These are BY FAR the worst cameras that I have ever owned..... and not only that but also the worst on the market! I have a neighbor who has been coming onto my property and vandalizing it for over 7 months now. Recently, despite having 3 of these things, they completely missed him coming all the way onto our property in full view of the cams and ripping our sprinkler box apart. In fact, about 15 minutes ago a very old man came slowly hobbling- I’m talking the pace of a turtle- down our walkway and the cams didn’t pick him up AT ALL. If I’m lucky enough to actually catch a trespasser on camera, it’s just his foot. So there’s problem #1: they are garbage. Problem #2: forget watching your videos of nothing. Something sets them off yet when they start recording it’s already gone... so you are stuck watching a video of nothing.. if the recorded video even works which brings me to problem #3: the videos are all screwed up on ALL of the cameras as you can see in my photos. The camera will record and you go to play it back and you’re met with either a blank screen or screwed up video. This also happens a lot during live viewing. Forget live viewing motion because it takes an eternity to load and when it’s finally connected the object is gone. I hate these cameras and I’m really pissed I spent so much money on them.Also- to clarify, my WiFi signal is strong on them so it isn’t the WiFi or router.

I really like how this whole system works. So far I've been really happy with it. The app is really user friendly (though I didn't think I was getting the power base thingy), and it's been amazingly helpful for my husband's anxiety.

Although I'd advise that you don't let your dog get ahold of it, it's surprisingly sturdy. Ours is a heavy chewer who got ahold of it, and it still works. We just have to get some tape to hold the batteries cover in place.

There are Lithium 123 batteries that must be used for this. I suggest buying a cheap ($10) battery charger, and an extra set of batteries for this. That way once the batteries die you can replace them and simply charge your extra pair. That makes this affordable and well worth the price.

I love the Arlo security system because I can move the cameras around, stick them places conveniently by using the magnetic back, check them live from my phone, be altered when there is movement, and love that they are wireless. I gave four stars because of the batteries. I wish they sent the cameras with rechargeable batteries instead of disposable. You will need to buy a charger and rechargeable batteries for each of your cameras. It’s a pain in the butt to charge them. I suggest that you buy at least 4 extra batteries so you can have some fully charged while you’re charging the others. Other than the batteries, this would have gotten 5 stars from me.

The good
1) Easy to install on the wall as well as adding to the app.
2) Video quality is very good
3) Notifications are great, however you have to adjust the motion control so you do not get notified when birds fly by.
4) Small compared to other battery powered cameras.

The not so good
1) You can only add 5 cameras to one hub

I had to reset the base in order to get the system to be “ discovered “ by my mobile phone, I chalked it up to my own mistake, be sure to connect the LAN cable to your router before connecting the power! It took the better part of a day to get the sensitivity to motion and sound set properly. The quick setup instructions don’t offer much information, and navigating the support website leaves much to be desired. I tested the system by going in and out of the areas monitored, I am concerned that there appears to be a delay before recording activity in areas cameras are observing. I will update this rating after I have used the Arlo Netgear security system longer.
On a lighter note (pun intended), nothing motivates me more for getting in shape like seeing myself on camera from a multitude of angles LOL.

Tha cámaras are good but the costumer service its unbelievably ugly,those people are meant,careless,disrespectful and almost inhuman. I got my first one from Verizon and it was good as every company when it’s attracting customers they really sale you the product with an ok costumer service but ones you are in it and they grow bigger it’s when they begging to tread you as if you owned something to them when in reality each and every one of of whom consumers are the actual foundation of this monsters. I got this set within one year of getting my first one and when I call the company to activate them the guy on the phone from India because this company only hate Indians costumer service representatives;without Vaseline “ ok here is how much you have to pay today $150 dollars to activate the service” to which I replied why? When last year I didn’t have to pay anything because my cámara was connected to my Veryson service and it was exactly $75 dollars plus taxes to get them activate???? Then I said ok tell me what kinda of service would I get and here was his unbelievable answer: sorry but I can not tell you until you pay. Then I say what? What kinda of answer is that then again he said yes is the way it is I won’t give you any info until you pay for it. At the end and after my many questions of why this type of”””” costumer service “””””????? He said yes it is all about money. SO THIS IS THE TYPE OF POOR COSTUMER SERVICE you will get with them I had call apple costumer service several times many of them had the pleasure of speaking with a Latino costumer service representative and let me tell ya there is something about them that I have never get with other people specially the People from India I am absolutely NOT RACIST AT ALL but if am going to tell the truth let’s give details so you can make your own judgement ones this happens to you which I hope not.to me this is a good product but only if your patient enough to deal with the worseeeeee costumer service.

All around solid setup. Super easy to setup. Quality is outstanding. It’s the best bang for your buck out there. Did tons of research first. Although there are some cheaper options, none that come close to the build quality and subsequent longevity of an Arlo system.

arlo is an awesome camera, i have five on one system. been using for years, highly recommend. you can monitor 24/7 with up to five cameras for 9.99 a month. in this day and time every household needs this system. can adjust on any angle.
