my heart!

Who doesn't love a brother's best friend story? You know the one where the brother declares his sister is off limits.

For years Diesel has teased Riley about how he lusts for Riley's sister, Rowan. What Riley didn't realize was Diesel really has had a thing for Rowan.

Oh how I loved this story! It had just enough of everything to make it come together. Add in a surprise I NEVER thought was coming and I was glued.

If you are a fan of the Circle B Ranch series / Bishop Brothers series, buckle up because this second generation is giving their parents a run for their money!

My favorite ranch is back people!!
My ladies Kennedy Fox have the best cowboys ever and I am so glad they keep adding more to The Circle B Ranch.

This was a very good secret lovers/best friends little sister. And with Diesel everything was hilarious. But he also showed he has a soft and sweet side. Only Rowen got to witness that side.

The banter with Rowen and Diesel was some of the best. And how they end up together made me all giddy. I loved them together. But I have to say that the twist that was thrown in there gave me anxiety!! I was biting my nails and needed to know how it all played out.

I am looking forward to Mazie’s story next! The set up for that one was just, gaahhh the best!!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again.... Kennedy Fox rocks at writing sexy cowboy romances! I can't get enough!!!

About Catching The Cowboy:

Catching The Cowboy is the second book in the Circle B Ranch Series by Kennedy Fox. This series is a spin off to the Bishop Brothers series. Let's call it a next generation spin off. Now it's time for Rowan Bishop to open her eyes and finally find love!

Adam 'Diesel' Hayes found his one and only love while standing in the middle of a dance floor with a middle school Rowan in his arms. He shared his first kiss with her that night, right before everything went to hell in a hand basket. You see, Rowan is Riley's little sister, and the only rule Riley has for his best friend is never even think about touching his sister.

Diesel can't fight his feelings anymore. He's tried and he's failed on multiple accounts. Now comes the hardest challenge he's going to ever face in his life, the challenge of getting Rowan to see who Diesel truly is and not the playboy persona he puts on for a show.

When a secret surfaces, Diesel is about to realize getting Rowan to acknowledge her true feelings is only the half the battle. Now he's forced with having to gain Rowan's trust back also.

My Thoughts:

I can't get enough of the Circle B Ranch series! With every book I read, my heart falls deeper for these Bishop kids. If you love cowboy romances, you all are in for a treat!!!

This Brother's Best Friend romance was everything I envisioned it being. The endless back and forth banter was the funniest thing ever and I loved the fact that once they formed that romantic connection, Diesel and Rowan never lost that banter.

Diesel wasn't as bad ass as I pictured him being, but I'm not complaining at all. I loved this man's personality as it is. I loved the fact that he was such a sarcastic jokester. Always saying things to piss Riley off was my absolute favorite moments. It has to be awkward for a brother to watch his best friend fall of his little sister. Definitely awkward.

Rowan was a spitfire, true to the word! I loved her feisty attitude. But beneath the fiesty exterior was a soft and bruised interior. Due to her recent failed relationship Rowan has sworn off falling in love for a long long time. And you can't help but blame the woman for feeling like all men are scum. My heart swooned when Diesel made his move. And it swooned throughout the whole damn novel after. I can't even begin to describe how much I loved this couple!

I decided to rate this novel a four star due to the fact that I felt, towards the end, the novel became to fast paced. I wanted more from these two. I wasn't ready to say goodbye! However, I am thrilled with who's story is up next in the Circle B Ranch series! I have a feeling this next novel is going to be filled with loads of DRAMA!!!! Bring It On!!!

"I really enjoyed this author's roommates duet series, and who doesn't love a cowboy, so I thought this was a no brainer, and I was so right. This is the first of this series that I've read and really liked it. I honestly think I might like these more because they are single books, part of a series, yet standalone.
There's so much history between Diesel and Rowan, she's known him all her life, he's watched and protected her most of his. Rowan is strong, independent and feisty. Diesel is her brothers best friend and knows all the buttons to push with her. Their back and forth is absolutely hilarious. Though when need be, Diesel can definitely pull out all the stops. This story is full of moments that will make you laugh but it also gives you plenty of feels." ~Shirley

Diesel's story is so good. He is as swoon-worthy as you can get. Rowan and Diesel are so cute together, but their chemistry, wow. You get everything in this story and I definitely recommend! ~Andrea

Cowboy Take Me away! 😍 Y’all know Diesel is one swoon worthy cowboy if he’s got me channeling my inner Dixie Chicks!
Catching The Cowboy did not disappoint! Diesel is Riley’s best friend, and when you meet him in Hitching The Cowboy he comes off as a playboy....He reminded me of Jackson….But I just KNEW there was more to him. In Catching The Cowboy, we see a whole other side of Diesel. A swoony, funny, romantic side. No one took him seriously everytime he confessed his love for Rowan, Riley’s little sister. They wrote him off as joking but he was serious and his pining and playful banter was my favorite.
Diesel and Rowan were so cute together. Once Rowan truly SAW Diesel they didn’t waste anymore time. Brother’s Best Friend is one of my favorite tropes, and Catching The Cowboy hits every mark. There’s witty banter, sweet childhood memories, an adorable couple who finally gets together, swoon worthy romance, a few surprises along the way, and of course the Bishop family- who always leave me with a smile!
From start to finish, this book was nothing but fabulous! I love revisiting Circle B Ranch, you always get to see couples from previous Kennedy Fox books, and the Bishop family dynamic is one I adore. It's been so exciting seeing the next generation of Bishops find love. I can’t wait for more! 🤗

Kennedy Fox is a master at writing tantalizing novels!

