Pros:
Easy to Zero (not 1 shot, but definitely 3 or so)
Night Vision that's crystal clear
Multiple reticles to choose from depending on your comfort level
comes with the IR Flashlight.
Cons:
It sits totally flat. Zeroing can be an issue and the reticle moves on your screen not the screen moving around the reticle.
Eats batteries like crazy, get a backup system that isn't disposable batteries. I ranger strapped a power bank to my stock to use.
Day vision in a range goes blurry for some reason.
Now on to the scope...It's heavier than expected and pretty bulky. Battery life isn't great at about 4hrs with the 4AAs, but you can power it with a external power source for more run time. I'm not really a fan of the manual focus, but it is what it is. If you want to hunt when you otherwise could not this will scope will do exactly that, it has compromises as one might expect when you want to see in the dark for a relatively cheap price of admission. Real night vision scopes have their problems too, price of admission being one and why this scope probably even exist.
Now on to actually using this scope. I don't expect any surprising problems and it feels solid, but it is a digital camera so who knows how durable it'll be over the long haul. Sighting in was pretty easy. I had read the instructions before heading to the range, but forgot to take them with me. Still I was able to do the one shot zero on the first attempt. That being said, once that is done you'll probably want to fine tune it. The user interface is simple enough and 20-30 minutes of use I was pretty comfortable with navigating the menus.
Concluding, yeah it's not "real" night vision, if you don't know or realize that going in I don't know what to say other than you need to read what this product is before purchase. The fact is it works just as described by Sightmark. It will allow you to see / hunt in complete darkness out to a limited range. That's about all I can say at this time.
Pros: cheap relative to "real" night vision, works
Cons: weight, battery life, manual focus
for the price it is a good night scope. It does eat batteries rather quickly. It takes 4 AAA for the scope and 2 CR123 batteries for the infrared light. I ordered a package of ten here.

Enter the Sightmark Wraith, a nifty TV sight with IR/daylight camera. The rear diopter ring can be focused onto the tiny TV screen so I don't need my glasses any more, and the front objective ring focuses the image coming into the camera. Winner.
It was a bit of a trick getting an adapter to go from a dovetail rail to Picatinny, and none of the offerings from Amazon were any good at all, but that's a different story.
It is quite a large scope, so aiming high/low/on target to cater for range to target took a little setting up with a field target at various positions in the chicken run. All sorted, now. There are many choices for reticle design, and a multitude of reticle colours to choose from. The menu is intuitive and zero-ing the sight was done in 5 shots (3 to get it zeroed, another 2 to be sure). It is water-resistant (not -proof) so a bit of drizzle does no harm. Battery life is a bit short (4 x AA last for about 3-4 hours).
By day, the rats are quite savvy - they see the beardy-weirdy with the bang-stick and RUN. By night, however, they seem fascinated by the dim, purple IR torch that comes with the sight and just stare at it, even after the air rifle has been fired... BANG!... "George? You all right George? You having a little lie down, mate?"... BANG!... "OW! OK, I see why you're lying down, now... Got a thumping headache... Bye, George..."
OK, so we shouldn't laugh, but egg thievery has dropped to an all-time low over the last month, so this sight is already paying off the investment.
It doesn't have laser range-finding but, at this price-point, it would be unreasonable to expect it. Invest a little time getting it sighted in so you know how much to offset vertically depending on range to target and you don't need that function anyway.
For a budget day/night IR TV scope, you won't be disappointed.
