Brinsea's Ovation incubators are a range of all-digital, all-automatic egg incubators designed with ease of use and consistently high hatch rates in mind. They are available in three models: Eco, Advance, and EX. Each model is available in two sizes: 28 and 56. This range of choices ensures that there is an incubator to suit every breeder's needs.

The Eco models are controlled by a highly accurate digital control displaying temperature and include Brinsea's alarm system. The Advance models add digital display of humidity and periodic cooling and the EX models include extremely accurate fully automatic humidity control for complete peace of mind.

All models feature programmable automatic egg turning as standard.

For the Serious Breeder

Brinsea's Ovation 28 and 56 egg incubators combine tough construction with high performance and egg capacity, making them ideal for the more serious breeder. Both incorporate Brinsea's new Induced Dual Airflow system, a breakthrough in incubation design which achieves new levels of temperature consistency. The incubator is constructed of ABS plastic, which makes it durable and easy to clean.

Eggs are held in tilting egg carriers. Hen egg carriers are supplied as standard. For greater flexibility large egg carriers can be bought separately to accommodate larger eggs up to goose size or 2 rows of smaller eggs of quail or pheasant size. Building on years of incubator design, the all new Ovation 28 EX fully digital egg incubator incorporates Brinsea's new "Induced Dual Airflow" system which achieves higher levels of temperature consistency for optimum hatching conditions. Convenience and complete control make the Ovation 28 EX the ideal incubator for the serious breeder. Automatic turning, automatic humidity control and comprehensive alarms provide reassurance of hatching success. Set the temperature and humidity you require and let the automatic controls do the rest. A simple and highly accurate menu driven digital control system gives digital display of temperature and humidity, integral automatic humidity control, automatic temperature control in °F or °C fully factory calibrated, high and low incubator and room temperature alarms, programmable automatic egg turning, fan assisted air flow with Induced Dual Airflow system and ventilation control. Like all Brinsea incubators the Ovation 28 EX has a robust and easy to clean plastic cabinet to provide the optimum environment for hatching. 28 hen eggs capacity with standard egg carriers provided but suitable for a wide range of egg sizes -optional large egg carriers available..

Disconnect from the mains power supply during cleaning. Ensure all electrical parts are kept dry. Do no immerse the incubator top. Never wash the base, egg carriers or cabinet parts in liquids over 120F. Do not use a dishwasher to clean any parts.

I bought the Ovation 28 ex (auto humidity control)and it holds the temperature and humidity exactly where I set it IMO. The difference (among features like cooling cycle/egg rotate timer,etc.) is it has an adjustable vent hole that allows you to get rid of excess humidity and maintain a level %. Inconsistent temperature and humidity is why cheaper units fail. The adjustable vent removes the excess humidity in the beginning and allows you to fine tune and maintain consistent humidity % afterwards. Humidity too high, open a little until it is drops the level. Cheaper units don’t. There’s more than that reason to buy it of course. The hardest thing to get used to is not going and checking on it every hour because it’s perfect, every time. It has a small hose that goes to a water bottle and a self-contained pump so you really don’t have to do anything. You buy this because you want all or most of your eggs to hatch. I don’t have anything to do until it’s time to remove the eggs from the carriage so they can hatch. I know the price is hard to swallow but if you can find it at a discount, buy it.

I would forget to add water SO the humidity control was made for me....

Holds temperature and humidity EXACT. My humidity ran away went to 75% so I called the company. AWSOME CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I had to wring out the sponge and turn humidity down to 20% and run it for a day to dry the whole thing out.

Now it works great.

One year later: I did 2 batches of chicks and one batch of guinea hens. Flawless 90%+ hatch rate.

this year I bought a 56 EX Just received it yesterday. Because of what I learned last year I was operating in an hour. It was up to temperature and humidity in 3 hours.

Now I will let you in on my secrets. I live in the arid plains of Colorado. It is dry and windy here so thank God (He guides me in most everything I do) I purchased the EX with automatic humidity control. SECRET: run a piece of tubing from the output of the pump to the center slot in the water pan. This gives positive water flow and you will get immediate response when the pump turns on. (it takes too long for the water to run through the slot.) Otherwise the pump will overcompensate before the control senses the increased moisture.

Just pull out the output nipple and push a piece of tubing on it. Shake the tubing down between the covers (make sure you have it long enough to reach the center of the water tray) and run it into the groves of the water tray. I have never had the humidity vary by even 1 percent.

Put your excess tubing in your freezer it will keep the tubing fresh for next year. You should replace the capstan tubing every year.