At this point, I never doubt that I am going to fall in love with anything this author duo writes. It can be any genre, any trope, and I would still devour it in one sitting.

Catching The Cowboy was yet another novel I can add to my "favourite novels" shelf. Diesel is one hot leading character, who will have you swooning, and continually picking your jaw up off the floor. He is funny, and won't hesitate to go after what he wants. Rowan will have you smirking with her sassy attitude, not willing to back down, and will continually saw what she wants.

If you haven't read Kennedy Fox, what are you waiting for? You are certainly missing out. If you have read them before, well then this is yet another novel you should be picking up.

5/5 Stars!

Adam “Diesel” Hayes has been best friends with Riley Bishop since they were kids and now that they’re both in their twenties, they’re lucky to work together at the Bishop ranch. For as long as Diesel can remember, he’s had a crush on Riley’s little sister, Rowan, but Riley always made it clear his sister was off-limits.

After catching her boyfriend cheating on her & graduating from college, Rowan decides to return home and help run her uncles’ bar in their hometown. She needs to get back to her roots and leave her heartbreak behind her. Rowan’s always found Diesel hot, but also equally infuriating. So when sparks start to fly between them, no one is more surprised than Rowan.

Finally Rowan & Diesel get their chance to explore the feelings forming between them, but when Diesel’s past catches up to him, he just might lose the girl of his dreams.

Catching the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox is book 2 in the Circle B Ranch series. I was so excited to read Rowan & Diesel’s romance since it was hinted at so much in book 1 and I wasn’t disappointed! I love the forbidden brother’s best friend trope and this delivered on this trope completely. This is full of drama, steam, small town charm and plenty of swoon-worthy moments. Couldn’t recommend the books set in this world more! 4.5/5 stars.

This book blew me away. From start to finish I was hooked into the story! Diesel was a great character, I loved his humor, and his playfulness, but he also knew how to be serious when the situation called for it. The best friend's little sister is one of my favorite tropes and this one stands out as one of my favorites. Rowan was a strong female who I could see myself being friends with in real life. The banter between them is stuff of legends, same for the banter between Diesel and his best friend Riley. I loved all the different locations this book took us, I always felt I was in the B&B right with them during all those scenes! This is a must read

Another book that gives us an insite into the new Bishop generation! I feel like I'm another member of this family watching from outside.
All the way through this book I was rooting for Diesel and Rowan, but it's a bit of a bumpy ride!
Another fantastic book by Kennedy Fox.

If you love reading about muscley sweaty cowboys and a friends to lovers romance this book is for you!

I wish this place was real, I would love to watch the Bishop boys whilst eating a mouth watering breakfast!

The hero likes the heroine so much that he sleeps with everything that moves. Want to know the most romantic thing? When they meet again he decides to make a move but guess what? He made out with ow the night before and has a hickey on his neck. Of course he is trying to change his ways of being a manwhore but that doesn’t stop him from making out. Urghhh!!!
There’s a secret baby with other woman involved too.
I don’t like this trope.
He discovers he has a son with a woman’s he hooked up with a few years ago. All this time he “liked” the heroine.
What a crappy story!

NO SPOILERS!

I absolutely loved Diesel and Rowan’s story in Catching the Cowboy! The storyline and characters were amazing, and I loved being back in Texas with the Bishop family and all of their friends.

I loved the storyline Kennedy Fox created for Diesel and Rowan’s sweet, sexy, charming, funny, and super swoon-worthy best friend’s sister/brother’s best friend small-town romance. The plot was very entertaining and I loved that it was fairly low angst. I loved everything about Catching the Cowboy and was ecstatic with the conclusion to Diesel and Rowan’s story.

The characters were phenomenal. I loved Diesel and Rowan so much, and their story has been my favorite of the Circle B Ranch series so far. I loved their personalities and smoking hot chemistry together, and how their relationship progressed throughout. I also loved Diesel and Rowan’s banter and interactions with each other. Diesel was incredibly swoon-worthy, and I adored him with all my heart. Rowan was one lucky woman, and I was definitely jealous, LOL. The secondary characters were a fantastic addition as well, and made everything more entertaining.

Catching the Cowboy was a MUST READ standalone contemporary romance from the seriously talented author duo, Kennedy Fox, and I would highly recommend Diesel and Rowan’s best friend’s sister/brother’s best friend romance! Kennedy Fox has created something incredibly special with the Circle B Ranch series and all of their other small-town romances based in Texas, and I can’t wait to read the next standalone, Wrangling the Cowboy!

This book had a little bit of everything. It was sweet and sexy. Full of banter and humour. And even had some emotion filled moments.✨

Diesel (Adam) and Rowan have know each other all their lives. Adam, being her brothers best friend. They’ve fought all their lives but secretly Diesel has always had feelings for her. When she moves home after graduating college to take over the family bar, he decides now is the time to show her his true feelings. But it’s not exactly smooth sailing.✨
.
I really enjoyed Diesels charming personality. There was no doubt that Rowan was it for him and you felt that. And Rowan, what a firecracker. These two had some serious chemistry that made this one heck of a steamy story. And what a sweet ending it was.✨
.
This, I do believe, is my first read by this author. And while the book had a bit of a slow start for me, being a little repetitive. But I found myself immersed in the story once things started to heat up. I enjoyed the family feel and side characters. You can feel the potential for great future stories! The introduction to the next book in this series sounds like it’s going to be a fun one! If your looking for a lighter romance that doesn’t skip on the steam, check this one out!✨

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I have not read a book by Kennedy Fox in what seems like so long, but their writing and storytelling sucked me right back in and held me captivated. I am a huge fan of brother’s best friend romances, add in a sexy cowboy and the push and pull of enemies to lovers and you’ve got me hooked. Catching the Cowboy is the second book in the Circle B Ranch series, where we meet Diesel and Rowan.

Diesel has always had a crush on Rowan, but not wanting to wreck his friendship with her brother and his best friend, he doesn’t act on his feelings. Diesel is a child living in a man’s body, but my god is he sweet and kind and all gooey in the centre.

Rowan has just broken up with her cheating ex-boyfriend and when she comes home to the ranch, she starts to see Diesel in a different light. She is loud, sometimes a bit awkward and a complete firecracker.

I loved Diesel’s determination to show Rowan how true and honest his feelings are. He had me swooning with his date ideas and his overall commitment to her. Unfortunately, a few bumps and unexpected surprises are thrown in to rock their already unsteady relationship, but they find a way to make everything work.

I feel like I’m always saying this, but I LOVE a happily ever after and this one had me smiling so huge my cheeks hurt. Of course, there was the little snippet to introduce you to the next characters’ book and I am so excited to read Maize and Gavin’s story next.

Kennedy Fox has finally answered all of my questions about Diesel and Rowan and their feelings for each other. I love this couple, and their back and forth sparring was hilarious, which set the stage for their romantic journey. It was obvious that Diesel had always been crazy about Rowan, but she wanted nothing to do with him. He was strictly in the friend zone, which made his job even harder. They had grown up together and Rowan’s brother Riley was constantly warning Diesel to keep his hands off his sister. Diesel was funny, hardworking and a good friend, so I was surprised that Riley felt this way about him. I love Diesel because he knows what he wants, was very romantic when it came to Rowan and was determined not to fail at his quest for her love. His feelings for her came from his heart, and it was fun to see how their relationship progressed. Rowan was smart, independent and eager to learn all she could about the family business now that she had graduated from college. I like her feistiness, the enthusiasm she had about her new job and the happiness she felt when she spent time with her cousins. The importance of family is evident in all of the Kennedy Fox books and I enjoy reading about the younger generation of the Bishop family. I love all the Bishop couples, but Diesel and Rowan made me smile the most, made me laugh and made me believe that true love does exist.

Catching The Cowboy – Kennedy Fox - 4.5 stars
*ARC received in exchange for an honest review *

Catching The Cowboy is book two in the Circle B Ranch series by author Kennedy Fox. This book is told in a dual point of view and is an enemies to lovers and a best friends little sister trope that was one hot and steamy read. Kennedy Fox are known for doing slow burn extremely well and this delivered in a big way! I was screaming at my pages at times wanting the two main characters to hook up already! This book has been in the makings for a while and was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and it delivered on all counts. It was hot, steamy, sweet and enthralling!

Catching the Cowboy follows Rowan a sassy, fierce woman who has just returned home a little broken hearted but determined to use her college degree to help her families bar succeed, and Diesel the bane of her existence since she was little. Diesel has loved Rowan for as long as he can remember but ever since their first kiss she has hated his guts, his best friend is her brother so instead of letting it be awkward he antagonises her since. Their relationship is built on sarcasm, sass and hilarious banter until one night when everything changes. Since Rowan has returned home Diesel has made up his mind to finally take a chance and tell Rowan how he feels.

This book has drama, steam, banter and friendship galore and is written in a way that has you devouring it in hours. The secondary characters added such a great depth to the book and Kennedy Fox has me wanting their story as much as the one I was reading! I absolutely adored this book and would HIGHLY recommend to any romance fan, I can’t wait to see where she goes with the rest of the Circle B Ranch gang!
